Can I update the graphics card in my laptop?

Hi people,

I want to know if I can upgrade the graphics card to my laptop.

Now, a day most of the high-end gaming is not

working in my laptop and I'm very disappointed.

Please let me know if I can do it. My laptop model

HP  Pavilion DV5 1106AX.

Hello:

Unfortunately in most laptops today (including your own), the graphics may not be upgraded.

I watched the service manual for your laptop, and there is no similarly to other motherboards with better graphics available.

You can try the latest drivers from AMD to see if that helps, but you can't do anything with the material.

    Hello

Here are the specs of your machine:

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c02033074 & lang = to & CC = US & TaskID = 101 & prodSeriesId = 4074269 & prodTypeId = 321957

He uses: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M, which is soldred to the motherboard so practically you can not change because you have to change the motherboard, to buy the new video card, to change the cooling system... all adding up will cost more than a new machine.

    Kind regards.

    Hi mate

Unfortunately, the graphics card is not editable in most cases, it welded s and he a part of the motherboard.
But even you would be able to remove the chip on board additional parts like BIOS, etc. would not address the new chip.

    Hello!

I think that the authorized service provider is good and the graphics card can't be upgraded. It s soldered on motherboard and nontradable. :(
If you believe n t, please read this link from Toshiba:

If the graphics card is not fast enough, an upgrade of RAM can t help you.

    Hello

It is not really possible to update the graphics your laptop card - although it is called a 'card' in reality she is physically welded to the motherboard in the same way as a chip.  Even if you could find someone with the necessary skills to replace it, you would also have to re - write the bios to allow the new hardware - BIOS of HP have a 'white list' authorized equipment and anything not on the list will prevent starting laptop.
