Cannot access files and folders after removing the Trojan horse of my Vista computer
I have Vista. I can't access the folders and files of one of my user accounts. The Office for this account seems to have nothing about it. I was able to confirm that the folders and files are still on my computer but I can't open them. I get a RunDLL error when you connect to this ACCT.
With the help of McAfee, I found Artemis Trojan horse on my computer and I think I have removed.
How can I get my computer back to normal?

I have a Toshiba laptop older, bought in a shop of second hand computer, running XP Home. I have no "Setup disk.
I get this pop-up message: "the application or DLL C:\Windows\system32\qnwzuc.dll is not a valid Windows image. "Please check this against your installation diskette."
I also get about 20 pop different messages, like this: Image Bad - Isass.exe, bad Image - OSA9.exe, bad Image - msimn.exe, mbamgui.exe, bad - services.exe and so on
Just download and run StopZilla, which found Trojan called TDSS and removed him, but these messages are unchanged.
The computer is much slower that used to be, sometimes turns off automatically.

If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned, the first thing I have with it would be to reinstall the operating system itself. You know not how the computer has been maintained, which has been incorrectly installed, what is missed, what virus and spyware, there may be, etc. I would not live with someone of another errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc, and I would not recommend anyone else to do.
Your choice of course, but in my opinion, you're playing with fire if you reinstall Windows properly.

To try to get rid of some Trojans, I seem to have changed a setting on my pc. Trying to access my online bank account, the homepage accepts my ID and password, but when I fill the page next (with the drop down menu 3 letters), I am sent initially. I can't clear the checkpoint.
I have changed and how can I solve this problem?

You mean that other users do not have their own user accounts?
They all connect to your own account? If they all have their own user account to log on, they can't see your personal files, unless...
1. your files in public folders.
2. they have your password to login to your own account. So, please clarify.

I have two problems that first will not to day and exe. files as well as several other programs will not work after removing six Trojans today. I got the old fake security / you're not protected message led me to run McAfee and anti-malware that I solved the problem. It allowed me to meet Explorer but I tried to open the accessories of the calculator and it will not work, nor will my Rossetta stone. I can open these types of files under other users account on this computer. Help please.
I suggest that you create a new user account for yourself (save all your files first of all that I hope are not damaged etc.). Then, you delete the old user account (but keep the files). Probably most of the programs have been installed for all users, so it should not be (I hope) a problem.
Recently had to clean a computer infected with one of these software etc. rogue security and creating a new account (Administrator) so that the user has finished up and transfer its files to the new account. He was lucky. I hope you are too.
Perhaps others may have other suggestions for you.
Please make sure that the computer is clean of any infection etc.

Cannot copy files and folders to another folder
Whenever I try to COPY a group of files and folders 1 folder to another folder, Vista wants only to allow me to MOVE them. What is my problem?
Select the files to copy (using the command CTRL to select more than one non sequential order) and once they are all chosen type CTRL-C. Then move to the folder where you want to copy and click header file and type CTRL-V. Perhaps this method of copying files won't work where others do not.
I hope this helps.
Good luck! Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

Only certain files and folders appear in the homegroup
I use Win7 Pro and I have my setup homegroup to share my videos and photos.
I record TV on the same PC and access these recordings via DLNA on my Samsung TV (I have two different Samsung TVs). The PC is just an entry on TVs.
The issue I'm having is that when I sail (on TV) to the folder (on the PC) which contains files, * the * files appear in this folder, some do not. For example, currently, there are 5 files in my folder of DVR, all thanks to the homegroup (I added the domain 'Shared with' in Windows Explorer so I can easily see). Of these 5 files, only 3 appear when you browse the files on the PC of the TVs. The same 3 files appear on both PC, aren't the same 2. All 5 files have been saved by the same Application, and all have the same shared parameters.
In the past, I was able to remedy this problem by moving the files, and then back into the folder. Then they show up. Now, however, this trick does not worlk. I have run the shooter-t several times, rebooted several times etc. Nothing works anymore. I see the same thing in two TV.
If I shared the DVR record thanks to the homegroup, why only some files appear?
Anyone has an idea why I see this?
Thank you

