Can WRT54G and XP with WINDOWS/7 on the same network?
I run a wireless home network using a LINKSYS
WRT54G 2.4GH, connecting a desktop computer and a
laptop, both running WINDOWS/XP SP3. The
laptop recently crashed and I need to replace
soon. The office is running OK, but is also quite
old and will probably be replaced enough
soon.
I have a big thing in area shopping

involved in a replacement. Assuming that I have

to replace the notebook now and wait to replace
the desktop computer. Assuming that this sequence:

WRT54G? Wouldn't not possible (and smarter) to
replace the WRT54G now with something that could
be used now and in the future when the
Desktop is replaced?
-Can I get a laptop that comes with
XP and is expandable (at reasonable cost) to
7? Or that it will be possible to run with 7 on the
laptop while I am still running XP the
desktop computer? I don't think that 7 running on the desktop
is an option, because it has a limited memory
Although I suppose I could upgrade the memory.
Should I still who?
Should I cross-post this to others

Hello
Cable/DSL wireless router are stand alone devices that are supported on any computer with Ethernet networking capabilities (cable or wireless).
All versions of Windows + Apple + Linux may run together when connecting to a router as the WRT54, and/or routers newer wireless for the end user.

I am trying to install 2 new computers running Windows 7 on one network of 12 others who are running Windows XP, do all need to have the same operating system? I have a printer connected to the computer and cannot access it from my other computers.
You can have virtually any network operating system support on computers on a particular network. The only thing you can't do with Windows 7 computers in a mixed-OS situation is using the new "Homegroup" feature, because it's for Windows 7 only.

I installed Lightroom CC CC on Macbook Yosemite 10.10.3 running App. It says it is installed, but the attempts to open it get only a snapshot of the screen flash, then nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but get the same result.
I can assure you that disconnect from creative cloud and reconnect works, like the post above.
Adobe: Creative cloud must die a horrible death. Bring regular return of your product licenses. CC has been nothing other than a nightmare.

Can I run a 32 bit AND 64 bit Windows Vista on the same computer version?
I have laptop SONY VAIO 64 bit and a new digital microscope that has a driver 32-bit. I can't the microscope to work and it is not a driver 64 bits for the microscope. Their tech support suggested the installation of a 32-bit version of Vista on the laptop. Can I do this and still keep the 64 bit version of Vista as my main operating system. This suggestion is practical or even possible?
Hello
You can double vista 32-bit and 64-bit on your computer
BUT you would need to BUY the 32-bit operating system vista to install it
and Microsoft sells more Vista
they switched to Windows 7
and what you want to do with your time if it's for work, because you will constantly change the operating system to use if you use 64-bit for most of your work

You can play with two players on the same conlsoe on modern war
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Hi Capcurt,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
You try to play the game live with 2 players on the same console?
Unfortunately, you can not go online with two people on the same console. Modern Warfare 2 allows a user to sign in when you play in multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 2 is a completely new game mode that supports 2-player cooperative play in single line of the solo campaign in history. To do this, you will need two machines.
For better support, you can contact Xbox Forums.

can I media share with Windows 7 and Windows Vista?
I have a computer that has Windows 7 on it, and my sister has a computer with Windows Vista. We can share files, if so how?
Hi the Itallien Stallion,
You can share files and folders in many different ways. The most common way to share files in Windows is to share them directly from your computer. Windows provides two methods for sharing files in this way: you can share files from any folder on your computer or from the Public folder. Method you use depends on where you want to store the shared folders, that you want to share with, and the degree of control you want to have the files. Or the alternative method allows you to share files or folders with someone using your computer or another computer on the same network. If you are looking for other ways to share, this article also has several other methods that you can use.
Once the computers are connected to the network, you can share your files and folders.

You say that you have started from the XP CD, but something is wrong with that
you do. Just boot from the CD and follow the prompts for a
clean install. A new installation by formatting the

Yes.

If you have Windows 7 with an OEM license agreement (it came pre-installed on the computer is the most likely scenario for this, but you can buy OEM copies so) or you have a license to retail (upgrade or full version) - the way your question is worded is very specific - you * can * install Windows 7 costs/clean on this same system as much as you wish. A new hard drive won't stop you activation - well that at some point, you need to activate by phone, as opposed to over the Internet.
Now - if the motherboard is replaced and it's licensed OEM and replacement was not that of the OEM that probably set up your computer... Then you have a problem.
Unless you happen to have a license of Windows 7 retail sales, so it is not related to the computer (motherboard).
