Hello

· What is the model number of the walkman?

You can copy music from walkman to computer files by connecting it as a storage device. See the link below: transfer music using Windows Explorer: http://esupport.sony.com/docs/portable/NWZE353-E354-E355/4192093111/eng/contents/02/03/01/01.html

  • The problem "your current security settings do not allow this action" when I want to open the swf file in Windows Media Player.

How to solve the problem when I want to open the swf file in windows media player? There, half year, when I click on a swf file, it could automatically play in Windows Media Player.

Now when I want to open a SWF with Windows Media Player, it pops up a window "your current security settings do not allow this action".

How to use watch the video in Windows Media Player swf?

    Hello

SWF is a file format for multimedia, vector graphics and Action Script in the Adobe Flash environment. Origin with future Wave Software, then transferred to Macromedia and then coming under the control of Adobe, SWF files can contain animations or applets of varying degrees of interactivity and function.

SWF functions as the dominant vector "animation" on the Web for graphics display format. It can also be used for programs, games by browser commonly, using ActionScript.

    Method 1:

I suggest open he file in Internet Explorer and check to see if you encounter the same problem.

    Method 2:

  • Cannot delete file in windows Media Player

I can delete video files from Windows Media Player. I think that I deleted them before somehow but standard photos (balloon, balloons) always appear in video library for all deleted files and try right-click and delete is not remove them from the library. There is no error message when you try to remove them and when you try to play them you get Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. I don't want to play the file I want to just delete it.

You probably need to reset the library to get rid of the files in the library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt.

  • Cannot delete files from Windows Media Player library.

    Original title: deleting files problem

I deleted a large number of music of my WMP library & computer files, but they are still listed in WMP. I can't play any of them as they were deleted, and I get a message telling me so when I try! Why are they still displayed in the list and how do I get rid of them? I tried to restart, changing the target folder, etc., without change. I even tried to remove all of the library (but not the computer this time) and they do not always go!

    Hi Jamie,

Welcome to Microsoft Community where you can find all the answers related to Windows.

According to the description provided, looks like you are not able to completely remove the files in Windows Media Player.

I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve this problem.

You can try to clear the database of Windows Media Player and check if it clears the titles and generic icons.

To do this, follow these steps:

    Method 1:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player in the start search box and enter.

    3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Method 2:

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the start search box and enter.

3 select the folder Media Player, and then click delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  • Unable to read the .avi files with Windows Media Player 11 on XP

Original title: Media player upgrade was worse than basic
I recently updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 and now it won't play movies from AVI file that I used to be able to play easily on the outdated version. Why is this?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when you try to play with Media Player AVI files?

When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, Windows Media Player attempts to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the
Codec is available, the Windows Media Player installed on your computer, and then bed file. However, if the codec is not available on the server (for example, because)
the codec not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec.

In some cases, the file you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with Windows Media Player. When this happens, you may be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.

  • Cannot read the CD in the CD/DVD drive after having burned the audio files in Windows Media Player

I burned an audio cd with windows media player, it works on my computer but not on a cd player (I tried several players). Any ideas what I could do wrong?

    Original title: Windows Media Player

    Hello

Please check the format to which the disk was burned. If the drive is made to a data disc format, several readers of cd or dvd will not be able to read its contents. In order for a disc in a cd player, it must be created in a format supporting by the player, which varies according to different manufacturers.

  • I have a problem with adding and deleting files in Windows Media Player.

Media Player will not play the selected files but then goes on to play other files. When I delete the files from the media player and try re - add I get the message "the media player is installed incorrectly. Have tried to reinstall media player, but it always fails at the implementation stage. It seems that the link between the player and the music files has been corrupted. Further, I have not found another way to read these files! They are referred to as Windows media audio files. Is that mean that only Media Player can read? I have hundreds of music files. Any help please? I can't upgrade XP on this computer so intended to stick with it for another year or so.

  • Cannot change the location of the RIP file in Windows Media Player after losing Windows Home Server

I got my place to rip on my windows-based server that had catestrophic failure. So I went to another WHS that I have. But since then, I could not change the location of the file rip in my Media Player.

It seems that the problem is that it fails to find the location of the old server, gone, when I switch to tab EXTRACT music in WMP options. I say this because it take a long time to draw only a tab. And when I click the button change under music Rip to this place, it does nothing. I get no errors, but nothing happens. It is as if I never pressed the button. There is no delay or anything. And I can go and do other things immediately.

How can I convince Media Player than the location should not be verified so I can put a new location to rip music to?

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. I tried the steps you recommended. But unfortunately, it has not changed the problem.

However, she, it was pretty clear that something of the old MSS was always in the way. You could tell by the delay that made the selection of menu. So I went in MP, to organize - manage the music library. And sure enough, still listed as the default location is the old MSS. I've selected and tap on delete. Without delay, he removed and automatically changed the default location to a local drive. Problem solved! Now I can put my location of rip at ESM again and all is well again.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Why NOT write the TAG ID information for the associated file? Windows Media Player 12

I don't like iTunes and WMP12 looks worse.  Here's my problem...

I edit the media information (sing or film etc...) by changing some information tag - track number, title etc...  Even when I select "Apply media information changes" in the "menu to organize the information of the tag does not change when I watch it by clicking the file and selecting Properties."  What gives?  I won't waste my time making sure that everything is organized and labeled correctly just so that WMP not attached this information in a file.  What worries me is that when I import the songs to another PC then all these information is lost.
For example, I change the title of the track (you will need to change the title of the track, so WMP it sorts correctly because it does not support CD # in a multiple-CD box set)
    CD1 Title track 1
    CD1 Title track 2
    ...
    CD2 Title track 1
    CD2 Title track 2
    ...
When I look at the file - nothing changes - UG!
