Can only use safe mode and can not access anything except firefox

Basically, there are a few days all of a sudden, a box came up saying Windows Explorer has stopped working. No matter what I click, it returns constantly to the rear. Because I use firefox, I can't to anything except this, and I can't get him if I use safe mode.
It is terribly annoying, I have 6000 + photos and other things I need, i.e. duties.
How can I fix? I can't use the normal mode, and it's annoying.
Thanks in advance.

Then download your data either by:

1 remove the drive and put it in a box of USB drive or use a USB adapter. Attach it to a computer that is running a working XP/Vista/Windows7 installation. Use the work of Windows Explorer to copy the data to the hard drive of the system to the rescue and burn data on cd or dvd. I prefer not to do it if I know the drive is infected because he has a chance to infect your host system. In these cases, I use #2 below.

2. you can start the target computer with a Bart PE (if you use XP) or a Linux live CD like Knoppix and retrieve the data in this way. General information about the use of Knoppix for this are:

You will need a computer with two cd records, one of which is an engraver of CD/DVD OR a USB thumb drive with sufficient capacity to store your data, OR an external hard drive formatted USB FAT32 (not NTFS) *. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable CD. If you do this in a previous (XP or Vista) operating system, you will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn software (Windows 7 can burn .isos natively). Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then boot with the CD that you created, and Knoppix will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it. Note that the mouse action by default in the window manager used by Knoppix (KDE) is a simple click to open instead of double-click traditional MS Windows. If you want to burn CD/DVDs, use the K3b program.

* My understanding is that you can now write on NTFS from Linux partition. If you wish to do this, Google for instructions on the use of the NTFS driver.

http://www.Knoppix.NET
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ - Bart PE Builder

Then do a restore clean factory/install of Windows.

I want to emphasize that you should not take what I wrote as a definitive diagnosis. I can't see or test your computer from here. I give you my opinion on your computer based on my experience as a computer tech and what you have written. If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Hello all and thanks to anyone who responds! I'm pretty clueless when it comes to computers, so I hope it's just something simple.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a Presario F700. The processor is AMD Athlon X 2, processor Dual-Core TK - 55 1.80 GHz. 958 MB RAM and 32 - bit operating System.I don't know if you need this information but better safe than sorry. OK for the problem.

The computer is supposed to be wireless, but I cannot make it work. When I go to Device Manager in a single Normal boot device shows. It is said: NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet #2. I'm not sure what that means, but he says that this device does not work correctly. I couldn't HP Wireless Assistant to work so I followed some advice that I've seen an uninstalled but that did not help at all. I'm sure that's not my firewall is disabled. And I use Norton Security, but I don't know which is not affecting him either since it was a problem before I installed Norton.

Also, if I boot mode safe more things highlighted in Device Manager. For example, it shows these: card 6TO4, isatap.hsd1.fl.comcast.net, NVIDIA nForce 10 / 100 Mbps ethernet #2 miniport (IP) wide AREA network, wide area network (IPv6) WAN miniport, miniport Wan WAN (L2TP), miniport WAN (PPPOE), miniport Wan WAN (PPTP). But only in Safe Mode. Even if I try Boot Mode safe mode w / Networking they always disappear and it's the only one. I have tried everything I know how to do but I'm at a loss as to what prevents it from loading the Normal start.

On a side note, someone said to make sure that the adapter is enabled in the BIOS and I checked and the only thing remotely sounding like a NIC is enabled. He wasn't that anything listed in the order of boot on an adapter until recently, and it's at the bottom of the list with an exclamation mark next to it. However, the exclamation point is now gone, but NIC is always at the end of the list. I also ran the check disk thing, and he came back fine. I ran a full scan of the system without any problems but a few tracking cookies. I tried to uninstall in safe mode and start back to normal to leave the computer to reinstall without success. I also used the option reset back to the factory. While time consuming which did not help either.

If anyone has any ideas as to what I can I would be very happy. I'm hoping to give this computer to my brother as a Christmas gift. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure I was as complete as possible to save everyone time. Thanks again. And if I missed any information please let me know and I'll fix it.

If reset you to factory, it should work.  It is a switch broken (I don't him think) a motherboard problem or probable internal problems with the wireless. Take it to a store because it is a common problem with these computers.

  • Why cani not access yahoo in firefox, but in IE, I can't

  • Vista broke down. Can only use safe mode. (NOT RESOLVED)

Hey, if my computer worked fine until I tried to install an update from windows. It seems not completely install and just froze, so I closed the window and restarted my computer.

I then try to connect to my user, and it seems like I'm on a temporary user instead. I could still get into my files, but any changes I've made have not been saved. I said to myself, this is not normal, so decided to do a system restore.

I restart my computer once again and try to connect. It looks like its about to load, but then says "logout" and goes back to the login screen again = S

I try to restart, press F8 and put it on safe mode. I try another system restore - no change. I use the command prompt to perform a disk check, no change. I do a virus scan - no viruses. My boyfriend has also checked the RAM, and he can't find a problem.

Have saved as much as I can on discs and USB. Is there something else I could try, because I really don't want to have to restart my brand new computer?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Since I use F10, my Vista PC can not access anything whatsoever

    Hello

Can anyone help since I use F10 (I backed up all my files) on my Acer Aspire 5315 installed with Windows vista basic and technology from Acer.

