Can not share the internet connection through Wifi

Hi all

I am connected to the internet using an external antenna connected via USB to my mac (WIRELESS n 801.11). I want to share this connection since my mac with other devices, i.e. my iPhone. I use the internet connection through system preferences--> sharing--> sharing internet--> connection on the part of wlan to computers via WIFI and give a name and a password for the wifi settings. When I start the connection icon wifi on the the high watch the arrow menu to the top, but it gives an IP address from 169 auto... etc etc and I can't any traffic to my iPhone.

I tried to configure IPv4 to use DHCP with a manual (instead of automatic DHCP) address and IP I enter the IP address used in the WiFi, wifi says that it is connected to the name of the internet connection in the shared connection, I opened but once again no traffic to the iPhone. Also tried disabling the firewall, once again nothing.

I run El Capitan 10.11.2.

-J' I reopen Desktop and it seems to work very well, but the pop-up window to transfer programs to the handheld device lists no program at all.

    Help, please:

    Can I trust the v 6.2.2 update?

What Museum transferred to the handheld?

Most recent is not necessarily equivalent to the best.  6.2.2 was a construction needed by a society of Japan (Access) to make a version of Palm Desktop which works with Vista and newer versions of Windows.  These new versions of Windows has broken several functions in Palm Desktop 4.x, so 6.2.2 was born.  It is not a version update of Palm Desktop.

The fact that you're having trouble installing it is eloquent.  6.2.2 is known to lose data when a computer is closed and that the program is active, doesn't have a color code for the categories and breaks up the synchronization with DataViz products.  It uses a different database structure to 4.x, so all the backups of RAW files will not work.

I have not installed 6.2.2 on a XP box, but I guess that it will work.  I would do so if the opportunity?   N °

As a volunteer here, I have no real power to change the existing Support files.  I'm not "discredit" anything, just to offer a suggestion.  Palm Desktop 4.2 is designed for Windows XP, and works very well with this system.

  • Computer shows as connected... but we can not access the internet.

Original title: but alas... internet no.

Recently, we had this problem where our shows as connected pc... but we can not access the internet.  What I've been able to solve, is that somehow my IP settings change.

I'm going to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically", but of course... when the problem occurs again I find that my "Obtain DNS server automatically an address" has been changed to "use the following DNS server address".

What is causing my computer to change my settings?

I think you're DIY too.  Normally, your computer and your wireless router assign dynamic IP addresses, and they change periodically - that is part of the security design.

In your case, the DNS server is the router.

Most of the time what you describe is your computer is able to find a wireless router but the router doesn't send an IP (its normal function).

    This is usually:

    1. Your Internet service provider is down or your connection to it is broken.  If this is the case there is nothing you can do about it.
    2. Your computer network security key does not match the one in the router.

1 reset the modem & router.  Follow these instructions precisely: http://canadiantech.info/?page_id=136

    2. If that does not resolve the problem, you must remove this network from your list of networks to manage Windows 7.  Then try to connect again using the network key, you know.

    3. If this does not work, you will need to do a factory reset on the router and re - install the router according to the router set up instructions.

    4. If after all the above does not correct the problem, you must replace your router.

  • Satellite A110-277: can not access the internet wireless

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A110-277. We have wireless internet access in our House and it was workin fine, but since a few days I can not access the internet. My laptop is certainly recognizing internet connection wireless, but through IE or Firefox it just does not connect.

For some reason, he worked briefly through Firefox, but then that stopped. I don't see what anyone, I have done differently, other than (finally) updated Windows Media Player, but why would that cause problems, I don't know!

I would really appreciate help as soon as POSSIBLE, that the internet is my lifeline to work!

  • Connect a Vista PC (host) with an XP PC in LAN and share the internet connection.

I connect to internet using 3 different notebooks with Windows Vista with a wireless connection to a router and the DSL modem. I have a desktop PC XP computer in a secluded spot in my house, who does not have a wireless card. When I want to use the internet in Office XP, I connect it to a laptop using a LAN cable.

I was able to do that with 2 of my notebooks (set up the network and share the internet), but with the third Vista notebook, desktop XP can't get the internet connection established. I was not able to detect which is the problem.

First question: clues to debug this problem?

Second question: I would like to start over again and configure everything again with this third book. How should I proceed?

Turn on Internet connection sharing on the Vista wireless network connection.  If asked what to use for the home network connection, tell him to use the connection to the Local network. Then check the State of TCP/IP on both computers:

    1. On the Vista computer, right-click on the connection to the Local network, and then click on status > details . It must show:

      • IP address: 192.168.0.1
      • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
      • Default gateway: no
      • Server DNS = none
    2. On the XP computer, right-click on the connection to the Local network, and then click on status > support > details . It must show:
      • IP address: 192.168.0.x (1<>
      • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
      • Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

  • Recently downloaded programs do not find the internet connection.

New programs I downloaded recently can not find my internet connection.  I get messages such as 'need Internet to continue', 'no internet connection', etc..  My internet is running and I'm able to send and receive emails, download videos (i-tunes, hulu, netflix) so I know I'm connected.  This has happened with PamFax, Nod32 and Picaso so I'm pretty sure it's a problem on my end and not with the programs I am trying to download.  I tried to turn off my windows firewall and pop-up blockers, windows Defender, but none of this has helped.

As long as you become familiar with system restore, then you will be able to use this program and always have a fall back solution if you make a mistake then to make changes to the settings of your machine.

As for your nervousness, which is perfectly understandable, I remember when I started calculating to feel the same way.  Mind you if you were less than 10 years you would take to computers like a duck to water.  Are what I wanted to say, see if you have friends some more competent that can help you in this matter, otherwise there are repairmen who, for a fee, unfortunately, you should get going.

