Can I use on another identical laptop recovery partition?

I can't access or find the partition recovery on a laptop but another I have almost the same, there just a disc extra, a little faster and more memory for the video card. Is it possible to copy the partition recovery starting to restore the other and when the Vista key product changes that came with the machine that I restore?

Microsoft said that the key is still valid, but there may be some problems with drivers or other problems later and that I might get a Toshiba Recovery disk. The reason why they gave was that it must be returned to the factory. What do they mean, is it delete partitions, format the drive? All this will be done by the restore process so I don't see how that will stop it but maybe the will of BCD. In any case, what do mean by 'presets '?

At first, I must say that the original image recovery is designed specific software separately for each laptop model. With other words, you cannot use the image of the recovery on two machines with different hardware platform. Pilots are not the same.

Second important thing is that you may be able to copy certain image on a machine, but you will not be able to have access to it and you will not be able to start the recovery image installation.

N my option best opinion for you is to get the original recovery for your machine installation disc and you'll be sure that installation works and you'll have the right image is installed.

Original installation disc of recovery can be ordered on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Can I use my Windows 7 Edition recovery disks Home Premium for a clean install on my old Windows XP computer?

Hello world!  I hope someone can help.

Can I use my Windows 7 Edition recovery disks Home Premium for a clean install on my old Windows XP computer?

If this is a recovery from a different computer disk, you are unable to do so.

In addition, if you were to format the computer, you will need to have a way to reinstall a copy of Windows with a genuine license.

The best option if you need Windows 7 Home Premium is to buy a genuine license then you can make a custom (new installation).

    Hello david,.

That is right. Cloud software can be installed on Mac or Windows for no extra cost. No platform swap process is necessary.

On the Mac log you just to creative.adobe.com with your Adobe ID and download the software. Same thing as you did on the PC.

  • Using identical laptop recovery for mine reformatting disks

I'll try and keep this base. I bought a L855-149, but shortly after, he started getting blue screens. I rang Toshiba, who told me to do the recovery discs in case they had to send me a new hard drive, so I made these discs. However, at the end of the day, the shop I bought the laptop just replaced the computer with a new model even a - and probably the same strain that all this has happened in a few weeks.

Replacement laptop has worked without any problems at all, but a few days ago he has been infected with malicious software, a browser redirection virus which I set and a few other similar files apparent that I seems especially clearing around through several different malware scanners and running antivirus scans. All works well, but I'm uncomfortable and knows that there is always some associated files dragged somewhere that I didn't, so I want to just reformat the entire system, so I can be so certain that it is possible that my info is safe.

My problem is I very stupidly forgot to make the new recovery disc for the new laptop when I got it. So I can use the original L855-149 recovery disks, and if I can, what makes the blue screens on this transfer through my current Satellite disks could?

Or would I be better to simply make my current Satellite recovery disks and hope that the malware has not disappeared near the recovery partition?

Also, am I correct that reformatting does not void your warranty?

    Thanks in advance.

    > Or would I be better to simply make my current Satellite recovery disks and hope that the malware has not disappeared near the recovery partition?
Something like this will not happen. Create recovery disks or install the recovery image using disk HARD recovery option. more info on what you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm or in manuals s user document.

    > Also, am I correct that reformatting does not void your warranty?
Yes, you are. You can install recovery so often desired image.

  • My recovery disk can be used on another computer

    Greetings: Johnny Landmark.

You cannot use an Asus recovery disc and product key to fix the Acer computer.

Your license of Vista Asus is linked to YOUR computer.

    It won't work on his.

It won't pass activation and probably will not yet be installed...

    https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

Bring it to contact Acer at the above link and buy a set of Acer recovery disks.

They normally sell them for a cost of $ small.

Or, follow my advice in my 1st answer and try and borrow a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

    See you soon.

  • A restore XP CD can be used on another model?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 with Vista computer. I'm tired of Vista and XP instead.

So here's my question: a friend of my having a restore XP to its L300 CD (I think), can use this on my A300?
    The two bought last year.

    Thanks :)

You must understand that this recovery image is not something that can be used on all portable models. Recovery image is created for each laptop model separately.

Recovery image contains OS, all the necessary drivers for certain model of laptop, Toshiba specific tools and utilities and some additional software. For Satellite L300 recovery image contains drivers for hardware components in the Satellite L300 laptop.

I imagine that your Satellite A300 a different hardware platform and probably the pilots must be different on Satellite L300.

  • HP Envy X 2: laptop recovery partition (D) merged with another partition, not be able to create a recovery media

I have merged my restore partition HP with another partition I created. Data recovery files are still intact in the New Partition. I have not created a recovery media. When I tried to create the USB Flash Drive recovery using recovery HP Manager media, I get the message that "recovery partition does not exist. How to get again the merged recovery partition and create a recovery USB Flash drive. If simply copy data from recovering files to a USB flash drive will work as a Bootable media in the case that need if in the future.

@joy1964: should not have done that.  Messing around with the OEM partition somehow good enough recovery ensures it won't work not later, when you need it.

