Can not start safe mode

I know how to do this. Whenever I try, I go about this Mac, and then the reporting system and double click on the software.

Then he said: I'm in normal mode. I tried with two keyboards, to check if the shift key works.

Restart the computer. At the chime, press on and hold down the SHIFT key until the Apple logo appears, and you see the progress indicator. If you are in Safe Mode , then you will get a login screen that says Safe Mode. Make sure that you are using an Apple keyboard and mouse. Disconnect all other devices, as appropriate.

  • Able to boot normally to Windows 7 but can not start safe mode

Hi, I have a laptop of Lenovo who has Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it.

I had a few problems with not being able to see all the videos on CNN or the Weather Channel site, is not showing me any local report.  So I thought that I would try to start safe mode to make certain shortcomings.  (I can see videos very well elsewhere).  This happens on all 3 browsers I have (11 IE, Firefox and Chrome.

However, after pressing F8 and get the option screen, once I chose the Mode safe mode (with or without network) it works the list of drivers and then darkens with only the arrow on the pointer in the center of the screen and stays like that for a long time without anything happening.

I already ran all antivirus programs and spyware that I have, but nothing changes.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello Clifton,

Please provide a detailed description of the issue.

I understand the inconvenience you encountered. However, I really appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

In order to understand the issue more clearly, I would ask that kindly provide me with the following information.

    1. You did it all changes specific to the computer before this problem?

    2. Are you able to see other boot with safe mode options?

It is possible that this problem would have occurred either due to system files that have gone wrong in the system.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Please follow the steps below give and check if that helps.

    1. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press enter.

    2. Select the tab Startup and check the Startup in the section startup options and the value of the radio button to a minimumand then click OK.

    3. The following System Configuration prompt, select restart or exit without restart . Whatever it is, the next boot will take you into safe mode.

Note: Make sure that you put the computer to Start Normal once you have completed troubleshooting. Open msconfig in the same way as above, and then on the tab startup uncheck the safe boot check box.

If the problem persists, follow method 2

    Method 2:

Run the system restore and restore the system to a date when it was working fine. To do this, please follow the steps in the link provided below.

  • The Explorer does not start, the Task Manager does not start, safe mode does not start. Wat to do?

I have recently been diagnosed with some sort of spyware / trojan in Avira and, apparently, he had removed. Apparently NOT.

Yesterday my laptop crashed and explorer.exe would not load at startup. The screen is all black with just the cursor. Windows Key + R is not raise Run and Alt + Ctrl + Del to appear the option lock and stop... but no task manager.

Safe mode has the same problem. I tried the option restore also, but all the restore points has mysteriously disappeared.

I wonder if there is no solution without a ridiculous amount of data backup and restoration of the entire system. Thanks in advance

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

My daughter has a virus on his computer and he was arrested for perhaps a year. Can I try and see if it will boot in safe mode and down load a service of scaning as Mirco soft essentials for a scanner or Malware Anti-malware bytes. I guess my question main you can down load a program in safe mode.

  • Windows Vista does not load, can not use Safe Mode, etc.

    Computer/laptop: Dell Inspiron 1525
    Running: Windows Vista

I hope someone here can understand this, but it's a pretty serious problem for me for two days now.

Two days ago I started my laptop that I normally have.  I did insofar as the office, and then once I tried to move my cursor autour, nothing happened.  Instead of using the cursor, navigation with the keyboard, I tried once more, nothing helps.  Everything was just frozen.  I didn't think much at the time, because I thought maybe it was just one of those random freezes, restart the computer fixed.

    But my problem got worse.

After the next reboot, my computer is doing as much as the black screen with the Green loading bar with the words "Microsoft Corporation" under it... and where he remained for more than 6 hours.  It's exactly what it does whenever I restart the computer.  Just in the limbo of the permanent load.

I held F12 on boot to the top and ran a diagnostic test, which revealed nothing wrong.  I tried all the options under F8, including all variations of Safe Mode, and once more, nothing has worked.  Even more frustrating is that the computer could not even finished loading command prompt when I tried "Safe Mode with command prompt."

