Cannot access the Cookies, the "Access denied" message folder in Vista

I had problems with my computer for some time now. Various problems such as being not able to install updates for one reason or another (I think I got that one without screw it too many other top! haha)

The question I have now is with my Cookies folder. It is said there (C:\Users\---\Cookies) "is not available"... "" Access denied ".  Why is this and how to "reconquer" access? And how, all of a sudden, what happened? A person may delete something, they shouldn't have? Or Whaat?  Aaah!

* original title - Cookie file: ACCESS DENIED - has had no trouble with her before! What is going on? *

The C:\Users\---\Cookies file is a hidden, protected from the operating system that is not intended to be accessible to users.

To be more precise, it is a junction point that points to the folder that is accessible to the user C:\Users\---\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

    Hi Mos,

Thank you for your update on the issue.

Basically, UMBus enumerator or enumerator of Bus Mode user enumerates devices on different buses to user mode. Umbus.sys is the universal management Bus Enumerator driver and a 32-bit executable that requires no direct user interface. You may need to check if there is a yellow exclamation on this device driver in Device Manager and update driver if required. Refer to the following steps to do:

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click the Managerof peripheral . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. Click view in the menu, and then select Show hidden devices.
    3. In the list of hardware categories, find and expand the System devices and select the UMBus enumerator(with a yellow exclamation point) and then double-click the device name.
    4. Click the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Trunk / normal boot - access denied message: may have to open a session using the admin account to make specified changes

I went into safe mode to try to resolve a problem that is "slow". When I tried to goback to normal startup, I got an access denied message. "... May have to login using the admin account to make specified changes." I am the only user of the computer and administer and logged as soon as I turn on count it. What can I do now?

Is this the message you see:

"An access denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an administrator account to perform the changes specified"

If so, I bet you have a HP printer, because there is an HP PML driver that produces this effect of nuisance. It is only a nuisance and you should still be able to make your changes of msconfig, and they should stick. However, if she is really bugging you, you can watch this:

This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Edit > Preferences > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Edit > Preferences > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You are using a bookmark, or you start with the homepage (home) on this Web site?

If you use a bookmark to open a specific page on the server and then try to navigate to this page from the home page or the page of connection Web site where this bookmark is currently suspended.

Best is to avoid the bookmarking a specific page which has been achieved by sending POST data in a (hidden) form or bookmarking a page that contains the GET data added to the URL (? xxx = xxx) or links to a specific area in the case where load balancing is used because they can easily get broken if changes are made to the server.

  • Access denied message to scan and a program after running disk check

Original title: chkdisk found bad sectors on my hard drive and seemed to move them, but now I have deinied for my scanner and a program so far. How can I fix it

I cnt day Quicken or use my scanner. I get "access denied".

    Hi rosiemate,

To check if the following is useful.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Disable Zone Alarm temporarily and see if you still have access denied message. If there is no error, you may need to look in the settings of the program.

Note:  Check that you activate your anti-virus protection on the computer back after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

Step 2: As you can see the files unusable for Quicken, you can follow this article to check the issue.

Alternatively, you can consult this article.

It may also be a possibility of a corrupted user account.

    Method 2:

Step 1: Create a new user profile to test the issue. See the "create a new user profile on the computer working group" section of this article.

Step 2: If the problem does not occur, follow the "copy files to the new user profile" in this article.

    I hope this helps.

  • "Access denied" message when using Windows Media Player on my windows based computers.

Put all my music on an external hard drive.  Meticulously organized all the metadata on my Windows XP PC WMP (version 11) and my window 7 PC WMP (version 12).  Now, I get an "access denied" message for my music folder on my XP machine.  The new WMP restricted me to access this folder on all, but my Windows 7 box?  I take my external hard drive from room to room (study, gameroom,...) so I can listen to my music wherever I go in my house.  Should what changes I make to allow me to listen to my music on my different computers?

Make sure that the group Everyone has read at least the permissions on all the objects on the disc.  Set the permissions on the root folder and then use inheritance to propagate permissions to all items on the disc.  See here for the typical instructions: http://windows-xp-full.net/Que-Special.Edition.Using.Micr1/0789732807/ch28lev1sec8.html

  • I get an "access denied" message when you try to access my restored files. What should I do?

Some users have received an "access denied" message when you try to access their files restored once a recovery has been performed.  This can occur using Windows backup or backup HP (HP Recovery Manager).  They can see the files and folders, but they can do something with them, as the security check to fail.

This occurs because the permissions from the previous installation are also saved with the files and it is a failure on the new system because the files have not been created on this particular installation of Windows.

However, there is a way to solve this error.  Users can adapt the files and this should resolve the access denied"" message.

Here is a guide which explains how to do this.

I hope this helps with this particular issue.

I can't update the driver software in all my gear installed on my computer via a right click on it in Device Manager. In addition, how can I bypass the "Access denied" message and give me permission to do stuff like that?

    Hello

  • When you try to download a document online, how can I fix an access denied message?

When you try to download a document online, how can I fix and message 'access denied '?

If you try to access a document from someone from another site, and you get an access denied message, it is probably because you are not supposed to be able to acquire the file without getting several access permissions you have right now.
