Can NB100 - I install 4 GB of RAM?

I read there are 4 GB 200 pin memory modules available. Does anyone know if toshiba netbook supports?

I have a nb100, but don't worry to move a nb305 if this not support rather the nb100

Hello

It s depending on your chipset and BIOS if you can install 4 GB of RAM. Which chipset you have exactly? Therefore, you can check the specs on the Intel Web site.

But I agree with Al - eX. I Don t buy 4 GB modules because they are too expensive. If you buy RAM 2x2gb it would be less expensive and I doubt that you would need more than 4 GB of RAM. This is only necessary if you play new 3D games or make a lot with video editing and therefore another laptop would be a better choice. ;)

  • Can I install 4 GB of RAM in my Satellite A100-033?

I have a Satellite A100-033 (PSAANE-03J02GEN). The manual says that it will support only 2 GB of RAM. Does anyone know if it will support actually 4GB? I installed 2 x 1 GB instead of the supplied 2x512MB and am trying to install 2 x 1 GB? It will work, or is there a restriction in the motherboard or BIOS which means that most RAM is recognized? Can anyone help?

    Hello

If the manual says you can improve it only 2 GB of RAM, you can then use only 2 x 1 GB modules.
But if you insert 2 x 2 GB RAM modules then either your laptop does not start or it might start but all of the 4 GB would not be recognized.

Generally, there are Windows 32 bit OS (no matter if it s Vista or XP) would use and recognize only same 3.2 GB 4 GB RAM max would be inserted.

    And of course, there are a lot of restrictions on the RAM;
If the chipset and BIOS does not allow 4 GB of RAM, so you wouldn't be able to use it.

I have a faulty ram (top) slot for a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13 "i5.  Can I install a 8 GB Ram in the slot below or is maximally 4 GB?

This was after the 3 beep error and I couldn't restart the Mac with one of the 2 GB of Ram into the lower slot.

Is there a way to test if the top housing is faulty or just dirty?

    Thank you

Yes, the MBP will work with a single module of RAM installed, but there will be a slight performance decrease.  A MBP 2012 will accept a module of 8 GB RAM.

Is there a way to test if the top housing is faulty or just dirty?

Install each RAM module individually in each slot, leaving the other empty.  If the two RAM modules work in a slot and not the other, the slot is faulty.  Sometimes the adjustment screw can resuscitate the slot.  If this is not the case, make an appointment at an Apple store for a FREE evaluation.

    Ciao.

  • Satellite L300-145 - BSOD appears if I installed 4 GB of RAM

    Hi all

I have this Satellite L300-145 PSLB0E-03601LPT and I want to install 4 GB of RAM, but when I install 4GB on boot THEN BSOD appears.

I try to change with the other memorys brand with equal modules, I'm trying to install Windows 7 64 bit, Linux 9.10 64 bit and it the same things. I try too update the BIOS but it the same thing.

I think it's remapping feature memory on bios but does not have this option.
So what I have to do?

    My laptop has now 3GB
    CPU: T2390 1, 533 Mhz 86Ghz
    CHIPSET: GM965
    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 at 533 Mhz
    HDD:Hitachi 200 GB

    After upgrade
    CPU: T8300 2.4 GHz, 800 Mhz
    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz
    HARD drive: Seagate 7200.4 250GB

    I really need 4 GB

    Hi mate,

I m really confused now. As a first step, you wrote that you get BSOD if you upgrade to 4 GB, but the specifications after the upgrade are really different. You have a new CPU, RAM and HARD disk with another specification.

Anyway, at first I checked the specs on the Toshiba website for your laptop and this model can only be upgraded to 2 GB; not 4 GB!
This means that you can only use two modules of 1 GB in this notebook.

Sorry, but you will not be able to use 4 GB in this model of laptop.

  • HP 1000-1312tu had installed 6 GB of ram, but it shows only 929 usable

my laptop running windows 7 ultimate x 32 .intel (r) Pentium (r) @2. 40 GHz I have 6 GB of ram installed and usable only 929. I already tried many things and I can't do bugs... Please help me

    Hi @minxfiles ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

This is a good place to find answers and advice!

You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the HP Forums Learn how Post and more

I understand that you have 6 GB of ram and it is only readable 929 reading.

Just to be sure you're correct DDR3 ram installation?

Installing the chips of RAM, they must be of the type suitable and properly matched.  You can have 2 @2 for 4 GB of ram or 2@4 GB to 8 GB of ram. To have 6 GB of ram, you would need 1@6 GB to 6 GB of ram.

If you have added a 4 GB of ram with the original 2 is it came with, it is very likely what is causing the problem.

    Good luck!

Why the system writes: installed 4 GB of ram, but usable only 3.6 GB of ram?

3.6 GB is a very good number - much higher than most people's.

All versions of Windows 32-bit client (not just XP/Vista/7/8) have a
Address 4 GB of space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.

But you can't use the whole address space. Even if you have a
Address space of 4 GB, you can only use around 3. 1 GB of RAM (and as I
said, you do much better than that). This is because some of
This space is used by the hardware and is not available for the operation
system and applications. The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around
    3. 1 GB.

Note that the hardware is using the space, not the real address
The RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address to map space to.

  • How can I re - install firefox without losing my data. It is infested bame ad.

Firefox is infested with "ads name.

How can I get rid of it or how can I
Re-install firefox without losing any data?

There is a rash that goes around, and the solution is not yet clear 100%. I suggest try reinstalling this way:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it is not about the deletion of your settings, it comes to ensure that program files are-own and contain no alien code files. As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 37.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) close Firefox (if applicable).

    (3) to rename the program folder

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    Any improvement?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

  • Iso file of windows xp can directly be installed USB on a formatted hard drive?

Iso file of windows xp can directly be installed USB on a formatted hard drive?

    Not directly.

There is a SMALL chance that if your hardware supports it (unfortunately never say you anything on your PC or BIOS), you can boot from a USB stick or an optical drive and install Windows XP like this.
    But it is unlikely.
In addition, tell us what you mean by 'windows xp iso file. This is very vague, and we do not know what you are talking about.
Finally, if you want to ask questions here, really read the answers and recognize them in some way. Here is a link to your other thread:
