Any help?

Respond here or I prefer, to: [email protected]

Hello

Hmm the two laptops are a little different if I m not 100% sure that the motherboard would be compatible with the laptop s upper and lower cover.

NB205 Dimensions: 7.6 x 10.4 x 1.3 inches; 2.9 kilos
NB255 Dimensions: 8.3 x 10.4 x 1.3 inches; 2.8 pounds

I recommend you to choose the motherboard which is designed for the same model of laptop.

    Hi nobbler1,

Don t compare laptops equipped with desktop computers! Computer laptop parts are specific parts for a notebook series only and so that you can t take a motherboard of another model of laptop like A Satellite or Qosmio. They are different and will not fit.

I put t know why you need a new mainboard but contact service provider authorized in your country. There you can get a new mainboard.

In addition, you are right. It's not easy to swap the motherboard. It is delicate and you should remove many screws and parts.

I did some quick research and 511864-001 card will work in your model. I've included a link to the manuals page, there are a bit different, but if you check the maintenance and Service of Guide, it will show you how to remove all the components. The system board or motherboard is on page 101.

What CPU can be used in a card mother 396696-001? I had this defective card, I bought to replace and used the original processor in the new Board of Directors. Installed in a laptop computer and sold it. later returned to the defective Board and said she had a shorted rectifier. Intend to repair it and have another laptop that needs it, but I need to know what CPU I can install in it.

    Hello

396696 001 is 'card MOTHER COMPLETE HP PAVILION DV4000 INTEL 915GML' based on the following book:

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c00481822.PDF

    It supports:

    Intel Pentium M 2.00 - 1.73-, -1.60, or processor 1.50 GHz or Intel Celeron M 1.50-, -1.40, 1.30 GHz processors.

It can support the family, but you need the BIOS just for her.

    I have a Toshiba P300 1EU, and yesterday, I can't use my keyboard.
When I click on "Num Lock" I see on the screen the same if I press 'FN '.
I already do a system restore but it is fail :/

    I don't know what I can do,

Thank you to answer me :)

    Hi mate

Just a question; the motherboard has been replaced?

I read that numypad may not work once the motherboard has been replaced.
This can happen due to missing or incorrect settings in the DMI.

AFAIK the DMI one only updated by ASP, so in this case the ASP technician should be contacted.

  • Re: Satellite X 200-can I use the 800 mhz memory modules?

    Hello.

    I have a X 200 with 2024 MB of ram.
I want to spend to 4048 MB ram.

Is it possible to buy memory ddr2 667 or 800 mhz can I use?
I think that my motherboard is as follows:
    Intel PM965 Express chipset.

If its so I can only use ddr2 667 mhz, can I then use any mark at all, or is it special that toshiba recommends?

You should be able to use the 800 Mhz modules, because the FSB supports 800 Mhz also.

    TKS for all advice.

    Hello

have you tried to contact the ASP (SAV) in your country? They can be struck, but the motherboard is a pretty expensive portable component (about 40% of the total cost of laptop).
And it is better to buy a new laptop, as tomorrow, you could have a display problem...

  • Satellite A200-1ZB: what CPU max can I use?

    Hello..

    I have Toshiba Satellite A200-1ZB model with processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2370 @ 1.73.
I was wondering, what processor max speed is supported by this model? Anyone know? (without overheating of course ;)

    Specs. (HWiNFO32)
    Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2370 @ 1.73, FSB:533 MHz, L2: 1 MB
    CPU platform: Socket P Μpga478 (Micro-FC-PGA) / mBGA479 (Micro-BGA)
    Motherboard Chipset: Intel GM965 (Crestline-GM) + ICH8M
    Support FSB frequency: 800 MHz
    Memory: 2 x 1024 Samsung 667 MHz (PC5300)

Upgrading CPU is always risky, and in my opinion, no one can tell if the laptop would have functions properly after these updates.
    Another problem may occur.
First the BIOS of laptop computers could not handle the new processor or there may be a compatibility problem should be know that a CPU creates stronger more heat dissipation that could lead to overheating or unstable work.
Last but note would less affect these updates and void your warranty!

But if you want to know what CPU can be used and then check the properties of the chipset on the Intel page and you should find the information on compatible CPU s

  • What card PCI adapter USB can I use on my Satellite C

    Hello

My USB port of remaining work has now passed away, and I'm stuck because I can't print longer (especially children can not print their homework!) I discovered recently the understanding that I can get either the replaced motherboard (expensive so not an option!) or get a * card with USB ports * on what goes into the card reader at the front of the laptop?

