  When you open the tab automatic updates in the control panel or My Computer property sheet, all options of configuration of the automatic updates may be grayed out. This happens due to one of the following reasons:

  1. You are not logged as administrator (or equivalent)
  2. Strategy of automatic updates is enabled
  3. Automatic updates (and Windows Update) access is blocked by group policy

• This caused all THE files, including Windows to become READ ONLY - cannot change whatever it is and can not change itself.

  Saved programs & Docs to a folder on another drive. Made the file READ ONLY so she would not get changed. Windows RELOADED. Copied programs (no longer available and/or damaged discs) and Docs for the new Windows. Now most of the Windows files, program files, all Doc files are READ only! Cannot change what anyone on Windows, load new programs or updates, and it doesn't allow me to cancel the attributes read-only in a file or a folder including the backup folder in the other player!  I copied backup files I want to save one by one in another folder in another player, so I can reformat and start over, but this issue has also become READ ONLY.  Can someone help me with this thing read-only?

  I'm sorry to say this, but you cannot back up Windows in this way. As you have unfortunately discovered, simply copying the program files does not work. You would have needed the system image using a program like Acronis True Image . There is nothing you can do about the programs; they should all be reinstalled from the media (CD or executable files downloaded from the Internet). With respect to documents, you can take possession of them. The read-only attribute is not applicable to folders in Windows XP.

  Method 1: Try to take possession of the host file and check to see if the same problem happens.

  To apply permissions to a file or a folder:

  a. right click on the file or folder and then click Properties.

  b. click the Security tab and then click Edit.

  c. do one of the following:

  ·         To set permissions for a user who is not listed under group or user names, click Add, type the name of the user or group, click OK, select permissions and then click OK.

  ·         To change or remove permissions for a user or an existing group, click the name of the user or group, select the permissions and then click OK.

When I then click on the "Advanced" tab, image duration shows only 5 seconds with the transition period only 1.25 seconds, which is the default setting and that is also what I want. However, when I play my project in Movie Maker, it accelerates through each clip. I also noticed that when I press the title of 'Clip' in my headings at the top left and then click on 'Properties', the duration of each clip shows that only 00:02 seconds. Which is why my speed clips too quickly.

  I would have thought that setting my time of duration in the Tools section would then set in the Clips section, but this is obniously does not. I don't understand why everyone would show differently and wonder if you can help me to slow down the speed that my movie is playing.

  The change of setting to: Tools / Options /.
  Advanced... tab applies only to the added clips
  to the timeline * after * you change the setting.

  If you switch to view "Storyboard" and select
  all of the clips as a batch (select one and the type...
  CTRL + A)... you can add the 'Speed Up, Double.
  or "Slow down, half" effect of changing the
  duration. Simply select all clips / right click
  the effect on the menu... Choose...
  Add to storyboard table.

  'Speed Up, Double' cuts the duration of half.

  "Slow Down, half ' double life.

  These effects can be added up to six times.

  If you need finer adjustment...
  the info may be useful:

  You can change the duration for each clip
  manually. Move your pointer autour the
  edge of an element until you see a double red
  arrow. Now, drag the double red arrow...
  you will see if show a ToolTip displays the duration
  train to change.

  Or... just to redo the project after changing
  the long-term: Tools / Options / Advanced

  When I access a Web page, that I created in the browser or Widget that uses an ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit Tabs the action of switching between tabs works well but the tab header does not reflect the change to display the active tab.

  In a standard browser of the tab header will be change / light tone based on the css classnames active Ajax control for settings changes dynamically in the DOM when switching between tabs and I was wondering if maybe the BB browser will not reflect/refresh css when changes on the client side affect the DOM? If that's the case (?) is there a way to force that change somehow?

  Also in the same direction and on the similar question I posted yesterday on switching between Navigation power user mode in a Widget, so javascript client-side dynamically is change the 'x-blackberry-focus' of a DOM object possible to have the change reflected in the Navigation objects? Or is the list of objects that can be traversed only generated load initial page and cannot change without a new post?

  I solved the problem with the Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer uisng having to do a "dummy" DOM change in the TabHeader after that the tab is passed between the tabs then forcing the refresh and repaint the tab headers.

  I have VCO device 5.1.2 race. I'm sure that I have it configured correctly as used to work once the installation program.
  The Group Admin VCO is set to SYSTEM_DOMAIN_administrators_ and my account is part of this group.
  When I connect VCO customer I have no problem creating folders and new workflow (or duplicate).
  However, I seem to not be able to modify the workflow. When I go in the schema tab I can't drag items of workflow to him. As a fact, I do not see the items appear on the left side at all. Any ideas what could be the problem?

  Cannot change at all. The license is OK. I solved the problem by updating 5.1.2. I was running 5.1.1 5.1.2 not reported by mistake.

  Windows 7 laptop of my grandson, I'm migrating FIREFOX (excellent resource!) of my aging XP desktop. An existing Mozilla installation on the guarded device tries to connect to an ISP in Sydney (1000km) which kept out, I guess because the signal is too weak. Too far - on the Internet?

  Reinstalled my new ISP contact, reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, copied the old profile XP (just underneath the random string file name), but cannot change the fault. Firefox at startup tries to raise the old ISP (Sydney) and expires, and then allowing me to establish a manual connect with the ISP (my current) new.

  I cannot change my printer using Firefox. When I try to select another printer from the dropdown menu, the menu will close and I'm still on the printer I used. With the help of troubleshooting, I followed instructions to reset the printer. He failed. I have reset the default printer to a different printer through Windows 7 settings. He failed.   Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that you want to change the BIOS language on your system in current Dutch English.  I'm happy to help you with this.

  Was the Dutch language that the BIOS was set to out of the box or he later changed in Dutch?

  If original default systems was English, you can try to look at the motherboard of your system guide. HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - specifications of the motherboard, Thimphu. At the bottom of the page is an indicator for the riders for the BIOS and CMOS password. If your default language was English, you can use the jumper to clear the current CMOS settings, including language.
