  I had my computer about 4 years from new. For all the last 2 + years my CD/DVD drive did not work, reading or writing. It will read the strange music cd sometimes? Its really almost never used. I tried update and the restoration of pilot operations in the past, but it didn't work. Not knowing what it takes I managed without the drive.
