  To boot from the recovery CD: -.

  1 insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive

  2. turn on the laptop while pressing the CD key until the phone beeps.

  3. follow the on-screen instructions to restore your operating system.

  As an alternative to the above, you can also press the PF12 key during the feeding sequence and this should allow you to choose the CD-ROM as boot device.

  Press and hold the 'C' key is a specific shortcut of Toshiba to allow the laptop to boot directly from the CD. However, you can also select the CD-ROM as boot device in the BIOS, just press the F12 key when you see the Toshiba start screen for power over the process and you will be presented with a menu of the device selection.   Well, it could be a hardware malfunction of HARD drive. Yes, it is possible. But I don t think that there is a bad connection. You used this HARD over the last two years and you n t change the settings of connections on this HARD drive. Is this good?
  If it possible s so I suggest you of to completely format the HARD drive.
  Then try to start the recovery procedure.

  However if the HARD drive has a functioning default (ie. crushing of the head), so the only way is to replace this device.

  If this isn't the case, then this means that the HARD drive is faulty.

  Then put it in the laptop, insert the bootable CD and try to boot from the drive.

  Usually, if you have a laptop wireless switch should have a wireless LAN card too. In your case I would try to install the driver. Then the WLAn card should appear correctly in Device Manager:

  If that doesn t work, you can try a BIOS update.

  As far as I know standard 20 GB HARD drive used by Satellite Pro A10 is 9.5 mm but I think you can also use 12.5 mm.

  Why do you think the motherboard is ok?
  Maybe it s a controller keyboard problem
  Did you check if the cable is correctly connected?

  In my opinion if you are sure that the keyboard is ok 100% the problem to be attached to the motherboard because there is no other party that is placed between the keyboard and the mobo.
