Cannot burn files to CD/DVD more? (Windows 7)

This problem is everywhere on the internet but I have yet to see a solution that is tailored for someone else to do a system restore that is not an option. I burned the files on my internal drive by dragging and dropping them in the folder to the blank disc, then click on burn. A few months ago I went through the process as usual (insert a blank disc, he asks what I want to do and I choose to burn cd, it opens the folder to the blank disc) but when I went to drag and drop the files in the folder to the blank disc, nothing happened. I dragged and when I released in fall, they do not appear in the burn list.

(1) I tried to use Windows Media Player instead, and I couldn't also do drag or drop files in the burn list here.
(2) I tried selecting the files, then click on burn instead of drag, and they still do not appear in the burn list.
(3) I got our admin check user for burning strategies and burning has been activated. We disabled and then enabled again just in case and still no difference.
(4) I have not download or install something new on the computer or bring other changes to this computer before what is happening and neither did my admin, there may be something that we did it. The only changes that the computer would be crossed before that happens are automatic updates of windows.
(5) it is not the disks. It does not work with the same discs I have always used so I tried six different other, different brands, and the behavior is the same only they are all burned fine on other computers. It also does not matter if I am on CD or DVD.
(6) it is not the drive. When my admin logged into his account on my computer, he was able to drag and drop and burn as usual it seems there is something to do with my profile specifically.
Any suggestions?

    1. What is the exact error message you get?
    2. don't you make changes before the show?
    3. when exactly the burn process stops?

If the song is playing, but the burn process continues to stop when inspecting the song, try turning off the upgrade of the volume:
    1. click on the arrow below the burn tab, and then click More Options.
    2. turn off the volume apply upgrade across tracks on the CD check box and then click OK.
    3. try burning the CD again.

There are several types of AVI files, and they can
be problematic. Maybe the info would be

If you want to just put your video on a DVD for
for archival purposes, you would create a data DVD.

    See the following article:

To create a video DVD (which will play in)

If you still have problems, the AVI may need to

When video files are imported into Freemake,

  • DVD writer is recognized but cannot burn files

I am working on a friends computer and had to do a restore point to fix another problem.  After the restore point, everything works except the DVD/CD burner.  I can install a blank DVD or CD and Windows recognizes it and says I need to format it.  I have format it and give it a name and he accepts it. I put this drive on another computer, and it displays the name, I gave and I can use the disc in another computer.  I put the disc into his computer and it shows the disc with the name I gave to him, but I can't copy all of the files for it.  It does not show the ability to burn files when I select the files and if I try to copy or drag them to the DVD writer, nothing happens.  Paste function is grayed out when I select the DVD burner.  I can read files off other disks.  I tried to uninstall the DVD/CD player and reinstall the driver.  I uninstalled the IDE controller and reinstalled the driver.  Nothing seems to fix this.  The computer is an HP Pavilion Slimline s3200t with a built-in DVD/CD burner model HL-DT-ST DVD - RW GSA-H60L.  It runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium with Service Pack 2. This drive was working properly before using the Restore Point.  I have not found any similar to this problem in the help forums.  Help, please.  Thank you.

Work Yes, but does not properly. Visit the forums to Evan and try the above methods
as sometimes running across these kick will begin a CD/DVD to work properly. As I said
a CD/DVD is 4 disks 1 and one or several parts can fail separately from the rest.

Have you recently added any software CD/DVD? What antivirus/antispyware/securiy programs have
NEVER been on the system - these and the remains of those installed since may cause strange problems.

  • Cannot access files on hard disk on windows xp, after I worked with it on win 7.

Cannot access files on external hard drive on windows xp, after that I worked with him on Victory 7.I can see the file, but he says "is not accessible. access is denied. " Can someone help me?

As you can guess, this is a permissions problem.  Here, it makes a difference if you have XP Home or Pro you have to safe boot mode to change permissions in the House.

My crystal ball says that your external drive is formatted with the NTFS file system.  When you connected to Windows 7 (or any other computer besides), the files have been added that this user permissions apparently understood that only Win 7 has access to.  There are several ways to handle this...

Is to save on all your files and reformat the external hard drive with a FAT32 file system and then support files.  You will have no problems of permissions with FAT32, but you can't have any higher than 4 GB single file either.

Another way is as an administrator, to 'Ownership' of all the files on the disk
"How appropriate a file or a folder in Windows XP"
but this could get old if the drive moves back.

Yet another approach is to give "Everyone" full access to everything on the drive.  This may or may not protect against new folders or files added, but may be worth a try:
As a user administrator, open a command window:
    Start-> Run-> "cmd".
    Then, enter the command:
    CACLS E:\/t/e/c/g everyone: F
(where I am assuming that your external drive is mounted as "E:" - change of real player)

I hope that something more top is useful...

