  Hi, I am a beginner on this forum so apologies if this topic has been discussed before.

  I gave my "old" Blackberry 8520 to my husband that I had updated.

  He put the sim card from his phone Samsung with the BB.

  Now, he cannot 'Add contact' or modify one of his contacts.

  I had wiped the phone and he returned to factory settings before I gave it to him.

  It doesn't have all of the messengers on it except BBM.

  I'd appreciate your feedback / advice on that.

  Try the following:

  Just delete all applications (Yahoo, MSN or Live) email you may have recently updated / delete applications that were recently installed before the error started actually took place.

  After that, disconnect the battery while the phone is always "on" and reboot the phone.

  In fact I had deleted a whole bunch of applications to facilitate my upgrade of the OS that I had not enough memory on my device.

  This not only helped solve my problem mentioned above, but also makes my phone restarts in less than 3 minutes (restarting earlier was done in no less than 15 minutes!).

  My conclusion from the above incidents is to keep your apps in the bare minimum so that your phone performs the best.

  We want to you to repair Windows Live Mail to make sure it is not damaged.

  To do this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open start. Go to control panel, and then click programs.
  2. Click on programs and features.
  3. Click with the right button on Windows Live Essentials, and then click Uninstall/Change.
  4. In the dialog box, select repair all Windows Live programs .
  5. Once the repair complete, restart when asked.

  If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall Windows Live Mail.

• Contacts app - cannot add a group contact

  Contacts app needs a bit of love programmer.

  I am trying to create a new group of contacts (* no * a "Smart group").

  I created the (file-> new group) group.  Tried to created in the section of the sidebar and "on my Mac" iCloud Same behavior.

  I select "All Contacts" and enter a keyword to search for. If the contact is not in the Contacts, but is in the Mail, you * must * "Add to Contacts" entry allows you to drag the contact into a group.

  You * might * be able to do it once or twice, but soon the Contacts won't you allow to drag anything else in the new group you created.

  If you leave Contacts and re - open, you can add one or two people, and then it stops once to answer more trolling.

  Contact groups can be quite practical, and I understand your message you are having a little trouble to create yours--you cannot drag contacts you want in the Group shortly after. I know it's important to be able to create these groups with all you need, and I have a few steps, we can try troubleshooting.

  1. Exit the Contacts App. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard. While now Shift, re - open Contacts. Try to add to your group again.
  2. Restart your Mac. Click on the menu  Apple in the upper left of your screen, then select "Restart" in the menu dropdown. When the computer is back on, Contacts open and try to add to your group again.
  3. Test of a new user account. This will help determine if there is no data that could cause a conflict. Instructions on the configuration and test in a new user account can be found in the article from the link below.

  4. Try to create your group in Mode without failure. Use the following article to help get into Safe Mode.   This can be long and winded, but I spent 5 hours trying to solve this problem.

  The error you get can be caused by components from Visual C++ Runtime libraries that are missing or get conflicted, perhaps due to a third party software or badly configured registry settings.

  So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists:

  Method 1:

  a. click Start, right-click computerand then click Properties.

  b. in the name computer, domain, and workgroup settings , click change settings.

  (If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.)

  c. click change settings , and then select the Advanced tab click the environment variables button.

  d. the user variables area, click on TEMPand then click change.

  e. in the Variable value box, type C:\Temp, and then click OK twice.

  f. click applyand then click OK.

  g. follow steps 4 to 6 for the variable of environment TMP as well.

  h. confirm this folder C:\Temp exist, otherwise create a.

  i. restart the computer.

  j. attempt to install the application again.

  If the steps do not help, try the next method.

  Method 2:

  If you are comfortable in changing some registry settings, then follow the steps provided below.

  1. Click Start and type run in start search box, and then press enter.
  2. Type regedit and click OK.

• Right-click on this registry entry, and then click Rename.
• Rename F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B to -F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B.
• Close the registry editor.
• Restart the computer.
• Check if you are able to install the application.

If the method does not resolve the problem, continue to the next method.

Method 3:

You can also reinstall Visual C++ Library Runtime components to solve the problem.

You can uninstall all existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

1. Open programs and features, click Start > Control Panel >programs and features.
2. In the list, find the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ and click on it.
3. Right-click on it and select Uninstall.
4. Restart the computer.

Step 2: Download and install the latest package and see if it helps.

Download the relevant package depending on your system's architecture.

• Cannot add contacts

  IPhone 6 9.3.1 and work with.  I have all my devices connected via iCloud

  I enter a new contact on my iphone and it does not appear on my iPhone.  If I scroll down on a screen and type the name that I just entered the iPhone search field will find the name and number, but it does not appear in contacts. The new contact I have add on the iphone are displayed immediately on my Mac and eventually will appear on my iPad.  I don't remember if it is an intermittent problem or if it is consistent.  I know it happened with 2 names in particular; 1 I added a few months ago and he never present and 1 I added today and it did not show.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Does anyone have a suggested solution?

  When you access the contacts app on the phone, check in the upper left corner to see if you have more than one group of Contact listed. Show all groups, if you have more than one. So, if you have more than one, if you go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars, see which is the default group.

  I'm trying to implement the rules of e-mail in Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 computer. When I click on the Contacts button, I just get a list of Contacts but can't copy and add names to the mailbox rules.

  While in the message rule, click the Contacts button and then double-click a Contact , and click Add. That should add to the rule.
