Can I upgrade internal Wi - Fi card on my Equium A200?

My Equium A220 has a Wi - Fi card, based on a chipset Realtek 8187b and I would like to upgrade to one based on an Atheros chipset. Is the card extensible? There is nothing in the specs to tell if it is a Mini-PCI or built somehow.

Would upgrading to void my warranty?

Hello

Equium A220 is unknown to me, but I guess that the laptop uses the minPCI wireless network card.
In this case also use a network card wireless minPCI for an upgrade.

The wireless network card is simply plugged into the Mini-PCI port and the two cables (brown & white) belongs to the WLan antenna. The white cable be connected to the hand and the black to the

Hello I want to upgrade my computer, I know I can improve my ram with 8 GB of Ram, but I can update my graphics card it has linked graphics - AMD HD Radeon 8500 M

    • Hello

Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
Need new card system (can be),
Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
      Cost of the work.
Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

      I hope this helps.

    Hello

Here are the specs of your machine:

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c02033074 & lang = to & CC = US & TaskID = 101 & prodSeriesId = 4074269 & prodTypeId = 321957

He uses: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M, which is soldred to the motherboard so practically you can not change because you have to change the motherboard, to buy the new video card, to change the cooling system... all adding up will cost more than a new machine.

    Kind regards.

  • I was wondering if my graphics card can be upgraded

My laptop is a Pavilion DV7 and I have an ATI Radeon (TM) HD 6770 M 2 GB I want to upgrade to a graphics card latest as some games seem to require a graphics card that have 3-4GB and a large number of specifications better my laptop has all the details large in addition to the card after making a quick fn + esc , I discovered the full model name that I own is dv7-6103ei I realized that I can not upgrade beyond 8 GB of RAM, I have always that in order to at least update my laptop graphics card because it cost me 1600USD, but it's a great computer with all the specifications of good even to day if it is possible to update the graphics card what do you suggest as a possiblity of a card a chart that fits my laptop? I also understood the M after that the average number of the graphics card is mobile doesn't mean anything.

Forward who ever can answer my questions

    Hello:

There is unfortunately no way to update the graphics of your laptop.

There is no removable and replaceable graphics card.

Graphics processing unit is welded and integrated on the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced.

Your laptop has the best graphical configuration offered by HP at the time, so it is not even a better supported motherboard with that you can replace yours.

  • Can upgrade you the graphics card in this Machine?

I just ordered that model number HP Pavilion is m7-1015dx I really really look forward to receiving this laptop having specifications really very good for the price. The only thing that was really bugging me bad, it's that "can upgrade you the graphics card in this machine? Since I am on the Hardcore Gaming and school.

    -Thanks in advance.

He may have a problem, as indicated in the specifications is has the Intel UMA video that would be the worst choice of graphics of today, you can get to the game.

When you use a laptop for games, you always want to get a discrete graphics solution that uses its own memory first before using system memory.

You just have to try and see what happens.

Can I upgrade the video card on HP TOUCHSMART IQ525?  At the moment it has a Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family graphics on it.

Ah, thanks for the correction.  But the answer, unfortunately, is still probably no. However, you can check yourself by visiting the HP web site, go to the support section and drivers, then let it detect your computer.  Which will lead you to a specific page to your PC exact and will have manuals and other technical specifications for you.

  • can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

also, can I upgrade the video card to a modern video card?

    Neptune49, welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can add a new network adapter.  Here's a map Newegg.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  There are many others available on the site.

As for the video card, you can improve it, but you should make sure that you are buying an older model that does not require a UEFI BIOS.  It would be an EVGA GT 640 or an earlier version, for example.  It may require a power supply (PSU) upgrade, too.

  • Pavilion slimline s5310y: can I upgrade the grapics card in slimline s5310y? GPU NVIDIA 6150 not windows 10 in line.

can I replace with another gpu card compatible wW10?  If Yes, what make & model to recommend?

    You'll be glad you asked!

The 5310y is WIN 7 based and as such is BIOS 7.  It supports only a total of two 2GB memory modules. (In case you ask later). The meagre 220W PSU likely will have to be replaced. Now to the question.

Any future graphics card should not be UEFI and the previous generation.   But again once there is a problem, your system is a slimline.   It requires a LOW - Profile graphics card.  Read here for an overview.  The links suggest maps adapted with a new power supply.  It's what yourexisting 220W THAT PSU looks like , it is not a standard form, it's a TFX.
