Can recovery Comapq SR1520AN discs - a CD set be remastered on DVD?

I have a set of recovery XP CD that I created shortly after the purchase of my Compaq SR1520AN and am considering their remastering to DVD - editing tool I've used to create in the first place won't let me create a new set directly ("You already performed a set of disks on this computer" - you know the sort of thing with agreements etc.)

Can they be remastered int

o a smaller set of DVD manually (i.e. less disks)? Or is it a tweak to the registry or other places that will allow me to start again from scratch? Or is it basically just all I have (which could not last forever) or speak kindly to the customer support people?

Thanks in advance for your ideas

EDIT: I noticed that I put this in the section "laptops"... Yes, my bad: the SR1520AN is a desktop computer!

Patience is a virtue: sooner or later someone will come up with a better idea

Make copies of important data backup is always a good idea before making changes to your system.

  • Qosmio G40-108 - prevent recovery of product disc ask to insert the disc

I have a Qosmio G40-108 and it works fine even if the disc is not read discs any longer, perhaps because of a motherboard failure that I replace the disk with a new of brans and it still does not work, but my problem is the following... I have the product recovery disc, I tried to copy it to a USB key and reinstall the OS from USB and the start of software loading a page with the logo Toshiba asking to insert the recovery disk into drive F: I can't use is more like it's broken. How can I prevent the disc from asking to insert the disk into drive F:? There are lines on the laptop recovery disk to install the USB without using the disc?

I managed to install a generic Windows Vista 32 bit downloaded from a Web site and my serial key works with it, but I really want to reinstall the original software
P.S. Recovery of product is for Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and just in case there is also a serial number of the disk GMR400766ENG

I don't have any experience with this, but I found an interesting article on creating recovery USB - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm

Maybe you'll be able to create the USB stick recovery. Check it out.

  • I bought a 128 GB SSD for my HP computer. Use of recovery on this disc?

My current HARD drive works fine, but I wanted the advantage of speed of installation of the operating system and programs on an SSD.  I tried using the recovery on the SSD disks and he got all the way to the final, but could not go beyond the part of copy of file - I let it run all night.  How can I use the recovery disks on this drive to upgrade?  It is 128 GB, which is plenty of space for the two partitions as well as data from full recovery.

    You are welcome.

The only way I know not if it is to find someone who has a Dell Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM reinstallation disk or a classic OEM installation disc.

Use to install the operating system.

When you go to activate (if you use a Dell disk), you will get an activation error and you get prompt to change the product key. When you do that, you can enter the product key on your PC and it should turn very well.

You can usually find these discs on eBay if you don't know someone with a Dell PC with the same OS as yours.

Except the cheapest one I see on eBay right now to buy now, it's this one.  $40.00.

You can bid on them if you want to wait for this process.

You may be better of buying an OEM installer with the key. ($100)  Use your license on your HP.

You will then have a license with the drive to another PC, if you need one of the one you bought.

  • Edge 525 & Rescue & Recovery without recovery Partition but discs

I went to restore my laptop to factory setting, but to the rescue and recovery application, I don't have any possibility to recover on the laptop as it came out of the factory.

When I got the laptop, I created rescue media and have a set of 4 discs, all (2 are 8.5 GB) DVD. The R & R boots and asks the Final C drive. None of the disks appear in the backup list box.

Before I left for a new installation by using a Windows 7 disc, I got R & R OFF load media to a portable player. This will start to a different version of R & R similar to the walkthrough of 2008 post. But the screen I get is not the radio button for the restoration of the factory, just backup and when I put my DVD in, no backup copy is in the media, I have...

I deleted the partition from the factory after that I created the media as I presume I could go back to the factory to use.

My new installation of windows 7, it works but the download driver Lenovo Wireless does not activate...

wish I never started to mess with it now...

    Any suggestions?

Update: all restored and running again...

Must label better records in the future... I have had 4 drives in a bundle, the first being the emergency repair disk, which starts with a similar screen.

As 1 of my records did nothing in the rescue and recovery various application, I used previous thinkpads. Turns out it was bootable and the good relief and recovery for my game disks... cdrivebackup.swm took forever to load, and then asked for the second disc. Transformed and now 1 system that works again...

now to move all the data back...

While creating a slide show with pictures, can you assign music to a specific set of photos? I would use 5 different pieces of music for every 5 parts of my slide show.

No, you can't.  One solution is to create 5 different slideshows and export them to the office where you can bring together them in a single quicktime movie file and use it.

If you have a copy of iMovie 6 HD, it can be hacked to work with El Capitan. With it you can assign exactly music groups of slides in the slide show:

  • How can I check the disc for physical integrity on Satellite P305?

    I have P305-S8838.

I had some freezing problems earlier this month, and on the notice here, I nu start-up and reduced services a little at a time.
Now, I have a few more crash but don't know if it's a physical disk problem.

For example... I have run CHKDSK and does many things and happens at the exact same spot and hangs at step 4 file 5 3498 or 421168 processed.

I tried to run CHKDSK in SafeMode but tells me drive is locked and it will run when I restart. But the restart put back me in normal mode and get the same hang.

Now, for more suspicion of a physical problem. I tried to make a disk image with ACronis and same problem occurs because he says impossible to reading data 226 964, 072 sector and ask if I want to ignore and continue. I say yes to everything. Log shows he made about three of these attempts and crashes.

I ran sfc/scannow and it says found problems that he was unable to fix. The newspaper isn't so long and complex course that all means. I could send these log files if someone can help me understand.

I ran the test of memory OK.

I if I could put in DVD Toshiba and certain diagnoses, but when I put in the disk I get this big warning I'll crush, etc and I have chicken.

This didn't stop me to use the computer, but its all irritating.

How can I check the disc for physical integrity?

It seems that if you picked up some malware.  What is the full error message on "antimalware executable?

I would like to cancel the restoration ago 2 months... it's really too long to rely on system restore.  Too many things have been added in the meantime who is affected negatively by the restoration.

It is very difficult to say anything from the limited information you provided, but I suggest starting by download, install, update and run a full scan with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

In your answer, in addition to providing the full text of the error messages, provide all of the following:

What version of Windows, including service pack, do you have?
What antivirus application do you use?  Is up to date? Have you ever let her subscription lapse?
What other antimalware applications do you have?
