    Hello

I think that your L500 supports the Realtek audio driver.
My unit with Realtek audio chip has a manager of its installed Realtek, which is located in the Panel!

    Check the settings there.
In Realtek Manager of its label of speaker on the right, you will find analog and digital outlets.
Right click and check if you can disable the sound through the speakers while the headphones are connected.

  • Satellite L500 - the sound coming from headphones and speakers

    Hello world

My problem is about sound.when I put the headphones in my laptop, the sound just two headphones and speakers.
How can I solve this problem? If can't, I can't use my laptop in attendance.

    Hey,.

What OS is currently installed on your computer?

Is the headset itself works because you can listen to the sound with headphones so for now I doubt s a hardware problem

In any case, perhaps the problem is only linked to its driver and updated it could solve the problem in your case, I would check the Web from Toshiba site to download the latest version.

  • Can satellite L300 - I play region 1 DVD?

I'm having a slight dilemma and would like to request a preview. I am owner of a Satellite L300/L300D and I have my eye on a specific DVD set, however its marked as region 1. I would like to know if he would play on my laptop without any requirement must be respected (basically I question whether it is multi-region).

I have not fiddled with the operating system (it came with Vista) or drive DVD Toshiba delivered pre-installed, etc..

    Hello

Theoretically, there s no problem to change DVD region because you can change it in the properties of the Device Manager > CD/DVD drive.

But don t forget the region code can be changed 4 times and then it is not possible to s more, but in Device Manager you can see how many times you can change it.

  • Updated by Satellite L300-1AQ and Win7 - a few questions

Sorry will try this again as my original thread does not appear anywhere.

I have a Satellite L300-1AQ and only got their hands on the disks to upgrade Toshiba Windows 7 - Vista Home Premium to Win 7 HP.

Can I really use this to perform a new installation of Win 7 64 bit?

That made the other disk in the pair actually? Is it fair pilots or it installs cr@pware too?

    Thank you.

This is a very useful document for you > http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P60000R01.htm

You will get two discs: composite discs and upgrade.
Start your laptop and place the composite disc and follow the on-screen menu. I think that you won't have more problems to understand how it works.

New installation? I don't know if this will work but noted that after a new installation, you will not have the activation code valid and you'll probably version only 30 days. key down will not help you for regular activation.

    Try the following.

Depending on whether you have installed the update of Windows 10 birthday or not, download the installer of Realtek HD Audio relevant on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the driver for Chipset on the following link.

    Windows 10

    Windows 10 anniversary update

When the reinstallation of Chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • How to use headphones and speakers at the same time

I want to use headphones at the same time that I use the speakers.

I am hard of hearing and need the LOUD volume. When others are watching a film, projected on HDTV, they won't let me turn the volume up to where I need it, which is why, headphones and speakers at the same time.

I use Windows 7, I want to stick with Windows 7, so I want a Windows 7 solution.

If there is no solution for Windows 7 and there is a solution using Windows 10, then and then only, I will be upgrading to Windows 10.

Using headphones and speakers was possible under Windows XP. I think that a kid at Microsoft, with a regular audience, thought this feature was redundant and removed. Large.

Macs will play through the headphones and speakers, so maybe it's time to buy a Mac!

  • Satellite A200 - headphone and microphone works do not (Win XP)

I have fully operational Windows XP with all works very well. However, today I tried to connect a microphone to the computer, the software noticed, muted the internal speakers, but it is there no sound in headphones whatever I do. I tried if the microphone is well only to find out I have the same problem - the software realtek notice me, I plugged a microphone, but does record no sound.

I would be most grateful for any help.

Are you sure you checked all necessary settings?

I m not Satellite A200 owner but I have a similar Satellite A series and I installed the two OS (Vista & XP) on my HARD drive.

Of my knowledge you should check the settings of the sound options & audio different microphone.
In Control Panel, you will find the Sound & audio devices. Choose it!
    Then select the Audio tab.

That could be sound recording of area that provides information on possible devices for sound recording.
First of all, you should check if the Volume settings are defined at a higher level.
Then check if a right device has been selected (in my case it s a Realtek HD audio input).

Tab another voice (almost), you can test the record too much voice. This could be very useful to check if the microphone is working correctly
    Please do!

    Good bye

  • Can satellite L300 - I use the microphone as line-in port?

On Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLBGE, there are too many plugs: microphone and headphones.

I would like to copy and transform in digital music from my old analog tapes thorugh an audio cable and a former recorder. Before, I use a desktop PC, which was a line-in Jack (I use Sound Recorder). But the laptop has only two Sockets mentioned. Can I use taken mic as line - in one? At the present time, I installed Windows XP.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello

Did you check your user manual? I doubt that this is because there, I created the following information:
Standard 3.5 mm mini jack microphone allows the connection of a microphone or any other device for * audio *.

This means that you can also connect other devices to input for audio recording. ;)

  • Can satellite L300-1AQ - I use the L300D recovery disk?

