  You can not. Two Apple factor authentication is a feature of iOS and OS X, based on your AppleID being associated with iCloud account to send and receive authentication 6-digit codes. An AppleID that is not associated with iCloud account cannot be used for 2-factor authentication.

  We just bought the new Apple TV and a second remote so that the kids could play multiplayer games. The first remote control paired very well when we put in place, but I can't do the second pair distance.  I went through the user guide, but haven't found anything that helps (although could be the dominant in the post-holiday lethargy).  Any advice?
