Cannot configure Microsoft mouse and keyboard left-handed Center

With regard to:

I use the mouse with my left hand. Prior to Windows 7 updated with the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center I could change my mouse for left-handed people click (which means, primary click secondary click left and right). Now, with the update. There is no way to change the way I need it, lefty.
I tried to uninstall Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center but without success on that. Research and research everywhere nothing, looked in the web for answers and nada! Please help me, cheers!

Well, disappointment! MMKC is only for MS mouse :-(  I had assumed (Yes, I know what it means) that you use a Microsoft mouse.

You can uninstall the MMKC via Control Panel > programs and features. But unless you go to Windows Update and hide than a update or it will reinstall itself. You have your updates automatically download and install the value? If so, you need to temporarily change to another parameter, so you can hide the update.

Once MMKC is uninstalled, then your mouse should return to the driver that you are using. If this isn't the case, then you need to reinstall the CD that comes with it (if any), or of their support site.

  • Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.3.188.0 is not Exchange buttons of the mouse correctly with Windows Remote Desktop

I use Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center for years with no problems. For example, version 2.2.173.0 worked well. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I swapped the buttons on my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (so that the right button's "click" and the left button displays a context menu, for example). When I connect to a remote computer, traded buttons continue to operate as programmed.

Just set Windows Update to update my mouse and keyboard Center to the 2.3.188.0 version. Now when I use the Windows Remote Desktop to connect to another computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my button is not honored. In other words, on the local computer, the right button of the mouse is 'click '. On the remote computer, the left mouse button is 'click '. The keys are reversed on the local computer, as I have it configured, but not on the remote computer.

I called Microsoft and was transferred to various departments. I would like to report this bug, although I have to pay out of pocket, but there seems to be no way to report this bug.

Is there a way to report this bug to Microsoft? Is there a solution? How can I revert to a previous version of Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

I suggest to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before the update.

You can also uninstall the keyboard and the mouse Center programs and features.

Then, go to this site and download the previous version.

(I couldn't find any previous version on Microsoft sites, but I checked the file hash values, I downloaded Microsoft previously).

  • Can't install/uninstall Microsoft mouse and keyboard Center!

Hi, I got problem with the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Centre because he doesn't identify my touch mouse correctly (classified as a HID-compliant device and not by its name as my Sidewinder X 4 keyboard). I uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs, and I also uninstalled the drivers for my mouse AND my keyboard (because it showed a double receiver device in device manager). I restarted my computer, but when I tried to install the drivers again in the process of installing mouse and keyboard I got an error message telling me that it was already installed. I uninstalled it again (the "ghost" of it is still listed in Add/Remove Programs) and restarted. When I tried to reinstall, I got the message again who told me that it was already installed. This is when strange things began to happen. The program was once again listed in Add/Remove Programs (this time with its icon and not only a "ghost"). I tried uninstalling and received a message telling me that the uninstall process could not be met because some the original installation files have been corrupted or missing. But now, the program has been listed in the Windows Start menu and when I double click it it started an installation process ceased to immediately resume a message that mkc.msi was missing from a temporary file to My Documents, and he could not proceed, so now I can't install or uninstall the cursed thing. I tried to restore my computer but it doesn't solve all problems. I suspect that some registry entries are not deleted properly when the first uninstall process. I don't want to mess with the registry by myself, at least not until I know what registry entries are created by and in connection with the program. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded the last Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center (version 2.7.133.0 on Windows 7 64 bit). [This now supports Excel with the ergonomic mouse Sculpt, thanks!] I noticed that there is a support link that is supposed to take you to the "Microsoft Hardware Support Page.

  • How to remove Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

Hello, I look at a log of the events, and I noticed that there was some sort of error with the keyboard. Recommended action was to remove the driver and reinstall. So that's what I did. I have a Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard 2000. Once I deleted the driver, then I tried to reinstall the driver which is bundled in a package called Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center. After downloading and extracting, invites a mistake: "this version of the software is already installed on this system. To re - install this software, you must remove it all first, and then rerun Setup from the installation media. For more information about removing a program, see Windows Help. "So, naturally, the first thing I did was look for an uninstall. Hmm, nothing to add or remove programs, there is nothing in the folder of the Start Menu. So the only other thing I could think to do was to delete the files in the C:\ directory, I did. But still, after trying to reinstall this driver, I get this same error. Will you please tell me how to remove this software from my computer, so I can reinstall it, so that I can use the good driver for my keyboard instead of ' HID Keyboard Device. Thank you.

Hi, I thought about it. Or, at least, I understood how to uninstall. It turns out that Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center is in Add or remove programs, you just need to search to find it. And I uninstalled. So, I'll just reinstall and go from there.

    Hi faignard,

Thanks for the reply. It is regrettable that uninstall the existing mouse device manager drivers did not help to solve the problem.

I suggest that you go to the program and features under programs installed and check if there are any associated with IntelliPoint software or any software application related to the mouse installed. In the affirmative, please go ahead and uninstall them and then try to install the driver software IntelliPoint 8.2 in compatibility mode as stated in my previous post dated 22 December 2014. • The VM cannot accept the mouse and keyboard in Windows 8.1 hosted environment

    Hi experts,

Recently, I installed VMWare Workstation on Windows 8.1 10.0.2. Loading VM existing comments, I found that the guest VM (Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008) could not accept a keyboard input and mouse click. I wonder if anyone has experienced the similar case and all available solutions.

    Thank you

    Brian

I have a similar problem that arose just in these days too in the Console Workstation 10.0.2 on update Windows 8.1 (works RDP via remote access to the VM, i.e.). Œuvres for keyboard, but the mouse does not work on any type of VM, Windows 2012 R2, Windows 8.1, Ubuntu 14.04. New installation of virtual machine or reinstall workstation 10.0.2 brand does not solve the problem either. Last update of Windows on Jun - 16, was a cumulation of KB2962409 who might have something to do with it.

    Thoughts anyone?

Although, oddly enough, I don't have this problem for a long time, and it was overall very rare until I took my first SP2 and exchanged for another. Remember, chkdsk used to dismiss the problems of file system that can cause the pilot and problems of parameters.  That it will not solve a driver problem unless a file system error is the cause.  Completely uninstall, reboot, and reinstall the software and drivers, followed by an another restart can help.

You have activated sync settings? If so, turn it off and remove the settings all synchronized on all synchronized computers.  Reboot, login, change the settings to tilt scrolling, confirm that scrolling is reversed and then reboot again.  Then you can return again to sync on all PC settings, you use it with Windows 8.1.  Does make a difference in your situation?
