Cannot burn video disc

I am trying to burn a home video DVD disc.  I captured the video to a file mpg with TV tuner card and software (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250).  I can open the file with Adobe Elements 7.0 mpg but can't burn it to DVD disc.  When I get media, it performs with success of indexing, which are in line.  When I burn it to DVD, he proceeds to encoding and compiling.  But when it starts to burn, it stops with an unknown error.  DVD burner blinks for awhile and then the drive ejects with the error dialog box.  I have spent hours online and in the owner's manual and have tried many suggestions.  Export to DV AVI, and then import into new project did not correct problem.  My system is a high-end of the descent system.  I can provide the details necessary to debug it.  Any help is appreciated.

Please work through the troubleshooting steps to the right of this forum in the FAQ section.

If you declare you your results for each step in as much detail as possible, we will be better able to diagnose your problem and recommend solutions.

If a DVD burner, it can. Look at your CD/DVD drive on the computer - it can burn DVDs if it says:

    "DVD + R/RW"
    "DVD + R/RW"
    'DVD + R'
    'DVD-R '.
    "DVDR.
    or "DVD writer".

He can't if it says "DVD-ROM" or "CD".

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft Community. It seems that you are facing problem when burning a video disc. I will certainly help you to question.

    We start with two questions:

1 have had any changes made on the computer before the show?

    2. what application you use to burn the disc?

    3. What is the size of the video files?

  • PE8: Cannot burn disc from working only area?

Am I blind? I can't seem to find anywhere an option that will allow me to burn a disc from the work area only... is there somewhere?

I see this option to share on the web, but not in burning a disc.

I have six hours of material on the timeline and hoped to burn three discs, but PE8 tells me I don't have enough disk space for every 6 hours.  Well, well, I know that, while I was counting on the movement of the work area on what I wanted to burn, as you can do in prepro.  No go in PE8?

Due to a major difference between the pre and PrPro, sequences, there are things that can be done in PrPro, who can not pre.

Back in PrPro 2.0, you could burn to DVD directly. Which was not possible from CS3. From there, we had to either Export/Import of PrPro to yet or use Adobe Dynamic Link (strengthened and improved in CS4), to create a DVD/BD.

Steve's suggestion is the best - the WAB export segments that are required by DVD and then separate for each project. Import each DV - AVI that was exported, through the WAB, and then just burn it to DVD, for each of them. It is not more, but does the job properly.

    Good luck

  • Cannot burn DVD in Windows DVD Maker

    Hello

I'm burning a couple of files wmv to a DVD. The two files together last about 5 minutes on a 120 minute DVD - RW. When I open Windows DVD Maker and import the two files, DVD Maker goes through the burning process, but towards the end DVD Maker informs me that he cannot finish burning "an error has occurred." It does not say what error or what caused it. DVD Maker itself I unchecked the filters in 'compatibility '; in the Windows Event Viewer, I can see the following:

DVD Maker returned an error code (0xC00D002F) when burning the disc.

Dvd creation engine returned an error (-1072889809) code when burning the disc.

When I check the events and the center of Microsoft's messages for the two error messages, I 'been found no results for your query.

How could I solve this problem please?

    Thank you.

    Hello I volunteer

Thanks a lot for your answer and the link of the encoder.

I got the encoder to work and 15 tracks (wmv) audio/video tracks I wanted to burn it to a DVD using DVD Maker, some 12 are corrupt. I don't know how they have corrupted or why, but there you are.

The strange thing is that if I use another burning program, I can play tracks perfectly - a drawback is that with other software, you can not burn the tracks in the order you want (they appear on the final DVD burned by alphabetical order), whereas the DVD Maker, you can organize tracks by using the Up/arrow keys.

I have not tried to burn on a DVD so I'll post back.

    Thanks again.

    Blue
