• Cannot select new fonts in the drop in InDesign CC 2015

  Drop-down list of font selection menu will not change the font for the selected type. Opens the drop-down police, this allows me to click on a font, I can use the arrow to expand the list, but it will not actually change the font in my document. It is similarly the character Panel left side. Anyone encountered this, or suggestions on how to fix it? Its incredibly frustrating and tedious. I use the more updated version of CC 2015 InDesign on Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.2. Thank you in advance for your help!

  I use Illustrator CS3 on Mac w / Tiger and FontBook. I had downloaded a 30 day trial of Suitcase Fusion 2, was not around to use it and the trial expire today. Now, when I try to open Illustrator, I have to click on past a few warning messages (don't have to do before today) and then it opens, but I can't access my fonts. FontBook is the only other Manager of fonts on my system. I ransacked and emptied the trash... no more than Suitcase Fusion.

  I do not use Suitcase Fusion but I do not use FontXplorer of Linotype. They are very similar in function. Looks like when you installed the trial and initially implemented, suitcase moved your fonts in its font Vault. Suitcase manages a database to access the vault of the police and which is probably the reason that your fonts are not available at the outset. If the suitcase did not move your fonts (in other words, the fonts are the same as before the installation of suitcase) then you don't need to worry about finding your fonts.

  Now for the error messages. The first is the preferences panel that installs suitcase and now that the application is removed, the preferences window cannot find the vault of the police. The second is the suitcase Auto Activation plug-ins for Illustrator. The third with the suitcase Universal Type Client cannot operate because certain parts of the suitcase is missing. What do these error messages tell me, is that you in fact did not uninstall all about the suitcase. (I guess you just trashed the suitcase folder in your Applications folder).

Safari reports that "the sype file not specified", so maybe there is a mistake in the Web page itself (humor: "these biologists are sloppy with their microscopes to $5 million and more, but they don't know much about computers..")

  This page has not been modified since before that Firefox is a browser. There is probably a plugin for Internet Explorer v6 that will display that content. But you'll need a computer with Windows XP SP1 which is never updated Internet Explorer, and then find and install the plugin to make it work.
