  I don't know anything about "reset admin account" but here are two things that may help the case to start in safe mode.  First, enter the mode safe mode with f8 key is a matter of time.  On my computer (Dell) during the boot process, I'm going to get a screen send me options of start of f2 and f12, which is to enter the BIOS.  I can start hitting key f8 then but you will in safe mode unless I'm hit immediately after that the screen with f2 & f12 choices goes.  I just hit several times for a few moments at this time.

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

• Just downloaded el Capitan and I can not get my mail!

  I just downloaded el capitan on my mac book and may no longer have my mail.  Also, I don't understand what happened to my slide bar for internet and mail.  Is it possible to get rid of this?  I can not us my quicken or my word more.  This is why I hate going to the following system.  Always a headache.   First of all, can you open the Mail application?  What happens when you do?  Did you go to--> Internet accounts system preferences to check that your email addresses are there?  Two, what you're talking about when you say "slider bar for internet and mail"?  Three, what you are wanting to get rid of?  Four, what happens when you try open Quicken or Word?  Update to be compatible with El Capitan before you upgraded?

  Had to reformat my old dads computer and start with the installation of the new plant.

  Reformat the drive worked fine and I deleted all of the AV and other programs not essential.  I reinstalled Samantic AV and scanned w/n implies.

  After that, went to update the XP and the site says nothing availble.

  I know that I need to SP1, 2 & 3 and everything that has been issued (should be hundreds).

  I know this is an old machine, but I like XP and it good to have a back base for processing and work at home.
