  Sorry to bother you with this - I recently bought a Satellite A200-A1L and have tried to connect it to my TV via s-video cables... I am not new on this and know how to implement, but there seems to be problems on this laptop.

My previous laptop worked fine with s-video and the same TV I have yet (a 24 "Sony Trinitron).   I have too many Satellite A200 and I tested it with my LCD TV. Everything works fine, and all you have to do is to use the FN + F5 key combination and get on TV. Make sure that the TV is set to the right channel.

  So to be honest, it's hard to say what are the really causes your system to hang. Possible reasons:

  HIV 1-infected
  2 problem of file system Os including drivers, programms...
  3 had to be clean
  hardware problem 4

  I recommend:

  1 search for viruses
  2 reinstall the drivers (especially as a vga and chipset drivers). Check installed programs
  3 use compressed air jet to blow off the dust from the cooling module.

  I recently bought the LinkSys Router (model No.: WRT120N) and configured it. But it does not connect to my TOSHIBA laptop (model No.: Satellite A200 - 1 MB) with this new router.

  The VGA provides the analog signal, HDMI provides digital signals
  It NOT possible to convert the analog signal to digital!

  So if your laptop provides only the VGA port, so you must use and VGA cable VGA (RGB).
