Cannot connect by Satellite P750 to TV via HDMI

Hello

I am trying to connect a Satellite P750 with Windows 7 to a TV via HDMI and have had no success.

I tried without success to the following:
1. I chose F5 function to extend the desktop with desktop + HDMI, but also just HDMI only
2. I tried the windows P for the use of projector function
3. I tried different TV including Panasonic and Sony Bravia
4. I tried another HDMI cable, I use my Xbox with
5. in the devices section, I can see the TV is added and tried to change the settings, without success
6. when I looked online for a solution, a solution was to download HMDI Control manager.
7. After installing it and when I tried to use it, I got the pop-up message "using the HDMI control, you must activate it.

So I was wondering if the HDMI port is not properly enabled. According to me, he works one way or another, otherwise the computer would not be able to detect the TV when connected.

Can you please offer any assistance?

> 1. I chose the F5 function to extend the desktop with desktop + HDMI, but also just HDMI only

And what exactly happens if you press Fn + F5?
You see the Toshiba Flash Cards appearing at the top of the screen menu while pressing FN + F5?

Please note that the output screen must be changed before you start to play a video.

Right channel/HDMI port is chosen in the settings of your TV?

  • Can I damage my graphics card by connecting my laptop to my tv via hdmi.

Hi, I was shopping at Best Buy and I heard someone saying that I could damage my graphics card by connecting my pc to my TV via HDMI. This is a not seem OK for me but thought I would check doube. I have a dv6-3225dx Pavilion Entertainment PC. I have windows 7 64 bit. Thank you very much

    Hello:

I've never heard of such a claim.

People connect external monitors and TV on their laptops all the time, that's why they are equipped with video/HDMI ports.

Probably, there is a higher risk of damage/overheating to the graphics card for games graphics intensive video then they streaming video to an external monitor/TV.

    I would not be concerned.

  • Cannot connect my Satellite L20 to AP

    Hello
I have a satellite L20-214, just bought it and an edimax 7205 ap.
    Both supported the 80211b specifications.
Access to the AP is completely open!
But I can't get the laptop to connect.
He sees the network in the list, but it just cannot connect to it.
    I tried all settings,
The access point works perfect with smc cards and a few old books.
I set all the possible settings in the config of Toshiba, disabled the encryption, change the channel to 1 because it is the channel of pref. of the ap and choose 80211b as prim.

For now, I'll give some further tests before I have to return the laptop to the store because it's brand new.

But I hope someone has an answer for me.

    Hello

Also check if you can find the latest version of the driver for the WiFi card. Also check Intel download page under http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1637&lang=eng

You are looking for in this forum for similar issues and proposals of solution?
Do this! There are enough discussions on these issues.

What have you already tried to solve this problem?

I mean that should first be the Wlan.
Then you should put a right SSI, encryption, and password encryption.

    Did you do that?

  • Satellite P300: no sound via HDMI on HDTV

    Hi all

I get video but no sound when I connect my laptop to my Toshiba HD TV.
I looked at the settings, but they seem to be ok.

    Any help would be great.

You must follow these steps if you connect a HD TV to the laptop:

    1. fix a TV to the laptop via HDMI, while both units are in a * "power" off * State.
    2. turn on your TV first, then the laptop.
    3. laptop should automatically detect the HDMI connection and video output can be seen via HDMI to the TV.
4 launch Sound (start (Windows logo)-> Control Panel-> hardware and sound-> Sound)
    5. on the playback tab, select "Peripheral digital output (S/PDIF)" and click on "Set as default"
    6. click on 'Apply' then 'OK' to close his
    7. the sounds played on the l should now also be heard on the TV (keys Fn + ESC or the volume dial can be used to cut the sound to the computer)

    _Please Note: _
    1. peripheral digital output (S/PDIF) installation default through Volume mixer does not output digital audio via HDMI.
2 HD DVD-video can only be displayed on the LCD of the computer bulletin board or on a television connected to the output of HDMI port. HD DVD Video cannot be displayed on televisions connected to the S-Video port or an external display connected to the RGB connector.

    Hope this helps

Currently I still have the chance to try my laptop HDMI port to connect directly to a HDMI monitor because I don't.

Is it that someone has the same problem with me? Thanks for your help.

Dell currently manufactures replacements of main card to resolve this problem. They will be available at the end of July. Please make sure you have a current subscription and contact support to be eligible for replacement.

  • Cannot connect by Satellite Pro projector if more than 3-4 m cable

We have several laptops - and we have never had any problems that they might know an external projector.
The length of the cable is normally around 10 m.

