Cannot access the disk in the drive E:, please make sure that the drive is ready and the disk is not write protected.
When I try to backup Quicken, I received the error: cannot access the disk in the drive E:, please make sure that the drive is ready and the disk is not write protected. My last backup of Quicken was 16/07/2010. I don't know why I can't back up now. Is there a way to fix this?
Why not save to a folder on your hard drive and burn them to a CD - R from there? I can't tell from the little you wrote if the problem is with Quicken (not work or you have incorrectly backup location) or with your CD - RW drive. How about more details to work with? This will give you an idea of what to write:
The first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

Im trying to connect to a server on Battlefield 3 as im log on a server I get a message saying: could not initialize the display adapter, please make sure that your video card is compatible and the driver so that it is installed. Usually, it is a result of the lack of specific driver of the seller then, how can I fix this problem so that I can play Battlefield 3 new...
Hi Anthany,
If you have a hardware device that does not properly with your computer, you probably need a driver updated. There are three ways to update a driver:
Use Windows Update. You will have to perhaps set Windows Update automatically download and install recommended updates.
Install the software from the manufacturer of the device. For example, if your device is equipped with a disk, this disk can contain software that installs a driver for the device.
Download and update the driver yourself. Use this method to install a driver that you download from the manufacturer's website. If Windows Update can't find a driver for your device and the device didn't come with software that installs a driver.
Step 1: Download and install the latest version of DirectX.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/179113
Step 2: Download and install the latest graphics driver and see if it works.
Update a hardware driver that is not working properly(Windows 7)
Good day!

Windows 7. I am the only user and administrator.
Every time I start Firefox I get the "the update could not be installed. Please make sure that you don't have any other instances of firefox... etc. ".
The Task Manager shows all instances of firefox are closed, processes and applications.
It happens even after restarting Windows 7
Help on Firefox reports that I'm on 20.0.1 "you are currently on the OUTPUT channel. There is a box "Turn to update". When you click on it, Firefox will restart and the notification of «the update could not be installed...» "is there still.
I've seen this reported forever, it seems and many "bugs" is proposed, but none works. Anyone has an idea why this happens, or better yet, how to fix?
Thanks for all the answers. I followed all, and was finally able to go get rid of 4500 duplicate bookmarks, more removed XMARKS, by process of elimination
XMARKS causing Firefox to freeze
4500 Favorites in doubles, causing all sorts of problems
Removal of records and profiles corrected problems updates updates.
All these problems hit me at once. Who would have thought?
Thank you again... -

Original title: I get repeated messages from Google that says, "Google has detected.
I get repeated messages from Google that says, "Google has detected suspicious activity from your computer. Please make sure that you are not a robot. Type the letters you see in the text box. "or words to that effect. I can't search because when I enter a keyword and click on enter, I redirected to this message. How can I solve this problem? This problem was reported as being caused by the ISP redirect traffic sent to google.com. This causes Google to see a lot of traffic from the same IP address, which she sees as suspicious. See this:

If you are sure that you have no malicious software, that would be merit to be studied.

Original title: Windows Fax & Scan
Hello, I just bought a new printer (Canon MG2450), and every time I try to scan something an error comes out.
The error that says:
No scanners were detected. If a scanner is installed, make sure that it is turned on and connected to the computer and try again. For more information about adding or troubleshooting scanners, see Help and Support.
the printer is powered on and connected. I tried searching the Internet and I tried the TWAIN_32 and everything is good.
What can I do?
Daniel Capelle
The scanner came with a CD to install the software? Some more recent does not come with a CD, you must go to the Canon Website and you get the software.

I installed vmware Player on a linux Open Suse (32-bit), the supplied file .bundle machine. It worked very well, and I could load my file of virtual machine very well. Then, my machine had a random failure. When it restarts, I could no longer use my virtual machine, always get the error:
"Could not open/dev/vmmon: no such file or directory."
Please make sure that the "vmmon" kernel module is loaded. »
I look in / dev, and of course, there is no vmmon. I see a lot of archived messages stating that you must run the script ' vmware - config.pl '... (more specifically the following link: ) http://blog.solutionperspectivemedia.co.UK/?p=6 )
but I do not have it. It seems that maybe it was a part of the installation (no-bundle) more old?
What should I do? Is this a known problem, as indicated in this Web site? Or random failure caused something? I'm quite confused.
Have you tried to uninstall as root? Otherwise I think it won't work.
With respect to your original problem, I got it, too, and that's what I did:
sudo mv/usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary.old
vmware-modconfig--console--install-all--appname sudo = 'VMware Player' - icon = 'vmware-player '.

How can I make sure that any firewalls (versions of software or hardware) does not block port 443 to access?
Hi Anna_753,
Usually, you would receive messages from any program if it is impossible to access the port.
If you want to check if the port is accessible, then you will need to check the firewall settings.
Each firewall has its own parameters for ports of the computer.

My OS is Windows XP service pack 3 version. I even tried to install FF4 but he never settle. As I mentioned my FF continues to try to update, but it gives the error message that I set out in the title. Now I don't have access to my FF browser and my life stopped because I have all my saved passwords on FF. I restarted my laptop but it stills try to update himself giving the same error message. I can not also improved my Adobe reader 7.0.7-10 I tried more than 10 times, but it is never up to date. I had this problem Adobe for a long time.
Run the program Firefox once as an administrator (right click: run as administrator).
If this does not help, then do a clean reinstall.Do a clean install (re)-:
- Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
- Do not erase personal data if you uninstall the current version.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

How to 'unlock' the file?
What happens when I try to start a server that I have just cloned/created.
Oscar
On the service console, go to the database where the virtual machine is loacted and look for the file with. LCK extension and remove it, VM, should start fine after that.
Kind regards