  • How can I burn files to CD/DVD

I was trying to burn files to my CD/DVD of the last hour. Even after I wipe the drive and Windows 7 to say what files to burn it tells me the files already exist on the destination disk or there is not enough disk space on the destination, even after I have delete this 'thing'. Then when I finally get it start burning and same duiring what I perceive as the burning process that ball keeps popping up telling me that I have files ready to burn, even if they were burned (at least that was the case the last time)

I am trying to burn the same update files that I burned a week ago. Apparently disc erase is not good.

Am I missing something or is there a way eary to do this?

Maybe some third-party software would make things a little easier.

    It is a new system.

But I found that the problem was that I didn't have enough space on the CD.

Windows7 is not dealing with me when he started to burn. It seems that it would burn up to this disk was full, but always told me that I had to burn files. Apparently he was expecting me insert another disc? It would have been nice to know. I put a DVD and it burned without problem.

Sorry ' end me watching it again and thank you for the info.

  • Carpet * a UJ - 831S: cannot burn a CD or DVD, but possible burning RW media

    Hello
I have a really strange problem when I burn cd or dvd (any brand) I can't do that, but I can burn a dvd RW or cd RW. When I try to burn normal dvd, his show "Please put a blank or rewritable dvd" and when I try to burn normal cd its burning but sometimes 10% and 90% time.

I don't know that my dvd is ok or I have to buy a new one?

    Please help me.
    you are my last chance...

    Hello

Looks like the lens can not calibrate correctly.
The objective must be calibrated before using the media. Each media need to another status to calibrate. If this calibration doesn t work properly the drive cannot read or write media.
Well, in this case there are not a lot to do.
The drive needs to be replaced.

But have you checked if the engraving option has been enabled on the drive? If this isn't the case, in order to check it out.

-Right-click on the DVD drive-> properties
-Go to the menu point record
-Enable recording for the DVD player

  • Pavilion 6000: cannot burn pictures on a DVD + RW on my hp Pavilion 6000 (drive is hp DVD A DH16A BLH)

I can not burn pictures on a DVD + RW. I use Verbatim DVD + RW discs. When I try to burn photos, I get the message "Please insert a recordable/writable disc". I can burn photos to a CD, but I want too much DVDs!

Help, please! I am not technically minded so please keep this in mind when replying

Across the Atlantic, it seems that way. If you put in a DVD movie is the little icon for the disc switch to reflect the title of the movie? The test would be if you can boot from a bootable DVD as a Windows 7 install disc or any other bootable DVD. We strive to rule out hardware vs software and if the DVD player works before Windows starts so the problem are software and a replacement of the drive will not help. If she can't boot from it, then it's a hardware problem. It is not the upper and lower part thing of filter, you can fix with the automatic setting of Microsoft or it wouldn't work for the CD, either.

You can also try a disc cleaner for the lens that you can buy at any store that sells a lot of DVD movies.

So before you buy the replacement, try my suggestion above, if you can. In the contrary case, it sure looks like material.

There is some malware that causes this problem. We will, first of all make sure that your computer is not infected. Download, install, update and perform a full scan with Malwarebytes. View results, then we will know which path from there.

    Hello

Are you trying to copy disk protected from copyright?
Maybe this is not possible due to some restrictions
If not, you should check to see if an update of the firmware of the player is
If it is available, then you should find it on the European driver Toshiba page.

Last but not least if may be a hardware problem, but the ASP must be contacted as a last resort. I mean in the majority of cases, the CDs and DVDs used is responsible for these issues

  • Cannot associate files InDesign INDD CC 2014 (Windows 7)

After update by 2014 CC, I noticed that my file associations for all of my creative Cloud applications have been pointing to the wrong places. I guess that's because the new updates are actually different versions of the application and installed as a completely separate apps. I was able to settle my PSD files and to point to their new CC 2014 counterpart very well, but when I tried to set the file association for the INDD file, I noticed that the type of file did not show upward in the list of the association of the file in the control panel Windows 7. So, instead I went directly in a file on my computer, clicked INDD, selected "open with...". ", click on"Browse... ". "and sailed to"InDesign.exe. "When I chose this and press OK, it didn't change the file association. Repeating the process did not help and now the only way to open an INDD file must drag and drop it into the workspace of InDesign CC 2014. After rebooting my computer, the INDD file type now appears in the list of the association of the file of the Windows 7 Control Panel, but it does not always change the association.

Uninstall versions prior to Windows after you HAVE installed the new version will kill you associations in many cases.

Reinstall a new one is easy to fix.
