  I have a RHEL VM running on a host Windows XP using Workstation 7.1.4. I have installation Bridged networking for my VM and I gave the virtual machine a static IP address on my network. I ping the VM from other computers on my network, but I have problems try to ssh in the virtual machine. If I ssh between the host and the guest VM I can win with success however, access ssh'ing of any another computer does not work. I use Putty to ssh on Windows and I tried on another RHEL box as well.   first things first:

  Go to the virtual network editor - select VMNET0 and change the drop-down list of 'bridging auomatic' to the NIC physical to use for vmnet0.

  The automatic bypass does not work reliable on almost any installation - especially those with more than 1 physical network adapter.

  I see you are using a McAfee NDIS filter - this is another candidate in trouble. Try to disable it and see if that makes a difference

  What, in particular, looking to sync with the Mac iCloud? If you mean things like Contacts, calendars, Notes, etc., then you want to go in under the  system preferences, click the iCloud and connect to iCloud there with your iCloud ID. Then select which items you want to sync'd via iCloud.

  in the ESXi console, run esxtop... you see the functioning of the virtual machine?

  If this isn't the case, you can restart management agents in the ESXi and you will be able to turn on the virtual machine again.

I have a particular virtual machine that I transferred autour storage that has a total of 3 VMDK, all on separate LUNS. As soon as I moved them all in the right place, where I wanted them, I can't turn on the virtual machine because it says there is no space available on the device. I am trying to boot the machine with 4 GB of memory, the boot LUN more than 400 GB free on it. The other two LUNS have 225 MB, and 192 MB of free space. I can only start the machine if I change the memory of 192 MB or less. I know that problems with the file exchange and memory overhead, but this virtual machine has always run with these two LUNS with very little space. I can only assume it is somehow related to the storage vmotion. The pagefile is set to store the virtual machine and I'm still having the problem. Need help.

  It's too generic to mean anything. The application is hidden the real error message. You got when you did the tnsping and obtained "TNS-12535: TNS:operation has expired. Now THAT's an error.

  This indicates a problem firewall and routing. You said earlier you could ping the server, but now we see tnsping fails. Two different protocols of usage, so that both the successful ping turns out a valid physical path, it guarantees not that all traffic will pass. What happens with

  For some reason VMware Tools is not installed correctly (for example files from previous versions are left inside the hard disk).  So I have to do a manual cleaning before you reinstall the tools.

  We have recently implemented Foglight and VMware plugin. As part of the VMware plugin, Foglight pulls in all the Linux VM machines including the ESX host. Our team of Linux only manages the running redhat Linux hosts. They fail the ESX VM guest. That said, is there a way to create a view that shows only the hosts running redhat Linux?

  For example the view of rail infrastructure below contains 88 Linux machines, but nearly half of them are ESX hosts for our Linux team would not see all these. Is it possible to filter these?

  The easiest way would be to create a personalized, pair it with Infrastructure and then create a dynamic management component.  This will help create you a rule for "All hosts" where you can find just the hosts that are not of the ESX host and run Linux.

I lived about each article on this site about synchronization support and tried all the different possible combinations of signature, signature, hit the button 30 times, that sort of thing and I am now very frustrated and annoyed. I work online and I need these machines freakin ' and a web browser to work and my favorites and my passwords and my story. Anyone with (effective) words of wisdom would be appreciated, thanks.

  Thank you for your question. I understand that the third computer will not sync.

  I came across this last week as well when I change the password and add a test profile. That's what I did:

  1. Removed from the account Options/Preferences > Sync
  2. I've compiled a profile folder, do this a habit of losing the school documents.
  3. Added the account again and went to accounts.firefox.com
  4. Logged on this page and I saw the "your sync will begin momentarily.
  5. Waited about 5 minutes for the first synchronization by default.
  6. Then you click on tools > synchronize now

  After that I saw my data and everything was in sync with the other profiles.