Our Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops can only connect to an external projector if the cable length is less than 3 to 4 meters.

    What shall we do?

    Hello

    > Our Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops can only connect to an external projector if the cable length is less than 3 to 4 meters.
It seems that the video signal is too weak and he cannot reach the appliance connected to the end of the cable.

I found this info useful on this page that explains this behavior:

+ A normal PC, notebook or tablet PC VGA signal is not designed to operate on long cable runs. +
+ You can find only one kind of PC or laptop will work with a long cable to projector, and another type of PC or laptop may not work. +
+ However, this does not mean that the second computer is down. +

    http://www.RM.com/support/TechnicalArticle.asp?CREF=TEC333092

    _Solution: _
The VGA signal must be amplified before it can be sent to the bottom of a long cable. These symptoms are all indicative of weak signal problems (or bad wiring).
You should always use an amplifier VGA (active), Terminal VGA box (active) or a switching VGA (active) unit when you use along the VGA cables

  • Cannot connect by Satellite A355 for a Canon IP Pixma 5000 on a LAN

Recently, we purchased the Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925, which has the operating system Windows Home VISTA 64 bytes.
The Canon Pixma 5000 printer is directly related to a Windows XP-based computer by using the 32-bit operating system.

When I go to add a printer (Option LAN) the Toshiba sees Canon printer but then returns an error message that there is a bad driver. When you go to the next step, it says that it cannot find the correct "INF". I suppose the INF file is actually on the remote computer on which the printer is connected to. So a question, where is an INF printer on a Windows XP computer?

A test, I plugged the printer directly on the Toshiba and the loaded Toshiba driver the printer. I hoped that could solve my problem, but it didn't. When I tried to add the printer, once again, like a remote printer I got the same error message that it could not find the INF file.

The "Add a printer" Wizard see Canon printer on our LINUX computer. In fact when I added the printer connected to the LINUX computer, I can print from the Toshiba. While this works, it's a bad solution, because I'm still not able to print directly to the remote printer.

Another experiment, I tried to use the printer installation disc, this was rejected by the Toshiba since he was a pilot of 32 bytes. I also downloaded from the site Web of Canon driver 64 bytes, but once again the Add Printer Wizard said that there was a missing INF file... So I always assume that I need to point to an INF file that is located on the Windows XP computer?

    Any advise?

Great news and thanks for your comments!
On the State of ink, you may have to contact the manufacture of the printer.

    Good day!

  • Cannot connect by Satellite C660D to my LCD TV

    Hello

    I need your help

I have a Toshiba satellite C660D with a graphics card AMD Radeon HD6320, with the updated drivers up-to-date. I can't connect it to my Sony Bravia KDL-40W2000.

I bought a vga-hdmi cable but the laptop does not recognize the TV, I tried all the options AV. I tried with another laptop with a s-video to s-video output and I got video connection.

I need to change the cable to a vga to s-Video or is this something missing with hdmi one?

    Thanks for your help!

    > I bought a vga-hdmi cable but the laptop does not recognize the TV

You cannot use and VGA to HDMI Cable
The VGA provides the analog signal, HDMI provides digital signals
It NOT possible to convert the analog signal to digital!

So if your laptop provides only the VGA port, so you must use and VGA cable VGA (RGB).

  • Cannot connect the Satellite A660 to WLan - card not found Intel

I unboxed it today and connected to my home wireless network. Everything was fine.
I propose then my laptop in the living room where the router and the modem is, the connection dies less than a minute or two.
Then he says that there are no networks in range at all, cannot detect everything.

I troubleshoot it and the results are: he says: problem with the router / access point is fixed; and another notification that says a network cable is disconnected or may be broken. I have no cable so idk why he tries a wired connection. I reset my router and tried everything.

I take her back to połączyćto left home in my room and it works fine, no drop outs.
It's all new, satellite a66. I made sure that my data was on and the wifi is good.

Another notification appears when I troubleshoot that says "My technology Intel wifi adapter not found" idk what it is all...

    Thank you.

    JD

    > Another notification appears when I troubleshoot that says "My technology Intel wifi adapter not found" idk what it is all...
Because of this message, I would recommend checking the status of the WiFi (WLan card) adapter in Device Manager.
You could uninstall the WLan driver in Device Manager.
Then you need to download the latest driver from this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

and should install the new drivers.
Reconfigure the Wlan connection and test functionality.

PS: Please make sure that the WiFi was enabled (FN + F8) before trying to set up the connection.
