can I use an older version of Wordpad on Windows 7?

New Wordpad? I didn't have a Word!

Is there anyway that I can get a Wordpad program before seven? I don't like the new update to MSWordpad. I liked Wordpad, because it was so simple. On my laptop, which came with seven standard, it takes me a minute or two longer than expected to customize my workspace. I can't simply click the font, type the name of the font I want, the waist tab, and type a number for the size.
I have not asked for Word. The update of paint I can handle it, but I'm not that fond. I was even upset when Vista will not let me cutsomize my desktop computer for the classic pattern of 98 like XP did.

I really want my old Wordpad in return.

Can someone help me?

Hello

I don't think you can install the Wordpad program. I know that "Ribbon" can be confusing to users who open the new Wordpad.

If you use the same format typical for most of your Wordpad files, you can create a basic model to use.

Open Wordpad and type a single character. Highlight the character and then set all fonts, spacing of size and other parameters that you normally use. Save the file as my model of Wordpad and place it in a convenient place.

Instead of directly open Wordpad, you simply open the template, and you're ready to start typing.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7
