Can't print envelopes

MFP HP LaserJet 1536dnf model bought in spring 2012.  Using Windows 7 64 bit.  When I select printing, he said only: cancellation on the printer screen. Have tried going into Control Panel and change the parameters inside the printer without result.  I try to print a single envelope in Word 2010.  Select Tray1.

Yes, I chose the envelopes in the properies printing and insertion was correct.  I finally understand that I had to go to the control panel of the printer and in configuration, select envelope for the size and type of paper, then tray one.  The envelope is then printed.

  • Can't print envelopes #10

Looking at all the blogs, this seems to be a universal problem with the 8600. It will only alow a #10 time envelope printing in Word and PS22. I want to print envelopes of card half fold. IT WILL NOT ALLOW HIM. I SHOULD BE DUMPING THE 8600 - or what?

It's very kind of you for making this gift, I didn't say that the first. Now on the printer when you print have you means by the properties of the printer paper size as well as by the program you are printing from to make sure both devices are on the same page (so to speak). Also, we just tried to remove and reinstall the printer from the Web site? I remove the software and the USB (if one is being used) and then run the software on this site:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=4323659

Then when the cord is called to connect USB again. Finish the installation and make sure that the firmware is up to date. Let me know and I'll get back in touch with you!

  • Black printing envelopes

Have an iMac, running the latest OS - bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 - When I try to print an envelope, the result is a totality of the black envelope - crossed the steps recommended to 'repair' grey all envelopes, IE. Reset the printer, remove the printing software, fixed permissions, downloaded the 'new' printing software, installed the printer, restarted my computer - always prints all black envelope...

Recently upgraded to OS X El Capitan and I can now print envelopes without any problem. I'm guessing that it was a problem of interface between printer drivers and the previous operating system...

I can not print envelope #10: gives an error "on paper" OS10.11.4 running

Using a document separate from the Pages to the envelope size, tried several envelopes loading.

    Hi @RonD3,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a color printer HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw with a Mac OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan computer and you can not print on envelopes #10 because you get an "Out of Paper" error message I would like to help with that.

You want to make sure that you're using the envelopes recommended for laser printers only and that the envelopes are loaded correctly. The printer may not recognize the media which are not intended to be used with it. Here is a support document covering guidelines for loading and printing on envelopes - loading paper and envelopes for the HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw color printer.

Here is the document of support for seeing the message "Out of Paper" when there is paper or envelopes in tray - "on paper" Error Message is displayed and the printer is not Pick Up or paper source.

Then I would like to reinstall the driver of HP with Apple Software Update. Here is a support document which can serve as a reference if necessary - install a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Update.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 - cannot print envelopes monarch

I can't print envelopes Monarch size.  I tried MS Word and Pages (and Contacts).  The error message suggests that I have the wrong size paper in the paper tray.

PS. I'm working on a Mac

    Hi AnnMckeown,

Thanks for the information.  I would like you to try a generic driver to see if we get a different result.  Please see the procedure to do this below.  Make sure you use the driver printer deskjet 9800, because it supports the Monarch envelopes and can solve the problem.

To assign other printer drivers in OS X 10.8:

    1. Open system preferences.
    2. Click Print and Scan.
    3. Click on the + sign below the list of printers.
    4. Select the printer in the list.
    5. Click on the dropdown next to the use.
    6. Choose Select printer software... from the list.
    7. A window titled printer software.  It is the window where you select the other pilot.
    8. Choose the replacement driver just for you-deskjet 9800
    9. Click Add
    10. Click ok

Once you add the driver, try to print envelopes with her. Be sure to select the 9800 as the driver to use for printing.

    I hope this helps!

  • HP OfficeJet 4650: When you print envelopes

I bought an OfficeJet a year but, despite a search for 'on-line' manual, I can't find any information about loading and printing envelopes.  If I just load the envelope in the tray (the size of the guides adjustment) the printer screen asks "have you you load paper regular A4 - if"NO"is pressed, it just says: 'document - type A4/paper - plain paper type."  This printer is unable to print envelopes?  If possible, someone would be nice enough to indicate where I can find "an Idiots Guide to...". "Envelope of loading and printing of"!