My son has a Satellite L300-1AQ equipped of vista. All of a sudden will load is more the laptop and automatic repair options fails too. There is a blue screen that appears, but only for a second when I try the repair option - then the laptop stops. We have no recovery disks.

Also, I have a laptop Satellite L300D-13 s that works well and suppose I could get a drive recovery- but prob diff drivers etc.

Can someone advise me how best to my sons laptop (Im not concerned about retrieving data as all saved already), but do not want to return to the factory settings including Vista. Do not know if using a laptop recovery disk is an option - instinctively is not as ever as simple as that.

    All advice welcome please.

    Hi mate,

I can t imagine that the Satellite L300D recovery disc will work on Satellite L300. The hardware platform is different, because a single machine is equipped with Intel CPU and the other with AMD processor, so there's a big difference.

In addition, in the worst case, it could be a hardware problem and in this case the recovery disk does not work

What can you do now? I think you have to options: either you install Vista from a disk of Microsoft or order you a Toshiba Recovery disk: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

After installing the Microsoft disc, you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba site. Then you will also get back to factory settings, but it takes more time in the recovery disk because it contains an image which already all the drivers and tools are included/installed.

    I hope I could help a bit. :)

  • Can satellite L300-0HH (PSLB8C-0HH01X) - I install XP?

    Hello

Can someone tell me if I can install XP on this computer? It's a Canadian model and they list only vista drivers (cough, sputum) on their Web site.

    Thank you

    Hello!

Of course you can install Windows XP why not? ;)

I have Satellite L300 too but it s a European model and so I downloaded and installed all the drivers for the Toshiba European page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

There's the PSLB8E listed series, which should be similar to yours. In your case I would try, normally it should work.

It would be nice if you give us feedback that it worked or not! :)

    Good bye

  • Can satellite L300-29V - I roll back to Vista after installing XP?

Simple question: assuming I made the recovery discs, is it possible to erase Vista, install XP and then re install Vista using recovery disks? The laptop is a Satellite L300-29V.

A big thank you in advance I can see no clear answer elsewhere.
    John.

    Hello

If you created the recovery disc, you can do what you want. Why? Very simple: the recovery disk contains an image of the factory settings. This means that the version of Vista pre-installed with all the drivers and tools. It is him you even have started the laptop, the first time.

You can install XP, Linux or whatever you want. Demarrer start from the recovery disk, follow the instructions on the screen and you go back to Vista.

I hope this information is useful for you.

    Welcome them

  • Can satellite L300 - 18 d - I create Win7 system recovery?

Hi I just installed Windows 7 on this Satellite L300 - 18 d laptop standard. I am really a novice in computer science.

In any case, there is a HARD drive recovery file reserved by the OEM from Toshiba which I use from time to time to restore my computer to factory conditions, whenever my laptop becomes too slow or infected by a virus. But it restore Vista.

Since I now have Windows 7, is there a way to perform a recovery system directly to Windows 7 instead of Vista and Windows 7? The only way I am aware of this fact creates an image of the system control panel (backup and restore), but it takes 25 GB which is far too much data to store. Can I replace the recovery partition OEM Vista HARD drive with a recovery of Windows 7 one? The Toshiba HARD drive recovery file does that 4.68 GB against 25 GB for a Windows 7 system at the address image self-created.

    Anyone know of a solution?

    Kind regards
    Kristo

    > Can I replace the recovery partition OEM Vista HARD drive with a recovery of Windows 7 one?
N ° something like this is not possible. Original Toshiba recovery image is not editable.

All you can try to do is to clean Win7 installation and create the own image using some third party like Acronis software.

  • How can satellite L300-19U - I reinstall Vista without having to work the DVD player?

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-19U.

1 month ago I installed Windows XP on it and it is now my DVD-ROM is broken, he did not read some CD DVD so I can't use my Vista recovery DVD reinstall Vista. Someone at - it had the same problem?

I heard there is a partition (hiden) where recovery is on it. I'm looking for this partition. And if I find it, I can boot directly from the partition to restore Vista? If not, is there another chance to get it back?

Please help me to reinstall the Vista recovery partition!

    Hello!

The hidden partition you want to say is a feature of Windows Vista, but you can restore t Vista with this partition. The point is that the partition is also deleted because you have installed Windows XP on it.

Restore Vista without recovery disc is possible if Vista is still installed on it. You can go into the advanced boot menu, and then select Repair my computer. Then you can choose the Toshiba HDD recovery option. This is a feature that restores Vista from the second partition.
But like I said is possible with Vista installed.

Just a question: why you n t to a service provider allowed? If your laptop is still under warranty, you should get a new CD/DVD drive for free. Normally it should take only a few days and then you're able to reinstall Vista! :)

  • Can satellite L300 - I upgrade Vista SSD?

I'm looking to upgrade a L300 Vista to SSD. Has anyone tried to cela and what SSD for what they recommend?

In my opinion, you should update you with Win7 32 bit on SSD. A long time ago I installed Win7 32 bit on friends Satellite L300. The laptop works much better with Win7.

Upgrade SSD shouldn't be problematic. You can get the Toshiba SSD or some other manufacturers SSD.