The only clue I've gotten so far was a blue screen randomly with a single line of text that read something like: "'STOP: c00000033 object name invalid ." "

Essentially to: nothing works, and I not made any changes to the computer itself, between the time he was working, and now when it is not.  It loads just for as long as I leave the computer running.

Help or light on this subject would be much appreciated, as the thought of losing everything on a computer, I've had for almost two years is quite upsetting.

    Hey Maverick 104,

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...)  Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: Try (method 1) system restore and repair the startup (method 2) as indicated in the link below:

Your computer may freeze or it may restart to a black screen that has an 0xc0000034 error message after you install a service pack for Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/975484

Step 3: Start the computer to system recovery options (follow the steps mentioned in the link below) > select command prompt tool and run Check disk to repair bad sectors on the hard disk.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

At the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

Now, type chkdsk /r , and then press ENTER.

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

    Hello

As you are able to boot to the desktop in Mode safe, it means that the third-party application prevents the computer from starting in normal mode. To check you can configure the computer to clean start State and then try to boot into normal mode and check what is happening. To set up its own start-up follow the link below.

If the problem does not continues when the computer is in the clean start State follow the steps listed to identify which application is causing the problem.

None of the options works. All I get is a flow of information about drivers and it then hangs. The last driver in the list is:

    I can't clear the checkpoint.

Unfortunately, I can't find the disc that came with the laptop, so I'm well and truly stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon

    HI Leon,

It is quite normal that there is a list of drivers displayed when you try to boot into 'safe' mode However, if initialization fails, obviously there is a problem with your operating system and your only options are to try to fix the problem by using the recovery console (you will need to boot from a CD of original Microsoft installation), or you can restore the original Toshiba CD recovery full operating system.
A third possibility would be to start with a utility such as Norton Ghost or Acronis image backup/restore and restore a backup previously taken by an external device.

The simplest option is to restore from a backup that is already taken, but if you don't then you would be better restore from the recovery CD Toshiba you can get at any Toshiba authorized Service partner.

    Kind regards

That someone has suggestions for the system difficulty and that everything remains alive.

I think you need to determine if the problem of access to the SafeMode because that the F8 key does not access safe mode menu or the computer does not start in safe mode.

In the past with a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia keyboard, I met the situation where the function keys had to be activated by pressing the CAPS LOCK key. This was to be done whenever the computer is started. This is done using the F8 key safe mode access impractical because you must press the lock key when the system is unable to receive instructions from keyboard and always press the F8 key until the system has progressed beyond the point where the ability to access the security mode is still available.  You can't do it.

    http://jtsang.MVPs.org/flock.html

The easiest way to access the safe mode becomes to connect using a wired keyboard ps2 if you cannot access the mode without failure of the normal mode. To access the normal mode by selecting Start, run, type msconfig and press ENTER. Choose the Startup tab and let secure boot. Click apply and then click OK and restart the computer. To return to a normal startup, you uncheck the safe boot option.

I tried to use system restore, but he says he has not found a moment of restoration which is good.

The main concern right now for me is to get my personal data and files on the computer.  I still have another computer to use, so I'm not so worried about starting the computer.  I want to find a way to the first backup of my personal data and files from the computer to external devices, then try to repair the computer.

    Thank you.

    Hi DreamMeng,

You can try to use third party software to back up data and check.

You can use your favorite search engine to navigate on the third-party data backup software and that the software allows to save data.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

You can also make contact with the Local Techshop for assistance to the protection of the data.

We window directly on the hardware, you must install via Boot Camp

    http://www.Apple.com/support/Bootcamp/

a 64 bit OS will not work unless you use an add-on as the EFI on 2006-2007 Mac Pros is only 32-bit.

The CD of Ubuntu 64 regular bits have to begin on older Intel Mac, as MacPro1, 1, because of incompatibilities EFI. You must download a special + mac CD of Ubuntu to work around this problem. To 11.04, you can get it here:http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/11.04/release/
