Can I use a digital voice recorder with windows speech recognition

I want to use a digital voice recorder to transcribe in Windows Vista or windows 7 speech recognition. So far, I only got responses like 'Use Dragon'. I don't want to use Dragon! I want to use my trained and perfectly good windows Vista or Windows 7 built into the software. Please, anyone, just a direct response. I will buy from any digital voice recorder can transcribe Windows.  I am well aware that I can use dragon so please don't keep advise me. I travel a lot and do not always have access to a pc equipped with dragon or tablets. But I still have windows vista or windows 7 built in. Would be very happy a good answer (and any settings if necessary >) thanks guys.

Hello

I suggest you check with the Windows Compatibility Center, to check what digital voice recorder is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista, since the following links and you can use these digital voice recorders.

The issue here is not one of which version of Windows you are using.
It is one of what you have installed applications.

The answer is Yes, if you have WordPerfect (or some compatible)
program) installed on Windows Vista. The answer is no, if you do not.

  • Can I use PCI-MIO-16-4 with windows 7

I'm still on windows XP, but will be upgrading to windows 7. Can I still use PCI-MIO-16-4.

I guess not.  I don't see where he works with DAQmx and the NOR-DAQ (now called traditional DAQ) is not compatible with Windows 7.

  • Please tell me how to get this blue screen error and "pop - up to warning off my screen". I can't use my laptop HP Pavillion with Windows 7 yet.

Apparently, I have a virus. The episode began with an announcement of repair that kept popping up when I arrived at my first website through google Crome. This is the address "... peep...» "something. He said that I had to call a tech to 844-332-2558 microsoft and they would help me to solve the problem. So I did and discovered that it would cost me money. Now I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I fell for the free 'update' thing to Windows 10. I hated this upgrade, couldn't use it and could not know even where to go to understand. Then, after much hassle and I mean DAYS going from one place to another to return to windows 7, I downloaded the "Magic jellybean" sahow me how to find the "product key" to go back to 7. You see, in 2013 or 2014, that I went to Missouri to help a friend who could undergo surgery. I bought this laptop in a pawn shop (Tiger pawn in Columbia, Missouri). It did not come with an installation cd. I already have t PROVIDED with Windows 7 on the laptop. When I tried to go back to Windows 7 from windows 10, and received the product of the drive key, well, when I entered on the screen provided, he says that the key is incorrect. I went cross-eyed trying to verify the accuracy of what I entered a second time. I called Microsoft who directed me to HP. HP said that this loaptop was conducted in Iran, according to me, he said. In any case, they said they couldn't help. Long story short, I finally was able to restore a setting the date early and returned to 7. BUT, since I get a msg saying that I didn't have a "true copy" of Windows 7. This msg is permanently on my rt, lower corner of the plate. Now I have this error screen and use my lap top. It's the whole story!

Are you running the 64-bit or 32-bit operating system?

If you use the 64-bit operating system, you can try to download and install the drivers from this link and check that it works.

    =====================================
1.46 MB isn't a very large file... I think the Comcast
limit is something like 10 MB. The problem may be with the file
format... try to rename or compress the file and see it done
    a difference.

Example... If the name of the file has been voice.exe replace voice.jpg
and to inform your recipient to change back before playing.

Another alternative would be to download the file on the following
the site and send the download link to your recipient:

  • Olympus digital voice recorder vn-960pc

    Hi Randy,

I understand your frustration and probably don't want to try more.

However, there is a common problem when the installation does not correctly it is mess up your registry database. And then ANY attempt to install again will NEVER, work until clean you the registry.

You can often get things working again properly by cleaning up your registry database.

CCleaner works very well. I used it for 6 years now.

IF you want to try it than that:

    1 Downloand and install CCleaner

2 uninstall everything concerning installs it from Olympus, including the program and the driver.

IF you are INSTALLING left who would stop the cleaning of your registry.

Cleaning products will only clean old entries in registry if the program IS UNINSTALL

    3. then run CCleaner and just clean the Junk first, "Run Cleaner", BOTTOM right

4A. run CCleaner again and click on the REGISTER icon on the left, then

    4. click on "Scan for Issues", key in the Middle at the bottom.

It will scan and find the 95% of all errors in your registry. After scanning it will give you the option of

ch. 4 "Fix selected" from default is select all the errors that it found, click the "from selected FIX", next, it gives you the possibility of

4 d. "The changes on the registry backup" before them. GO AHEAD and make a BACKUP

In this way, IF this ruin anything you can restore everything that CCleaner deleted.

In six years, that he NEVER made me a problem, however, there is no guarantee that it will not! The registry can be very tricky.  I worked on as well as with the registry for 12 years now (Xp, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8)...

    Ron

    Ron,

Thanks for your comments. I have a question regarding the cleaning of registry software - fees for the software are there? I'm a bit wary of spending more money (or time) on this project with no guarantee of success. As I said, I'm at the point where I think I just need to buy a recorder with Windows 7 compatible software and 8.

    Kind regards

    Rudy

  • Can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?

I'm upgrading from a Dell XP machine on a computer Dell Windows 8.  My old Palm Z22 driver installation CD will work to load the software into my new Windows 8 machine; or do I need to download a new software specifically for Windows 8?

After losing almost three frustrating weekends, I finally got my Z22 to synchronize with Windows 8.  You never answered my first question [can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?], that would have eliminated a lot of uncertainty in my many attempts to synchronize with the download of version 6.2 has recommended you.  Fortunately, I wasn't the original CD with version 4.2, because 6.2 has toured with a bit more clear instructions and a new download of http://www.palmdr.com/windows-7-64-bit-usb-drivers

Thanks for your advice in any case.