No one knows exactly what I buy as all this seems quite complicated for me!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Kerry.

    Hi Kerry

Can you tell us more about your Toshiba laptop?
    What model do you have?
Have you tested the functionality of all USB ports?
    How old is your laptop?
I want to say if the warranty is still valid contact the nearest Toshiba service and ask for help?

You have a new printer with WLAN indoors. If so, you can print using the WLAN connection.

  • Can I use second HDD on my Satellite P300-PSPCCE?

    Hi all

I have a German P300-PSPCCE bought a few months ago. I noticed that the laptop has two bays for 2.5 "sata DISKS, which one is already ocupied by the drive by default, and the other has some ankles plastic on the portable drive door, which makes impossible to another harddrive on the Bay.

The question is: if I remove the pins plastic of the door drive and put another HARD disk, with appropriate fixing stuff, the laptop can handle? (power, motherboard compatibility and so on...)

    The second is:

Recently, I had an old P200 mother due to a bad Connection USB with an experimental device that I developed burn.
Now it s hard to find this old P200 motherboard.
I m planning to buy a motherboard of the P300-PSPCCE mine, but I Don t know where to find such a thing, so I m asking if anyone knows where I can find it, please can U show me the way?

    Thanks for any answers

    Daniel.

    Hello Daniel

My brother has Satellite P300 and we found the same situation.
Most important is if your laptop has connector to the second HARD drive. If so, you can connect but it needs the HARD drive cover.
My brother has deleted these rods plastic carefully and everything is OK now. It uses 250 GB SATA HDD.

Old motherboard, you can try to get a Toshiba authorized service provider in your country.
Another way Google a little bit and see if you can find some online store where you can order one.
Another option is to check eBay.
Maybe you can find some old P200 with broken screen, but with good working motherboard.

What is your advice? Can I replace the motherboard? Is it a long way? Or is it better to find another laptop?

According to my notes, 63y1545 is a T510 Board with integrated graphics (Intel). The other 2 boards are W510 boards. They are all the same size and shape, but W510 boards have 4 memory slots and use a different cooling fan. The W510 is a nice machine and worth it if you can get a good price on a Board and fan of fixing. Basic coverage is also different machines 'W', but I don't know if it's important or one you have now.

  • Can I use the SATA port connected to an optical drive to plug in a hard drive?

I have a Pavilion e9270t desktop, Win7 Pro SP1, and I want to connect 3 HARD drive to the motherboard. Can I do this? Can I use the SATA port connected to an optical drive to plug in a hard drive?

    Thanks, CHemming

    CHemming,

I've not seen UEIF support in the existing BIOS.

If your demand on a 3T led, re - consider a maximum of 2 T.

If you ask to have 3 hard disks, then you can do it without harassing the present cable of CD.

The cage of your system hard disk will support 3 hard disks. Manual upgrade service

All you need are the SATA data and power cables. Your Board has 4 SATA data ports.

When you report back after inspecting your system for SATA power cables, I will move the cables and adapters, if necessary.

  • Envy Touchsmart K204TX: Envy K203TX recovery disks can be used to retrieve a K204TX feel like?

Hi, the first thing I did when I got my Envy cell phone, K203TX, was to create a set of recovery disks.

Then I discovered that the laptop has several questions.

HP sent me a technician on-site, and technology, said these problems were caused by a material defective number (display board, motherboard and the case has a defective battery lock). It helped me to return the laptop as DOA.

The problem is, HP store couldn't make me K203TX one another, I paid like $150 and upgraded to a fancy K204 TX.

I have now the 204TX and this laptop has no problem at all, it's as good as it can get.

My drive recovery K203TX of envy is always with me.

Question > can I use these discs to recover my K204TX disaster? Or I'll throw these drives and create a new set of recovery disc for this computer?

    Hello

    You should find the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02659236.PDF

Then locate the major components, description and computer see the reference number of the Law Commission. You have a laptop with a built-in onboard vga (UMA), then the reference is 595135-001.

However, you could actually move the laptop to a dedicated vga ATI Radeon HD 6550.

For use on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with dedicated memory and chipset HD 6550:

631082-001. This requires a new heatsink:

For use on computer models equipped with graphics subsystems with discrete memory 606575-001.

This means that if you buy a different Board and a heat sink, you might have a better graphics card.

Use ebay or google to find the best prices...
