  • Windows media player cannot read CDs and DVDs

MS supports says my Player DVD is dead and needs a new drive. So, I just install a new ROM DVD and still have the same problem - cannot read CDs and DVDs.

When I play the CD, I always get the error meessage--(lecteur Windows media a rencontré une erreur lors de la lecture de lecteur de CD en mode numérique...). 'Digital' is selected under the tool-> properties-> device.

When I play DVD, it is frozen my laptop or keep spinning and froze the Windows Explorer and the reader.

I was able to read DVDs and CDs once after a few restart. During playback of CD the WMP abruptly stopped with error message and since that time cannot play CD DVD & more.

So far, I did a few fixs that I found online and nothing wroks:

    * No upperfilter or UpperFilter registry

    * Uninstall and let the laptop automatically reinstall the driver

    * Ms. Fix it gives different results every time I run the fix-(1) detects no problem and therefore no patches have been applied (2) the main media in the CD drive is not readable (same CD has played correctly when using external USB DVD rom)

Can someone help and let me know what that could be the problem and how to fix it! Thank you!

I can do to make it work?

Are there drivers for Windows 7? I can't find my original CD

Any help is very appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

Looks like a HARD drive contains a preinstalled software that is not compatible with Win 7.
I'm not sure if this will help but try this:

Connect your HDD to the other no Win 7 PC
Select the CD drive with your browser (password)
Run the ONSPCLCK.exe (or another exe file which controls and password.)
    Select 'Options '.
    Select "Disable security password"
    Enter your current password
    Unplug the HARD drive
Connect the HARD drive to laptop with Win 7 OS.

I had a similar problem of combustion and the end of the story, I replaced the drive ;(
However, try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then again to restart the operating system should recognize the device again.
Then you could check if it able to burn the DVD s s.
I think you should also try burning different DVD media.

I have visited many work sites and the reader, and especially the calibration lens malfunction could be responsible for burning problems.
This could be a worst case and in this case, the replacement is necessary.

Have you bought your Mac of opportunity? A new mac should have with pre-installed iPhoto, if the Mac comes with Mac OS X 10.7.5.

If the Mac initially had another system installed, look at the system installation discs, which belong to the Mac. On one of these disks should be an installer for iPhoto and other iLife applications.

If the original system of the Mac is Mac OS X 10.7, there will be no installation disks.

In this case look at the App Store, the fourth purchases tab, if you see iPhoto with a button I agree. Press this button.

If iPhoto is not visible on the purchases tab, the previous owner has accepted the pre-installed iPhoto already to the AppleID and may not be transferred to you. You can buy your own copy.  Apple is no longer develops and sells iPhoto. Try buying an installer of iLife 11 on Amazon or eBay.

iPhoto 11 works most completely, however. The functionality of the site is longer supported on the Mac OS compatible version X 10.7.5, because Apple has only the support of Google Maps.

If your Mac is compatible, consider upgrading to Mac OS X 10.11. El Capitan and the use of the new Photos.app instead of buy a program that is no longer supported and developed.

The Photos.app installs automatically, if you upgrade to El Capitan.
