Can someone help me get rid of a virus that has COMPLETELY disabled on my pc which is running xp.

OK so I started my pc which is running xp, everything was normal until my desktop picture turned blue.  Then a program called MS Removal tool began to run a program by saying that it was scanned, I closed this program and I discovered that I couldn't open some programs to try to get rid of this virus as the Task Manager, avg antivirus, malware antibytes, I can't even access on my pc or files on my pc programs some of them will not even open.  Any help please.

Restart your PC and press F8 key several times and chose the mode safe mode with networking.

From there try to connect on:

And run full scan of the system.

  • Can someone help me get rid of Awesomeph?

I downloaded an ebook, but turns out that it wasn't what I expected, so I removed it. But after that, I noticed that my search engine and home page has changed. I tried to delete everything I found about the download, that I made in the Control Panel, has managed to change my search engine and home page. But every time I start up Firefox, Awesomeph home page but when I click the icon on the home page, Google (which IS my home page) was going to start.

I installed a malware software as what is recommended on sites dedicated to this problem. Scanned and remove 19 threats found, rebooted my system, but still, Awesomeph is here. What should do?

    Please take care

    • Use Firefox Reset

      • See Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules
      • Effectively, which creates a profile for the most part and removes Firefox extensions, while keeping the old profile as a copy on the desktop, where it may be needed again.
BUT it does keep the passwords and bookmarks
    • OR create a new Firefox profile

Simply remove profile removes important things like passwords and all your bookmarks.

I find when Firefox behavior will not stubbornly return to as it should be, just delete my profile Firefox does the trick. Before making such a thing I recommend to backup your bookmarks to be reinstated later.

Your Firefox profile is a file that contains all of the parameters of Firefox, extensions, modules, bookmarks and much more in it. It is created by Firefox when you first run the Firefox program. If you remove it so the next time you start Firefox, it will simply create a new - probably without any of the waste that has been modified in the last, and that is causing problems. In a system based on linux, this will be a folder named .mozilla in your home folder. To find the location of this folder in Windows, must meet a quick google where Windows stores the Firefox profile folder. Find it and delete it.

If you do not delete your profile folder, you need to reinstall the modules or extensions. The difficult bit restores your bookmarks if save them you not first - and therefore don't do this beforehand.

    Thank you!

I noticed that you "injected" some HTML into the head of the page, which contains some content. Is not a valid method! I guess you tried to use a version of 'non-script' of a meter of DoubleClick (an element of the image of an invisible pixel with a identifier unique, designed to be used somewhere in the content of the page) in the top of the page. Instead of inserting the script of this counter version.

    ...

div style = "display: inline;" >

    div>

    ...

This defective positioning can cause strange behavior of the browser, such as the movement of this element at the beginning of the body (the actual content). And since there is no enclosing element, "inline" makes no sense and will force a block of 1 no element formatted a line height in any case.

Either Paste or Insert this HTML form Object HTML somewhere on the page (it's just a little invisible pixel), or better: find the right

  • Hi my name is Vanessa, could someone help me get rid of the 'Blue Screen of Death'

I have Vista Home, 2 minutes after the start up, the blue screen appears and stop, can operate in Mode safe mode, I can't seem to download Service packs or updates McAfee antivirus software? Thank you

If everything works in Mode safe - which indicates that, for me, something that is normal (as an application) or some loading driver (material - such as video device, etc.) is the origin of the problem since those who would not charge mode without failure.

You can use MSCONFIG in safe mode to clear a lot of things that would normally load and boot into normal mode.  See if it crashes.

If it's not - start adding things back using MSCONFIG once both and restarting between each to determine if it starts crashing again and you have added back that will be the culprit.

If it plant, it could be a driver that has been recently loaded.  Maybe you enabled Microsoft update to install a new video or audio driver driver or driver of network or something.  You can go through each of those in safe mode and see if you can roll back the driver for each of them, one at a time, to an earlier version.  Start in normal mode after each fold and see if find you stability.  All that you can't cancel them were not being updated since you have the system. ;-)

It is a good starting point.

For a more complete list of things, commissioning...

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

You want to scan your system to see if you actually have some virus/malware?

