  • Can't use the product key to activate Windows 8

    Original title :-2147023450

Because my new phone Samsung (which has been activated online) does not have a product key Windows 8 I download Belarc, which shows the product key.

I used this product to update key.  Microsoft has refused to acknowledge this product key.

This key cannot be used to activate Windows 8. In addition, your new laptop Samsung if it came preloaded with Windows 8 should already be enabled. The only thing you had to do was to connect to the Internet and it would activate automatically.

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

If you have problems activating, try to do a Reset and attempt to activate again:

    You have two options:

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

  • System was originally shipped with Windows 7, I had fixed it, but the operating system has been changed to XP. Can I use the product key on the side to reinstall Windows 7?

Reinstalling windows 7 after re-start of windows xp

I bought my Asus computer came with windows 7 installed, earlier this year, I encountered a problem with the blue screen to come and I was unable to fix it, when I had my computer repaired they changed the operating system to windows xp, I was wondering if with registration # or whatever is on the side if I could download and reinstall Windows 7

If the product key on the side of your machine is for Windows 7 and where-ever you guessed it "repaired" installed Windows XP - the real question becomes where they got a product key for Windows XP?

You have the installation media for the copy of Windows 7 OEM which is preinstalled on your computer?

If not - you will probably need to contact Asus (this laptop?) over media restore and/or check to see if the "repair" left any which restoration method should have been used intact.

  • Can I use the product key Windows 8.1 on a pc and a laptop?

I recently bought a full version of Windows 8.1 where I live. It came with 2 separate disks.  One for the 64 bit version and one for the 32-bit version. I also received a product key.

I upgraded a desktop PC to Windows 7 with the 64-bit version of Windows 8.1.

My laptop is only about 2 years old and is pre-installed with Windows 7, and now I think of the upgrade that one to 8.1 Windows also.

What I want to know is that if compatible can install Windows 8.1 since the discs I already have and use the same product key to activate Windows 8.1 on my laptop, even though I already used it on the desk?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

No, the license is for a Windows installation that can be either 32 or 64-bit, but
not one of the two. So it is only for the office.

    I hope this helps.

    Vista to XP question

Can I use the product windows XP from my old CPU key to downgrade my new processor from Vista to XP?

N ° decommissioning requires installation of XP from an XP installation cd and a retail product key.  If XP is preinstalled on the old computer, the product key on the label is valid for the copy of XP OEM is installed on your old computer, even if it is still on the old computer.   An OEM license is not transferable to any other computer.

Before you plan to install XP on your new computer you must visit the manufacturer's Web site to see if the XP drivers are also available.