We want to exclude the character of AppData\Roaming\test_*.doc or AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Flash #SharedObjects and we have added to the list of exclusions, but they keep ending upward in the repository. Other exclusions are working as expected. What we should expect?
If wildcards work, it would also be nice to be able to exclude AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ * \minidumps
Hi Eric,.
Character does not currently support the use of wildcard characters in the configuration options. For example, "AppData\Roaming\test_*.doc" and "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ * \minidumps" will not work. However, I myself have tested 'AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Flash #SharedObjects' with 5.2 and it works very well. Please note that "Files and folders excluded from roaming" not delete all existing files in the remote folder. It simply prevents the files in the remote folder to be created in the local folder during logon, and it prevents any changes in the local folder from replication to the remote folder. This allows to turn off the setting and return the original data if you need to.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you
Erik

Original title: unlock files locked in the residential-change group of security settings does not (always says that I don't have permission even if I am Admin)
I have a Windows 7 operating system. I am new to congregate. I recently noticed that I was connected to a House Group 'network' and so I 'locked' cases to the case where I me be hacked (that I don't use other computers and thought it was strange). Unfortunately, now that I want to access these files, it says I don't have permission and when I sometimes IN a folder, by allowing permissions administrator in the Security tab, I'm still stuck to see the documents by an error saying that I don't have permission. I was rid of the congregate at a given moment, then 'active' it again with the idea that I should probably be in home group to make changes to the way they were. I know that I blew it, but I don't know how to fix it! Please help me to unlock these files! I normally log - on as an administrator (no one else assigned to the computer), so I don't understand why I can't make changes to the permissions.
Hello
(1) where the files are stored on the computer?
(2) would you move the music file to a different location/drive and check if the problem persists?
(3) what is you get the exact error message?

Important: Disable your antivirus or changed settings can make your PC vulnerable to viral, fraudulent, or malicious attacks. Microsoft does not recommend that you disable your antivirus software or change settings. If you need to temporarily disable your anti-virus software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. Use this workaround at your own risk. To temporarily disable your antivirus software, see disable antivirus software
Method 2: Virus scanner
You can download Microsoft Safety scanner, which provides on-demand scan, and remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.
See the link to download Microsoft Safety scanner on the system.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Warning: The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Hope the helps of information.

I was recently given a hand computer (compaq I tthink) so I'm not clear about all the fancy stuff to the extent of the ect CPU... but I know it has windows xp pro. in any case, a friend used my computer and for some reason any felt the need to download a program called 7-zip. Now, my computer is screwed... In the start menu > all programs, everything has disappeared! And I can access the system restore in normal boot and safe mode, but the window remains empty, we never really gave me the opportunity to use it. Oh and I can't get online in normal or safe boot mod either, what can I do?
Original title: how to get rid of a virus on windows xp proremove a virus from windows xp pro
Hello
1. Why do you think that the computer is infected with the virus? See you pop - unwanted ups or odd behavior of all programs?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?
3. did you run any online scanners to remove infections?
4. What is the antivirus installed on the computer program?
Method 1: Run a scan antivirus on your computer.
www.Microsoft.com/Security/Scanner
Note: If infections are detected during the scan, there is a risk of data loss because infected files will be deleted.
Method 2: Safe mode with networking
Step 1: Check if you can browse the Internet with success in Mode safe mode with networking.
Networking Mode safe mode starts Windows in mode safe mode and includes the network drivers and services needed to access the Internet or other computers on your network.
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
Step 2: Put the computer in a State of boot is a way to know which application is causing this problem.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.
Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as shown here:
Step 2: To configure Windows to use a Normal startup state
After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.
- Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
- When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.
Method 3:
Create a new user account and verify if you are able to access the program in the start menu.
Try to connect with a different user has administrator rights account and then create a new user account.
For more information, see these links:
How to create and configure user accounts in Windows XP
How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile
I hope this helps.