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

  • Can someone help us get COMMENTS SETTING TOOL to work as described in Acrobat Pro XI?

Our company seeks to pass on comments on paper to electronic shared reviews, and Adobe XI has been selected. (Window 8, Acrobat XI) However, we have a lot of difficulties.

Our problem is that we would be able to join the small files (Word, jpeg, etc.) during the send it for shared review as described in the videos and the online help.

What we have experienced is the following:

    1. a reviewer attaches the file using comments trombonepublishes comments and then closes.

    2. when they, another appraiser or the initiator opens the document, the name of the file to 'Unknown' changes and the name of the file with the extension appear in the Description in the list of attachments. This makes the unopenable file.

Everyone knows this?  During the initial period while the file name always appears under the name in the list of attachments, it is pensionable.  When this name is placed on the Description field, it is lost.

    Here's how we do it:

    1. Choose the paperclip in the comments - Annotations
    2. Choose the location in the document and click it to select it.
    3. Select the file in the popup box and click Open.
    4. Click OK to select the icon and it is placed in the document.  File name now appears in the list of attachments in the left side of the document.  Using the simple arrow (right), it shows the attributes (name, Description, change, size, size compressed) the name appears under the name, the Description is empty, the size compressed, size and update the fields are filled out. Given that everything is finished, press on post comments.
    5. When the initiator or other reviewer opens, the name is unknown and the name of the file is now under Description and there is no way to identify the file or open it.

Can someone please help us with what we're doing wrong?  They make it sound so simple, but nothing don't we try works. It was one of several features that direction really wanted.

    Thank you, Diane

  • MRT.exe ate my photos. Can someone help me get back them?

I am running Windows XP service pack 3.  I keep all my photos on a separate hard drive in its own file labled photos.  According to this hard disk a file arrived on labled 00f3f1d25bf937f91f.  When I looked inside this file, it shows that it contains a file called MRT.exe dated 05/17/2011.  As it has been bothering me not let him alone.  Unfortunately however today my mouse, which can be a bit tempemental, rather than open the file of the photo, which was immediately next to this file, moved the photo file to the folder labled 00f3f1d25bf937f91f and won't let me open it.  I tried to move the picture on the 00f3f1d25bf937f91f file, but the system is in place with access denied.  If I look at the properties of the photo file I can even if I can't open it, it shows the size of file as being zero byte.  Can anyone tell how I recover my photos?  I guess they are there somewhere the extrnal HDD is provided by Seagate and on my directory is called FreeAgent drive. It is not used for anything else other than a backup of hard drive that I did not run for a few weeks so wherever the photos went to what they always be you somewhere.
Besides the above, I'm under full AVG anti virus with firewall suite etc. so I don't know I need anyway this program MRT.exe.  I seem to have three versions of the present on the hard disk at different times.  I have not looked to see where he may have repeated itself.

    Hi kirkleas,

MRT.exe is the process for Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

  • CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET THE CPU TO QUIT RUNNING AT 100 WITHOUT A RUNNING PROGRAM? What is going on? Help!

I just bought a laptop about four months ago.  The processor works 100% now with absolutely NOTHING running.  Microsoft answers this question?  I have critical documents on this computer and do all my work on the internet but I'm not a computer person.  I barely know anything about software, but I started CPU research because its knocking out my computer and causing it to run hot.  What does windows do?  I need this problem is resolved or I guess that Windows can refund me the cost of a new cell phone to destroy mines and this making it a useless piece of junk.   Does anyone have an answer?  Or should all go us to Apple?

Malware is the more likely choice.

    Quick fix:

    • disconnect from the internet (if you have no malware, you don't want no computer talking to the internet)
    • Log in as an administrator.
    • Start the Task Manager,
    • Click "show processes from all users."
    • Click the CPU column header to sort the processes by the use of the CPU, click to get the maximum at the top
    • Now, you will see, if all goes well the task that uses resources.

If you recognize it, you might try to end the process. It may restart automatically.

If you want to know what is running, download Sysinternals Process Explorer better. It gives much more information: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-sysinternals-tools-you-shouldn ' t-being-without/2033