Another option is to use your OEM Support, who are responsible for your machine, the operating system, AND possibly a free support for you, and also, they might be able to work on your machine remotely, IE. Remote assistance.

Another option is to contact your ISP help and support.

  • When a user logs off Windows 7 x 64 session, the rest can not access the internet until the restart network card

Hello! I found a problem with my system: when a user logs off Windows 7 x 64 session, the rest can not access the internet, until restarted network card. Reinstall NIC driver did not help. Problem appears on a built-in adapter, in the motherboard and a separate PCI card too.  Same router via its web interface is not accessible. Windows cannot automatically fix this problem after trying to diagnose a problem with his problem Diagnostic tool. After the diagnosis in the DETAILS window, MORE tests, it displays a message like this "computer remote can not receive a connection via the Internet (HTTP) Service Port". "Unplugging" a corresponding Local network connection and then reconnect solves the problem immediately. Switching between users, when two of them are connected do not cause this problem. Important: the problem occurs in the account of the user who was logged on the system FIRST after the PC was on, when the user disconnected on newspapers of a SECOND. If the SECOND user is logged in and the FIRST user disconnects, SECOND can still access the internet. It depends only on the sequence of the user's record, not on the particular user name. And one more interesting fact: after each user registered on and outside just for once, the problem seems to disappear until the PC is turned off and turn it back on!

    System details:

    Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-VLK
    CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 K
    RAM: 8 GB
    OS: Windows 7 x 64

    Hi, Mahesh,

and thank you very much for your help! Update firmware driver and router LAN did not help me get rid of my problem, but greatly improved my experience of networking in general. Anti-virus software was not guilty, also, but! I found the "iControl" network software, installed as part of Sogiciel 'AI Suite II' (that came on the CD of motherboard ASUS driverssoftware), runnning and causing not only the problem mentioned above, but would also decrease upload speed up to 0.3 MB/s, when download passes to nearly 100 Mbps! Moreover, searching the Internet, I have found a lot of complaints about the behavior of this software, so that people watch you the occasional installation of this piece... sweet ;) As "iControl network" has been uninstalled (not only turned off in the settings of 'Ai Suite II'!), I'm totally happy with my system performance.

    Best regards

  • I can not find the internet Explorer on my computer.

I can not find the internet Explorer on my computer. To use it I have to go to corel draw, then the help and it will open to explorer 8. If I try to fown it loads, it won't let me. I got a virus and it is gone, but I can't use yet internet explore the right way.

    Hi Janie,

The executable file for IE is called iexplore.exe.  You can click Start and then type iexplore in the search field.

Microsoft has a tool to resolve this that should return the IE icon on the desktop - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945402. Under the fix for me article, there is a button, you must click called Microsoft Fix it.  Click run in the file download dialog box. Follow the steps in the Wizard icon on the desktop to display Internet Explorer to create an Internet Explorer desktop icon.

Answer him back if you try this method and let us know if it is your problem.  It is a relatively new tool and it would be nice to receive feedback on how it works.  There are several other applets fix it available for further questions.  More information can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/fixit#tab0.

  • My WRT54g2 can not see the internet through my wrt54g...

My company gave me a new laptop which allow no connectivity WEP. I need wep for printers and other devices on my network so I bought a new wrt54g2 to manage wireless WPA and plugged into one of the ports opened on the old router. I went to the admin and everything set up for my taste, but for some reason any that it won't catch a connection... What should I do so that he could see the internet through the old router...

If you connect a router to another, connect the two together by network ports. Then turn off the DHCP server on the router of the second, which sounds like the WRT54G2 in this case. You may also have to reconfigure the second router local IP address out in the same IP range as the first router but outside the DHCP server on the router from the first milking. For example, if the local IP address of router then the router is on 192.168.1.1, two IP local to 192.168.1. 5 (or something of the sort).

Or autour routers and use the WRT54G2 as the main and several router that is configured for the secondary router WEP and turn DHCP on the secondary router. Other changes such as the reconfiguration of the local IP address of the second router must always be made. Or check your existing wireless devices configured for WEP see if they will support or can be updated for decision-making support WPA or WPA2. If so remove the existing router and use the WRT54G2 in its place.

Also, make sure that both routers have different names for SSID wireless and are on different wireless channels to avoid a conflict.

  • BEFSRU31 - connected to the router, but can not browse the internet.

Hi, I had this problem in the last three months. I share a Linksys BEFSRU31 with my friend. However, once or twice a week, or even more frequently, the router suddenly ceases to send data to my computer. However, my roommate still receives data. So I'm unable to browse the internet even though I am connected to the router and the router gives me an IP address. The only solution I found to do this is to reset the router, which is annoying, because the router is in my friend's room and I don't like to disturb whenever this happens. The ISP is Optimum Online, and I'm on a cable connection 8 MBit. Can someone help me please this problem? Thank you for your time and your collaboration.

  • Comments (Ubuntu) can not access the internet through host (XP)

I used Google to find a solution as to why guest (Ubuntu) cannot access the internet. Host system is Windows XP. None of the solution has not worked for me. Solutions that worked for others: 1 activation NAT 2. Allowing the shared internet connection

I think the problem is that my host and guest use different subnet masks default (respectively 255.255.0.0 255.255.255.0 vs) assigned by DHCP. The host's configuration manually to use the same subnet mask doesn't help either. I guess that I have it configured incorrectly.

    Welcome to the community,

I think the problem is that my host and guest use different subnet masks default...

Your configuration looks like, it has been changed manually! Default vmnet8 (NAT) on the host computer has an IP address like 192.168.x.1/24, comparable to vmnet1 (Host-Only). I suggest that restore you the configuration to its default settings that should work as expected.
