  You will have to reset the BIOS. Look in this upgrade and the sevice manual under remove the side panel and the use of the mother board specifications document (clear the BIOS settings).

  For security reasons, your PC must be disconnected before performing the following procedure

  1. temporarily jumper CLR_CMOS value pin 2-3

  2. wait 5-10 seconds, and then return the jumper on pins 1-2.

  3. When you start the PC, you will need to enter the BIOS Setup to reset your custom BIOS settings. (Date/time)

  

  Once you have done this, closed the side panel and reconnected everything it's time to turn on your PC again. Everything should be back as it was before they hit the Hibernate button inadvertently.

• Can't get HP Desk jet 722C to work with Windows 7 64 bit

  I have an old HP Deskjet 722C I have used successfully for years, most recently with Vista Home Edition 32 (as well as with my XP laptop). I can't work with Windows 7 64 bit. There is no Win7/Vista drivers on the HP site for download. Bed in installs but does not print. The printer is found and installed, but nothing comes out when I try to print.

  Note that I have a parallel to USB converter on this printer, I have used / use with XP and Vista successfully.

  I see a lot of threads print say download the driver and run it in 32-bit mode to Vista. Since there is no driver to download I can't do. Convenience store is empty as well. Any other suggestions.

  FN + PageUp = F11 , then you can try this. I do not have a Surface so I can't confirm if it works. Worth a try if.

  On my system, it isn't under HP, Hewlett Packard, who does not have that from some Photosmart end model.    [Hmm, I had installed a pilot for the phanthom T series but since I did not actaully have a T series Officejet here I had not tried printing.]  [When I try to open the driver I get a different error message of yours but still not usable...]

  The last post of this thread suggests to use the drivers Officeejt R45 or Deskjet 400.  In January in this thread, I also proposed the Deskjet 890C as a substitute driver, I just installed one built into Vista and it gave no errors.

  Have you also tried to scan from your Mac? Similar problems with it?

  I wonder if it could be related to the router, you have the Officejet and Mac connected for not totally supported Hello (mDNS/Multicast).

  What you can try is first to add the printer via IP. Open on your Mac system preferences and then go to print & fax. Click the Plus sign icon to add a new queue of the printer. Then choose IP - protocoll choose HP Jetdirect taken and then insert the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the printer. Now try printing with this new created printer queue.
