    Thank you very much!

What brand is the PC?  Most system builders put the key on the side of the Machine.  If it's a laptop, it should be on the bottom of the laptop.

It is all the information that we will be able to give you.  If you are unable to find the key, then you will need to purchase a new license.

I tried to go to windows update but redirected to micrsoft support page, which offers no SP2 and SP3 for windows XP Pro, and yet I don't have a network of computers running windows XP Pro download the SPs would be a disater as it is intended for more than one PC.

It does not give the notice to go to the windows update page, but I can't get there because I do not have windows XP SP 3 installed on my pc, and even if I have it on a disc I couldn't install it anyway because SP 2 is not installed on this pc.

  • How can I watch a movie DVD on my Satellite A200-1HE with Windows XP Home edition?

    Hello

I bought a laptop Satellite A200-1HE and have uninstalled Windows Vista. Now I have installed my own purchased copy of Windows XP and downloaded the drivers from the Toshiba web site. But now I want to use the computer to watch DVD or write CD disks, for example, and I can't find the software that came with the laptop (Intervideo, creator of disc, etc.).

Do I have rights for this software? How do I download and install for FREE, because I just don't want Vista, I want to use XP?
    Thank you

This additional software was shipped only with the image of Toshiba and cannot be downloaded for free! You must understand that there are different copyright restrictions and original Toshiba software (drivers & Utilities) can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.

The other (5 PCs) Access database files (Visual FoxPro) using (X & Y) mapped network drive
I have no problem connecting until the last one (FP5)

    What & why is it?
Is a design limitation of Windows XP HOME edition which can only inter connect up to 5 PCs at the same time?
Please advise, what is happening here?
    Thanks in advance

Windows XP Home Edition allows a maximum of 5 simultaneous incoming connections.  XP Pro allowed 10.

The following note is from the Article KB 314882:

Note For Windows XP Professional, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is ten. This limit includes all transport and combined resources sharing protocols. For Windows XP Home Edition, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is five. This limit is the number of sessions simultaneously on other computers, that the system is permitted to accommodate. This limit does not apply to the use of administrative tools that attach from a remote computer.

    Hello

Specification of the reading for this Satellite specifications and I really wonder you want to install the operating system Windows XP Home edition on it. First of all this laptop is about 7 years old and I really do believe that the WXP can work well with this low hardware configuration.

Secondly, this phone is not supported for Windows XP Home edition and because of that Toshiba has never offered drivers for this good old classic. If you can't find a driver on the manufacturer directly, I'm afraid there is not much to do.

  • Strange! SanDisk Cruzer blade 16 GB

    Hello.

I buy a sandisk cruzer blade 16 GB a week ago. He had worked flawlessly for 2 days, but recently, I copied files of windows 7 64 bit and connect this player to a computer with windows xp. It shows usb not detected and has malfunctioned and blah blah.

I thought that there is a problem in this system, but I was shocked to see that now it is is even not detected by my pc either.

After so many tests, I tried to connect it with my keyboard usb port and it has been detected, but that the port is not 2.0 because windows ask me to connect it to a hi-speed 2.0 port.   I thought that the problem has been resolved and I format the USB and then plug it back to my pc. but same problem again and it shows device attached has malfunctioned. but when I connect with the usb port on the keyboard it works very well. However, the usb keyboard that I tied this USB is connected with my usb port on the computer.

Similarly, I connect this usb with some old marks of Dell systems model Gx optiplex 260 and it has been detected it too much and at the same time not detected by any other pc that stood out...

Why is this usb detected now only by the usb ports on my keyboard and not by my pc as it was earlier detected by my pc.

I tried several solution but nothing works even with kaspersky scanner last definition.

Is there a solution to this problem. I want to connect this usb to my pc 2.0 ports.

I have intel DH55TC Board with Intel I3 processor of first generation.

    First of all thank you.

In fact, the usb is defective and I had replaced.

and Ed if it is the question of power, then how can it be connected to the usb port on my keyboard that eventually connected to the same usb port of the usb to my pc and alternated readers like Kingston and Sony are working well in this port.

Any ways thanks to you guys for the suggestion.

  • I use Windows XP Home Edition. It takes awhile to start when I turn on the computer. How can I speed up this process?

I use windows XP Home Edition. It takes awhile to start when I turn on the computer. How can I speed up this process?

    original title: slow start
    • Faster processor.
    • Fastest hard drive.
    • Faster or more RAM/memory.
    • Less things loading at startup.
    • Appropriate and the most recent hardware device drivers.

In XP, you can cleanup and optimize it in some way, by using the following tips:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

If you are comfortable with the stability of your system, you can delete the uninstall of patches which has installed Windows XP...

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

    CCleaner (free!)

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are up-to-date and should work fine - there is another thing you pouvez wish to make:

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

Lol when you upgrade you send upwards with a license, not two. The license of Vista is subsumed in Windows 7 one and can no longer be used. This is the reason for which an upgrade is cheaper than licensed full.