    Thank you very much

    Jayuu

    Hi @Jayuu,

If you followed the instructions when setting up the printer and then installed the software on your computer, you should be fine.

I don't know why this link doesn't open for you. Here's another link - loading paper, cards and envelopes. If this does not work, maybe try to open it in a different web browser.

You will need to select envelope as the paper type, once the envelopes are loaded. If you tap where it shows the type of paper, like 'Letter' for example, you will finally get a long list of types of paper. You can scroll the list by dragging vertically on the screen of the printer with the finger. The different types of envelope are a way just to the bottom of the list. When you see the type of envelope you want in the list, tap on it to select it.

Once you have the desired selected envelope, you should be able to print. Here is a support document which can serve as a reference if necessary - envelopes printing (Windows).

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • 6520 cannot print envelopes

I just bought an eprint 6520. I don't have a PC or a Mac, only an iPhone and the iPad. I can print from the ePrint app, but I can not configure the printer to print envelopes. How to set the printer to make the envelopes (or other pages in size, photos) of the printer itself or through my iPad?

It's actually very easy. I did load the ePrint and remote apps AiO and mating with the 6520. But, none of these applications would not provide paper envelope in option. So, after having unloaded the printer paper and put some envelopes in the bottom tray I just clicked 'print' of the Pages App where I created my list of the envelope. I could only form 6-8 envelopes into the tray at a time, but he did print correctly.

  • You print envelopes with HP LaserJet CP1525nw color

I tried to print envelopes on our printer above.  My document is in Word is formatted accordingly for a #10 business envelope

Under the terms of the HP help function, I found the info on how to set up my document print options, then it would print correctly.

The first envelope printed on the side of Rabat; I have reloaded in Tray 1 and was ready.

The second envelope printed with success so I thought that I understood.  So, I loaded the tray paper with 5 envelopes, hoping to print them massively.  I couldn't get it work when I tried to print 4 at a time.  I got a "Paper jam in tray 2" error and I was not yet using tray 2.  I erased the 'problem' and AN envelope printed with success, then I got the same error message.

I had 2 envelopes more printed this way, but every time I got the same error message, erasing the machine and 1 printed envelope.

Frustrated, I cancelled the multiple print job and tried to print envelopes one by one.  Now it does not at all even if I delete the phantom paper jam every time.

Can anyone help with this?  It makes me nutty.

Background info: my husband (network engineer) install the printer.  I have over 20 years of experience in processing and usually have good results with appearing on printing problems.  It left me speechless!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Dianne

The CP1525 allows you to print envelopes. There are two ferries, which can be used. I will describe using only the lower tray. Normally, this tray is used for standard paper.  To use the letter envelopes, you must remove the tray and then make some changes. Remove all paper. There are supporters of blue color paper. Two are used for the width of paper. Move the cursor to the Center so that it will load the envelope with the top to the left. Put the envelope with the printable side upward and the top to the left. Slide the blue paper holders so that they touch the top and bottom. Then push the envelope completely backwards and then move the holder unique blue paper in the front to make it against the envelope. You're ready to print as much as the printer.

I select the printer properties. I indicate that I am printing an envelope. I had also to indicate the landscape. I also had to move the appropriate print areas where I want to be. Then I added my address and the address to where they're going. I'm not sure that I have everything but it should work well.

I only did this, but you can use two trays with one who holds a number of pages and the other for a certain number of envelopes.

  • HP 7525: Loading & printing envelopes A10 - getting started

I was not able to locate instructions for loading and printing of envelopes. Where to start?

Are there templates or do I use trial and error with a word processor, guessing where printing can appear when I fed an envelope?

With the help of Windows 8 and primitive processor, MS Wordpad.

Feed envelopes into the tray paper, or from the top of the charger page? Rabat open or closed?

Anyone know where the signs for this can be found?

    Thank you.

    Happy new year.
