Can't remove password BIOS on Satellite 3000-504

Hello

I erased the password BIOS Toshiba Satellite 3000-504 upgrade the BIOS on this computer. So I went to the BIOS > entered the old password > enterd twice (input x 2) empty new password and after that I reset computer.

After computer restart once again was asked to provide the password, but the old password and empty password was not correct. And now I can't get into BIOS and boot the computer.

Any suggestions, what happened and what can I do now?

Concerning
Lukasz

I put t know what was coming, but we're not sure: you have big problem now. If please contact allowed in your country and allow them to remove the BIOS password. It will cost you, but unfortunately, you have no choice.

To be honest I don t understand this. If you just understand that you can use your laptop and bypass the BIOS password if you turn the notebook on power only, right?
But with the battery inside it start and ask BIOS password?

    Hello!

I have a portable Satellite Pro M30 and my son has changed my bios password and now I can't even start it! How can I reset the bios? Where is the bios battery out of MB, then reset as in desktop? Is there a jumper for the deal if all else fails? What should I try?

    Thank you all in advance.

    Hello John

Remove the CMOS battery didn't help much. If the removal of the BIOS can be so easy, remove the password on the stolen units may be too simple. Please don? t wait that these information will be posted here.

You can contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner. They will remove password for you.

    Good luck!

BIOS password is characteristic of very important security and the methods and means how to remove it can be themed on the public forum.
Every stolen laptop could be 'unlocked' so this theme is "dangerous."

Anyway, what you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can cancel BIOS password for you.

    Hello

I presume you are looking for the pilot to host SM controller.

    There is a solution;
    Go to this page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

    Choose:
Archive Archive of Satellite Satellite 30xx Satellite 3000-504 Windows XP

Here, you must download the * Media Smart driver for XP version 1.0.0.802 *.

  • How to remove password BIOS (Satellite A30) - Please help

Hello. In the company I work, there is a Toshiba Satellite A30 having a BIOS password.

I was asked to remove the password and, inside the BIOS, I was able to clear the password (at least that is what I thought at first):

BIOS asked the current password and I typed, then requested a new password and I just pressed the ENTER key, and when I was asked to retype the new password I pressed ENTER again.

After that, I saw that BIOS showed "PASSWORD (clear)" and I saved the changes and exit.

To my surprise, I was asked a password even once, I just pressed the ENTER key and it showed an "INCORRECT PASSWORD" message and the same message when I type the old password!

I don't know if there was a password of Toshiba when the computer was purchased, but the manual that I downloaded here does not mention that.

Is there a way to fix this? I do not understand what can happen!

VERY GOOD THANKS in ADVANCE and thanks again for reading.

    Hello

If the correct password is not for you there is no way to remove them. It can be removed only by the authorized service partner. Please contact them and they will do it for you. I guess it can't be expensive.

    Hello
I don't have a direct answer to your question.
However, note that you should be able to access (as I usually do) the bios settings from windows xp to toshiba console utility.
As long as it works with you, it can help you to work around the problem and make adjustments to your settings.
(I have another satellite, but I think tehir are similar on this function)

I am not connected as a guest in the bios, but as a user I think with my windows password some how, even though I have already uninstalled all that shit.

  • Where can I buy a motherboard for Satellite 3000 514?

I need to replace the card mother (?), mother (?) on my Toshiba Satellite S3000-514.

Question: Where can I go to buy the motherboard?

Question 2: How much in pounds sterling can I expect to pay?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I found this site with the motherboard for a Satellite 3000 series but it seems that the Satellite 3000 514 is not listed.
    http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Toshiba, Laptop, K000816560.aspx,

I m not 100% sure, but I think that the 3000 series was delivered with the same motherboard.
But before you buy anything, you should ask Toshiba authorized service partner for a more details. Guys should be able to also order a compatible Board directly from Toshiba.

I think you're on the good side, if you ask the opinion of the service provider.

But as you can see the motherboard is expensive and eventually you might find a second-hand surfboard.

The screen is frozen on Toshiba official screen.

    You have an idea?

    Thank you

I assume that allows you to enter the F2 BIOS settings.
You can enter the advanced startup options with F8 menu or start using F12?
