  I'm not able to download the updated drivers for my dv2911us, especially bios and updates from hp.  I get a message about IE not being able to view this Web page.   seems to happen for all updates that are only available for download (some may be directly installed) in the section support and drivers.  These drivers are not the same ones that the machine is brought; they are in fact updates and should be downloaded and installed from the hard drive.

  I tried the chat support and they were not useful.   one guy said that I had to make a change in my registry, one still says for me to do a system restore.  I called tech support and the guy said could download from its end on his machine, he was unable to understand my situation.

  Updates are not related to series numbers, so you must have done something compared to try to use an upgrade rather than an update.  Adobe not revise older versions of their software to adapt to the latest hardware/devices.  They create/sell new versions of their software for it.  If you subscribe to the Cloud at some point you shouldn't have a problem with the software becomes obsolete.
