Cannot access CD-ROM to copy files or copy pictures on a disc. D; \is is not accessible. Incorrect function. Is the message I get. How can I fix this problem please?

I get the message; D; ------isn't function of accessible.incorrect, whenever I try to copy anything either on a disk in the CD-rom Drive.I can play discs on the device, but if I try to ask a folder or my photo gallery, get the same message.  How can I fix this, please?  Stan shorts
