  What OS do you have?

  Heres to help, you need to an ethernet cable, or adapter wireless XBOX 360.

  With the ethernet cable, connect one end on the XBOX and one end to your laptop.
  You go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center > change the adapter settings. Then you select your wireless network and your local network.
