Can I use two hard drives in the Qosmio G40-10th

Anyone know if it is possible to install two hard drives in this laptop. I read simewhere that it had to be two slots hard drive in it?
If so where is it located?
Ther would be all issues around extra heat that could be generated etc.?

I have had mine for about 5/6 months and have had a screen replaced (defective backlight).
Many other people have had problems?

I wonder if its worth buy the extended warranty.

See you soon.
Sunil

Hello

As far as I know this laptop takes support only a single HARD disk.
Check the underside of the laptop. Do you see a second slot (cover) the second HDD?
I imagine that it has a single HARD drive Bay, and so only a single HARD disk can be used.

I m not a G40 owner and, therefore, I cannot comment on any other issue.
But each computer technology may start to malfunction it is why I always recommend buying an extended warranty.

Best regards

  • Can I use 2 hard drives on the Satellite A200-1YX

Hello, who knows if it can work 2 hard drives on the A200 1YX.
In the manual is written there are 2 locations for hard drives, but it says that for some models of Satellite A200.

Can I use 2 HDD on Satellite A200-1YX?

As mentioned by user above, different Satellite A200 series are present on the market.
Some supports 2 hard drives and some as a single HARD drive.

But both series are equipped with a second Bay I recommend you simply remove the cover plastic that holds the second HARD drive Bay and check if the HARD drive connectors are available.

  • Can I install second HARD drive in the Satellite A200-AH7

I wonder if I can install the second hard drive in my laptop and if I can do this what equipment should I.

Laptop computer has two covers of hard disk and manual is not clear on this subject.
    He said: some models.

    Thanks for the info

You can't find the answer very easily.

Remove the second HDD Bay cover and check if there are a few HARD drive connectors/pins.

If Yes, then you could install a second HDD.
If not, you can not use second HARD drive.

  • Satellite P200-1 - can I use 2nd HARD drive?

    Hello

I am always working on my Satellite P200-1 and now, my HDD1 is full.

I see that there is a location for a second HDD. But I can't find the plug!

Therefore, it is possible to connect a second HDD on my satellite P200-1BY? Because I bought a new HARD drive and I can't plug it, I only have 7 days to return the HARD drive to the store.

    Thanks for your replies!

    Hello

If the connector to the second HARD drive is not available there is no way to use two internal hard drives.
This HARD back and buy HDD external, placed in the HARD disk box. This HARD drive you can connect using the USB cable and it is the best solution for you.

I guess that HARD disk internal, you have lots of data that you don't need every day and you can save it to external HARD drive. So you can do free space on the internal HARD disk.

    I do the same.

  • Can I use my hard drive as slave on my laptop?

My Dell Dimension 9100 does not work and I would try to run the hard drive as slave on my PC toshiba laptop. Is it possible or it would have to do on another office?

    Thank you
    Danny

    Hey Danny,

    ·         What exactly is the problem you are having with the Dell computer?

Most laptops will not accept that the two internal hard drives.

You will need to check with the manufacturer of laptop for more information on the connection of two hard drives to your particular model.

You can also use a USB hard drive which you can then use to retrieve the data on your hard drive to the laptop via the USB port.

  • Create new virtual machine of the model that have two hard drives in the different data store

We do VM deploy automation with PowerCLI.

There is already a model created with at least two hard drives to one side and each hard drive belong to difference datastore,

In the model's operating system is Windows server 2008 R2 already installed VMware Tools and other software in the second (other than C: driver) driver

We can successfully deploy a new virtual machine with this manually with vSphere client model.

But when we try to make the deployment with PowerCLI, can not find examples of similar scripts in the document of reference,

and we also google this question, still no similar question was found.

Is this possible with PowerCLI? If it's possible could you give me some advice or an example of script, thank you!

    Best regards.

    I already found the solution.

With the vSphere SDK .NET API, we can create the new virtual machine to the model

Mainly used API listed below, sorry because I can not give the source code here.

    • VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineCloneSpec
    • VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineRelocateSpec
    • VMware.Vim.ManagedObjectReference
    • VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineRelocateSpecDiskLocator
    • VMware.Vim.ManagedObjectReference
    • CloneVM_Task

  • Can't access 2nd HARD drive on the Pavilion p6220nl?

I had installed a second HDD SATA in my Pavilion p6220nl desktop computer by unplugging the DVD/CD player with its SATA data and power cables.  He succeeded and I was using my regular hard drive so my new drive to HARD drive for several weeks.

Once my new SATA cable arrived, I tried to reinstall my DVD/CD player that I had also only 2 SATA power connectors.  Instead I tried to use very low power for the new HARD drive connector.  Result, I can not access my new HARD drive.  I tried back (i.e. unplugged my DVD/CD drive again and using this SATA power connector instead) and it still won't go.

I updated my BIOS and tried everything I can think of, but without success.  If anyone can help?  Is there indeed a Molex Pin 4--> adapter SATA connector?  Could I have ruined my new HARD drive with the two small connector and power cables attached SATA power connector?  Is there a specific SATA ports they need to go in.