I'm able to use my PC because I can't acess ANYTHING. I've even lost the use of my wireless button and the touchpad, I now have to use my leader nethernet to my router, but now that doesn't work.  I now have to use my laptop to granddaughter. It is a real pain. I have all the windows or acer discs so I can't even start from scratch.  Please can someone HELP!

    * original title - problem no PC since I use F10 *.

    Hi carolrogers

    Method 1:

I suggest to start in safe mode with network and check if you are able to connect properly. Connect the minimum hardware requirements like mouse, keyboard, etc., then check if the problem reappears.

In SafeMode with networking. you have access to only the drivers and the core files and includes drivers for network and service needed to access the internet or other computers on your network. To start in safe mode with network links - below
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Method 2:

You can perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem.

Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.

Please refer to the below of the help links on performing a system restore.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

    I hope this helps.

  • Is there an external link to use to restore Windows XP Home to original values? I can only use safe mode at the moment that my computer shuts down automatically (with blue screen)

Running Windows XP home SP3. eMachines T6528 AMD Athlon 64 3500 + processor, nvidia GeForce 6100 GPU
I downloaded and executed a double file Finder and SEVERAL files deleted by mistake.

According to these instructions, you are not supposed to do that! Look at them again. They are on p. 137 (or p. 145). (P. 137, printed on the bottom or the p. 145 of the .pdf file!)

Remove all the drives and physically disconnect all USB and network connections first!

Then either start as you normally would (if you can) and select:

Start | All programs | System recovery | System recovery

    and then click Yes.

Or if you are unable to start up as usual, you will need to press F11 at the beginning - almost immediately after the ignition of the PC.

THEN, when you are prompted to, you can insert the disc. :-)

  • my computer only works in safe mode and will not start in normal mode I have no virus, what could be the problem

I get the blue sreen with theses messages
    0 x 0, 00000000 00000001

I don't know what your problem is, but I would point out that when you say "I have no virus", you could very well be wrong

No antivirus program is perfect, and the more popular (Norton and McAfee) are among the worst. Just because they do not catch something doesn't mean you're not nfected.

In addition, more virus there are other types of malware, such as spyware, and even if you have no virus, you could be infected with spyware.

For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (do not run more than one) of the following three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program like Microsoft Security Essentials, with anti-spyware feature integrated into it). I recommend that you download and
    install MalwareBytes AntiMalware (freeware)

  • I just bought an Airport Extreme and try to put in place.  I have Fios cable with a router.  I can not get anything except a blinking orange light.  After reading the instructions, it seems that the problem with the ethernet cable but I

Must not exceed the flashing orange light.  have tried three ethernet cables to the Fios router.  All thoughts

What extreme version do you have?

Test the cables connecting the airport to your Mac with them and see if the ethernet works on Mac. Green connectivity light should go... If it fails, then the AE died.

Please do a factory reset, then try again.

Sometimes Mac airport utility works well... If you have the preference or iphone ipad, download and use iOS version airport utility and try it for configuration... It is much less awkward.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on your computer?

I suggest that you try to do a system restore to the point just before that you deleted the account.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

One of the solutions proposed in this thread is to reset the Windows TCP/IP stack. In another thread on this reset, several users have posted their newspapers which doubled indicating "access denied" you probably need to run cmd.exe as administrator to overcome that if this happens to you:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Insider/Forum/insider_wintp-insider_web/Windows-10-TP-cant-connect-to-Internet-through/97e1885e-790b-4D4F-92d4-6b1d97e8c85c

There are many articles on this for older versions of Windows, but it is not so well documented for Windows 10 again. Here are a few articles for reference:

  • Can not leave completely insensitive - Firefox, use Safe Mode, reinstall or uninstall

I installed Firefox less than a month ago. Two days ago, that he left suddenly during the navigation. This does seem like a problem, really - I thought I would just restart - but it REMAINS open. Shows the icon in my dock (on Mac), and the menu bar appears when I click on the icon. I can browse the menu selections but can not choose one.

    I can't:
-Leave Firefox - from the menu or with Ctrl + Q
    -Open a new fenΩtre
    -Open help
    -Access to "troubleshooting information.
-Select "restart with modules disabled...". »
    -Use the Safe Mode

Because I can not use Safe Mode and cannot leave the program, I have IMPOSSIBLE:
-Uninstall (it refuses to remove, because the program is 'open', as it won't leave)
-Reinstall (I can't substitute the existing because the program is 'open')
    -Remove my dock
    -.. pretty much anything else.

I've read many articles dealing with troubleshooting, Safe Mode, reinstall clean, etc, but unfortunately I can't make one of these because Firefox is open but completely insensitive.

(PS - I tried to install the below troubleshooting information, but, even once, because Firefox is not responding, I couldn't open it lol - there was "no application available" to read it.) I can't go through the manual steps because I cannot access the troubleshooting information in the Help menu and so cannot even begin step 1.)

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be VERY happy! I thank very you much for your time and help!

If qutting, it's because of the questions are now trying down option as you click the icon in the dock and choose force quit from the list!

Also you have tired Fox fire rest functionality (otherwise said if your power to access)
    To do:

    1. Go to Firefox > help > troubleshooting information.
    2. Click on the button 'Reset Firefox'.
    3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is finished, it will display a window with the imported information. Click Finish.
    4. Firefox opens with all the default settings applied.
