Can't access some emails received on my PC - they are displayed, but cannot be opened

All emails are displayed on the home page. However, as of last week, e-mails have become inaccessible. They do not show a preview when I click once. And when I double-click on these emails, they share their locations since the last email that I had looked at.

Try to rebuild the troubled folder index file.

  • Got the Trojan.Zbot before the antivirus kicks. All previous emails show they are there but cannot see the content. They can be restored?

    All old emails show they are there, but there is no content when you try to open them.

    right click on the folder, select Properties, and then on the button repair. A new index will be generated which can fix the issue or do the empty emails disappear because they are no longer available to be indexed.

    BTW look in your anti virus program for files quarantined with names like Inbox

    E-mail messages can have attachments (such as documents) that I don't want to receive. But there are also a lot of attachments that seem to be icons of logo. Include specific company logo, facebook, twitter etc. I'm afraid that they add to the demand for storage and will also effect the speed of loading of emails.     Please keep in mind, I'm not very tech savvy.

    The icons have been added as part of the e-mail. You cannot change what someone else puts in their e-mail.

    If you already have the setting for not showing remote content then you should not see the icons in the content of the e-mail, but you will see empty boxes with a broken link icon, where the icons were positioned.
    This has no effect on the reading of the attachments.

    You can use one of the methods is to read these messages using plain text instead of HTML.

    • View > Message body as > plain text

    If you mean there several icons are added as attachments - no content - more the actual document you want to read.

    I beg of you.  Another tip.  If you use Hotmail from the Web site (which has been renamed Outlook.com), you can use the Archive button on the toolbar at the top.  The first time you use it, it will ask you which folder you want to move the messages archived at.  It should not be called "Archive".

    I recently got roadrunner as my Internet service provider.  I'm unable to access any Web site other than the home pages of MSN & Yahoo.  When I try to access any other nested web site (i.e. Favorites) I get a can't connect message.  According to roadrunner, it's a problem of mircosoft software as their cheque for their system shows no problem.  Someone can help or should I get another ISP.

    Oh yes, I also have a hotspot to verizon as a secondary ability that I can use without any problems.

    I recently changed my home to infinity of BT broadband.  Now I can't access my email works through outlook over a VPN.  The signin VPN works ok, I can see my network co., but can not use outlook.   I get the following error at startup of outlook.

I had a pc using Windows Vista and I served my Windows Mail e-mail program.  The computer has stopped working so I removed the hard drive, put it in a case and now use it as an external drive.  My new computer, I took possession of the Documents and Settings folder, and I'm looking for emails.  I followed the path, Documents and Settings / / AppData / Local / Microsoft / Windows Mail but there are 2 folders, backup & stationery as well as a few small files.  Where I could hide my email? Please, I beg you.

    There should be a directory called local folders under the message store and eml files organized into folders named after the directories under this directory are.  They may be hidden files, so make sure that you have enabled the display of hidden files and folders under control panel | Folder options | View.  You can also try to search *.eml, because messages are stored as eml files.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background.

    I have a problem with one of the computers on my network.

    Some Web sites will not load on one of the computers (although on all others).  The behavior is either it load so slow that it does not (speedtest.net) or it expires entirely (skype.com). This problem persisted for several months (it is one of the computers of my colleague and I administer the network and machines in our office).

    I checked things:

    1. this problem occurs in IE, Chrome and FireFox

    2. it does not occur if I use a web proxy such as hide.me

    3. it is persistent even in SafeMode with network.

    4. ipconfig/all parameters are the same between this machine and the other without a problem.

    5. the problem with Windows Firewall disabled.

    6 ipconfig/flushdns does not solve the problem.

    7. no viruses or malware were found.

    8. on those ping timeout works very well (skype.com with ~ 140ms)

    I'm really running out of things I can think beyond trying to reinstall Windows, but I prefer not to do so.  Are there possible ideas?

    I suggest you run Internet Explorer in no Add-ons mode and check if it helps, here are the steps:

    1. click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the box to start the search.

    2 click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without Add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.

    3 test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.

    In recent weeks, I've been unable to access one of my favorite sites. I can also access some features of the iTunes app which worked fine before (in the iTunes Store). I can't access my antivirus tech support either. I called my IPS and there is nothing wrong with that. They were able to access the site, I couldn't, so the site is not offline. I tried the Fixit, but it did not help. My IPS technology had me run a check of the computer and it says that the site was very good but it does not communicate with my computer or my computer does not communicate with him.  Why is this happening all of a sudden? I tried everything and nothing works. I can access the site of the library computer and access all the features in the iTtunes store but I don't want to continue to use the computer in the library when I have a perfectly good home. Nothing has changed in my settings will be why my computer thus contacted some sites and not others? I'm seriously frustrated by that. Someone at - it any suggesttions that I have not tried?