    Currently the situation is now:

SATA Slot 0 - drive DVD/CD (data cable connected only)

1 - usual HD SATA connector

SATA connector 2 - new HARD drive

    Slot SATA 3 - empty

    Appreciate any advice or assistance.

    Thank you

    Stephen

As you said, you had it working. Then attached a unknown thread on the disc. Now, reconnect to a wiring known, that worked. Don't know, don't worry. The car was damaged. Sorry!

  • Satellite P300-135 system issues using two HARD drives

About a month ago I bought a faster hard drive for my laptop (because it wasn't hard drive 5400 RPM by default), and computer technicians to the store where I bought my laptop has recommended a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 250410.

The first couple of days everything went smooth, but after that, every second, restart my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) reports of problems with my video card, sometimes 'Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37) ", the other time"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. " (Code 43) ", and when this error occurs, the keyboard and the keyboard do not work too.
I made a simple and primitive diagnosis by deleting the second hard drive and rebooted 5 or 6 times, and everything went very well.

So I think the problem is that the laptop has not enough power for two hard disks. Is it true, or is my phone begins to fail?

Sorry for my mistakes of language, but English is my second language.

    Hello

Usually the second HDD should not affect the performance of the system, but it of impossible
So maybe you should test the specifications and performance of OS using another HARD drive maybe a HARD disk that takes in charge of 5400 RPM

  • Tecra M10 - 17U use second HARD drive in the Bay of ODD

    Hello

I try one of this popular box that allows me to put a second hard drive in the Bay optical slot, I use a Sata to Sata adapter, so there is not really an adapter and more properly connect:

    [http://www.akasa.co.uk/update.php?tpl=product/product.detail.tpl&no=181&type=Enclosures&type_sub = 2.5%20Enclosure&model=AK-OA2SSA-BK]

My problem is with the BIOS Toshiba waiting for a STRANGE device in this Sata port and cams out with a "CD" error, disable the Sata port.

I have a workaround, if I start the PC, BIOS after with what this either in the Bay of the STRANGE, after Windows starts, I have insert the second HARD drive in the Bay of ODD, go to "Windows Device Manager" a 'check for changes on the hardware"and voila, the second HDD works fine , for me, it shows a limitation in the BIOS.

Y at - it assistance, a Beta BIOS or something else, I have the latest BIOS 3.00 for this machine installed.

    Please check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=39412

It seems that Tecra M10 does not support a select bay that would allow you to use a 2nd HDD rather than the ODD.
    As far as I know select bay is compatible with the Tecra M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, S1, S2

  • Can I add a hard drive on the U840T-108 Satellite?

    Hello
I bought a Toshiba Satellite U840T-108 and I had not noticed that there was a 128 GB SSD drive. I would like to add 1 to or 500 GB Sata hard drive.
Is this possible? T Y is the room in the computer?
    Thank you
PS: I'm French so excuse me if I speak little English.

I can see in paper manuals s user that your machine is not the cover of HARD drive on the lower side, so for an upgrade low cover has to be removed and it must be done by the only authorized service.
If you try to do this alone you will lose warranty valid.

In my opinion, you have to call the nearest provider of Toshiba in your country, explain the situation and ask for advice. Guaranteed valid is very important to not do something on your own.

Either way, I think your machine has connector disk HARD vacuum placed near the ventilation of cooling. I m not 100% sure all of this, but you can check with the technicians.

  • Can I add a second hard drive on the Qosmio X 500-12 q?

    Hello
I would like to know if its possible to add a second hard drive to the X 500-12 q?
I suppose that space is available, but I would like to know whether the connector is here & all
I could just open the case and plug it in.

    Thank you

In the document s user manuals I have not found something on HD upgrade so I m really don't know if this will be possible.
Anyway, as Jeka wrote, remove the HARD drive cover and check if there is place for second HARD drive and also necessary SATA connector.

I have older 300 x and there is room for two drives.

  • You can plug an external hard drive to the iPad Pro?

can plug you an external hard drive to the iPad Pro, I store all my technical documents on one and what you need to know if there is a way to connect to the iPad

You can't plug an external hard drive on an iPad of any type.

There are external hard drives that can create their own wifi network

to which you can connect to your iPad. Your favorite search engine should

    provide more details.

  • You can a second Sata hard drive in the M series?

    Hello

Can I install a second hard drive in the M series?

In particular, I would like to install a Seagate Barracuda SATA 1 TB drive.

I know he has a Bay, but I can shelter the disc in another case.

    Thank you

I think it depends on the version of the m series that you have.

the series m72e (small footprint); There is only a single 3.5 "sata bay.

on the motherboard there are 3 sata headers (cd player / hard drive + 1 other).

the way I did it was to order a double silverstone 2.5-online adapter disk 3,5 '' screwed into the slot of the drive (be careful; not all Player cards have lower fastening screws).

This allowed me to put a ssd 2.5 "and a 2.5 hard drive" in the case.

otherwise, it would be pretty tight/impossible to squeeze in 2 size 3.5 "hard drives in the m72e