Personally, I don't trust recovery integrated systems in any case.  You want to be able to recover from an image stored on a disk system large capacity Flash DRIVE or external.  In this way, if the disk fails, I can restore a functional system within minutes.

Consider using a third-party product known as Macrium Reflect this.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

AND... you no longer have the recovery partition at all and can reuse that space for something else.

  • Team a full license can be used by another user, when the user does not use them?

We currently have 2 cs5.5 master collection or allowed to 2c5.5 standard design.

2 licenses of master collection are used full-time by 2 designers, but the design 2 licenses standards are shared between 4 users who only needs to access the software from time to time and us enable or disable on their computer as needed. Can do us the same thing with CC for teams and have installed more than users but activate it as a user has a need and then a week later, disable and let another user can access?

Rafrafi: Hello. Welcome to the assistance of Adobe.

Rafrafi: I received your request. Allow me a moment to check your account and review the details of your request.

    Ted Newman: ok thanks

Rafrafi: With each license for creative cloud you can activate the product on 2 different machines but can use only one instance at a time.

Rafrafi: Means that you cannot use these 2 machine together.

Ted Newman: We want to purchase 8 licenses complete team, install all 8 on 20 computers and our peak load can be used at the same time, most of the time just 3 or 4 is used, but they will be spread across 20 machines from day to day, not always the same machine, is it possible? Do you understand what I mean. If a maxium of 8 but a dynamic distributed in 20 users who soak in one off but never more than 8 at the same time?

Rafrafi: With creative cloud you invite users in the team.

Rafrafi: With 8 licenses, you can invite 8 users.

Rafrafi: It works 1 license per user.

Rafrafi: So if you have 2 different users, using the same machine with a different user name to connect to the computer, it will not work.

Ted Newman: up to 20 users needs 20 licenses of team?

    Rafrafi: Yes.

Ted Newman: 8 even if only access at the same time

Rafrafi: For a better understanding, you can contact our team of sales at 800-585-0774.

Rafrafi: Yes. Because if you have 8 licenses you can activate it on 16 machines.

Rafrafi: But can only use only 8 machine at any given time.

Rafrafi: So you can activate creative cloud on 2 machines, but can only use 1 instance at a time.

Ted Newman: ok purchase 8 licenses and install on 16 machines and use only 8 at the time. Have we not use the administration console to add and remove occasional users whenever they need to access? or is - this a withdraw permanent for users who leaves the company?

Rafrafi: Yes you can remove users from the administration console and add them to the time where you need to add.

Rafrafi: whenever you add them back they must accept the invitation.

Ted Newman: ok great, thanks a lot

    Rafrafi: You're welcome.

Rafrafi: Is there anything else that you need help?

    Ted Newman: No thanks

Rafrafi: Should I close this case solved?

    Ted Newman: Yes please

  • How to remove a bad installation of my laptop recovery Partition Win7

I messed up by trying a "clean install" Win7 (on top of my Acer Vista laptop existing) by installation first on the laptop Acer recovery Partition and then try to correct the mistake by another facility on a data partition (in the hope that the installer would be smart enough to remove the previous installation - it was not!).  I was perplexed because under Vista, installing Windows has always been on C:, and the Acer recovery Partition was on D:.  When Win7 installer prompted me which drive to install on the first time, it offered me Acer C: and D: data, I place the reversal, so I just opted for C: and then found he had installed next to the Acer software, so somehow, disk partitions appear to have been involved.

The net result is now I have two installations of Win7 and a dual boot black screen that gives me the choice to start at startup.

Is there a way I can uninstall Win7 since the Recovery of Acer partition (preferably keeping the Acer software stored there, as I want to reinstall some of them later)?

I burn the software Acer on a DVD, and then format the recovery partition.  You will have to boot from the Windows 7 DVD to format the partition, Windows can sometimes be a bit psychotic, but this isn't sucidal.  You are unable to format a partition with an operating system installed on it.  When you burned the DVD with the Acer software, start from the Win7 DVD, choose custom installation and once the two partitions are visible, choose delete the recovery partition, and then re-create.  Once done and back in Win7, you can then copy the back Acer DVD software.

You will also need to change the boot loader, right-click on my computer, choose Properties.  On the next screen, select advanced system settings, and then click the Advanced tab and startup and recovery.  Remove the o/s is no longer needed.

  • Can't believe that I deleted my Recovery Partition! What now?

It would be much worse than it looks. A few months back, I did a recovery Flash drive. But why they allow to easily delete you this partition without warnings screen?  I just thought that I had clicked on the right drive to erase a CD, and that is the recovery partition. So he deleted it!  Too easy... not just! There should be some guests to warn you.

So I'm trying to get back or I'm good with the recovery of the USB key. I really want both.

    Thanks Jack:-------"

    Hello

As long as you created the recovery Flash drive, so you need not really of the recovery partition, but if you don't want to again, the only way is to perform a 'factory Reset' using your Flash drive - this will reinstall the operating system, but also to recreate all of the original scores, including recovery D.
