• How to remove a Drum Machine Designer path of piano roll?

  Hello everyone, new user to Logic Pro X here!

  If I right click to 'Clear cell' of Drum Machine Designer to remove all the unused cells of Ibiza pre-set for cleaning.  Who successfully cleared DMD unused cells, but names of drum of the cleared cells remain in the Piano roll and I can't understand how to remove the piano roll.  How?

  The drum Machine Designer (DMD) is a "surprisingly", super easy to use with a nice user interface.   Regarding your question:

  • DMD cells refer to a specific location on the Ultrabeat Plugin (which is loaded on a channel strip separated with DMD and functions as its sound source). In the lower right corner of each cell is a label of a specific key, which is his assignment to the Ultrabeat slot.
  • When you click a cell or play which is not specific, it triggers the sample in the slot of this Ultibeat,
  • When you disable a slot, you disable the assignment to this location, you are NOT clear the sample loaded on the Ultrabeat slot!
  • However, when you load a new sample on the cell in the window of DMD, you will overwrite the sample of the corresponding slot in Ultrabeat.
  • The names of drum displayed in the Piano Roll Editor come directly from the Ultrabeat instrument and not the window DMD. This is the reason why you still see the sample name (drum), even if you have disabled the corresponding cell in the DMD.
  • The only way to get rid of the name, is to rename it to Ultrabeat, for example a hyphen. The assignment of key label ("C1 01:...") "), however, is always displayed. I'm guessing that is cooked in the logic.

  BTW, in order to obtain the Ultrabeat plug-in, you must open the console, click on the small triangle of the DMD channel strip (which is actually a channel strip to the). The channel strip that opens next to him is the Instrument Channel Strip that has the Plugin loaded Ultrabeat.

• Piano roll Editor: is it possible to eliminate the spaces between the many notes at once?

  Using the step input method, I entered a number of 1/2 notes in the piano roll Editor.

• Not synchronized with the piano roll score editor

  My partitions (in Logic Pro X v. 10.2.0) editor is behaving strangely.  I binding mode value 'content' for the score editor must reflect the regions selected for titles.  However, it doesn't.  It usually selects a track only, even if several are selected. If I flip between piano roll and score editor, for a selection given regions, the piano roll behaves exactly as expected (display of notes for selected regions) but the score editor does not work.  They should not always match?  How can I get the score editor to behave as expected?

  Nope - this isn't quite how it works. He is not related to the 'regions' are 'selected', but rather only the last region you click on (if it is selected or not is not relavent) that is... if your content link is set to yellow). [rules different if link content has value 'same level'].

  If your content link is enabled "(yellow) content" and you want to see all regions on this track... Press the up arrow (or double-click the background score editor - not staff).  You will see then all regions on this track. If you want to see all the instruments - click the arrow again to the top.

  I may make a video that will explain the score editor (content link, arrow of hierarchy, filters and sets of score) works.

• No sound during the use of the MIDI piano roll.  Here's what I tried.

  I have always saved audio analog with Audition 3.0, but am getting the midi recording bug and use VSTi plugins.   According to this useful doc from Adobe, the process seems simple enough: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1196432

  Following this procedure to the letter, I have the hearing Polysynth showing in the sequencer window.  The left and right arrows are currently set to < all >.   The problem is that I don't hear anything when I click on the keys in the piano roll.   All the other audio plays fine in the system.

  I double checked the hardware installation and do not see anything specific at noon.    In my setup audio Windows 7, exit audio MIDI is on the same audio device in analog output (which works fine).

  Right now I'm not worried for my MIDI keyboard/controller - I'm just trying to get a piano roll sound in the sequencer.

  Fixed it - I had to activate hearing Mix in the session properties.  Hope this helps somene else.

  The application works as expected. There is no current option to allow several seletions to copy in the gallery. The current design must be done at once.

  When to send an attachment, you must:

  1. ensure that your email is put in place

  I shared the original track so I could pan the new tracks to make it more interesting (each note is a drop of water...).  Which was not quite successful either, but it's the volume/speed that I can't understand.  I tried using automation volume, the sliders in the mixer, and even the speed settings in the piano roll.  Neither does the slightest bit of difference in one of the four new tracks.  Is there another place where I can adjust the volume?  Help, please!

  Can you be more specific please?

  You create a MIDI region for verse 1 and then copy / paste the entire region?

  Or did you copy all and paste events - either in the same region or in a new area?

  Have you checked the values of velocity in the MIDI region - and they are the same? Use the Piano Roll Editor to check.

  There is an offset of speed for each region setting, perhaps you accidentally set that? You can see this setting in the region Inspector.

  Just make sure that the start and end positions are set up correctly. Then just press select and operate.
