Cannot create or delete accounts, or download messages

For no reason that I can discern, TBird stopped to receive or send messages. I even went back to my Beta version to install 38.4.0. I also found that I can not remove or add accounts. The Actions of account in the account page shows settings remove the account, asking me to confirm the choice, seems ok, but does not actually remove account. Try to add an account using file > new > existing e-mail account through the process to verify the account and password, but the account is not created. I am on Windows 8.1 and using Mozilla TBird for several years. Please let me know what other information I can provide that might help.

Finally finished, I hope. The above link to ' transfer the data to a new profile "of christ1 (thanks!), it was what I had to muddle through the rest. Only the real problem that left me speechless for a while were the AddressBook files: abook.mab, abook - 1.mab and abook - 2.mab. I couldn't export address book to work at all. Just generated empty files. After trying many things, I just added two additional address books to my new address book by default, which has generated additional files. I could then directly fly over the old address book files to replace those generated and rename the address books (NOT files) for what I had previously used. Maybe this will help someone in the future.

    The system is Win 7 Pro 64-bit with all available updates.  I can't say when the last time that the guest account has worked (rarely used) and just found out I can't do new additional user, accounts trying to solve the problem of account of comments... so I have not tried to enter Safe Mode and do a system restore , because I can't yet identify a useful restore point...

    There are no entries in the registry for a guest or a new standard user account.  The registry entries for the three accounts normal-quickly (2 x admin, 1 x level) seem to be appropriate.  Watch register computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

    All except the default user (I can't open) seem to have the appropriate, NTUser.DAT files although I don't know how to check for corruption.  Having both a default value

    and a default user folder seems hokey.

    I think I understand instructions how to fix or remove a corrupted profile, but that does not apply to the guest account or profiles that do not exist.

    Help?  Ideas?

    This has proved to contain leads to a difficulty.  Have to admit, when I read everything the first time, several days, I did indeed find it confusing and even the parts that I "heard" (sorta) does not appear to be related to my symptoms.

    It turns out that the answer of JDMICHAL May 17, 2011 contained this:

    (1) C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows open live
    (2) this directory has two subdirectories with a single file of each. Go into each directory and apply the following:
    (a) make a right click on the file, open the properties.
    (b) click the Security tab.
    (c) it will issue a message: "to continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties. Would continue you? ». Click on the button continue.
    (d) click on the Add button...
    (e) ' everyone' type in the box at the bottom of the dialog box. Click on "check names"; It should be emphasized the "everyone". Click OK.
    (f) ensure that the new "Everyone" entry "read" and "read & run" check under the column "allow".

    After doing this for two files, attempt to connect to the account. He must undergo.

    If you logged in as ADMINISTRATOR, then this account is probably corrupted.

    Try these to erase corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

    After the foregoing:

    Try to use the ADMIN which is accessible from Safe Mode - repeatedly tap F8 as you start - ADMIN
    has no password by default (unless someone has changed). Use this ADMIN to perform the functions
    suggested below (use of the hidden ADMIN account) If you are unable to access the mode without failure.

    Then do-, use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
    then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times. Do the
    same for other accounts that may be difficult. Then if necessary you can also reset your password
    in the accounts. Do not forget to leave your Admin account and the other to the desired level.

    Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
    repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

    DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!

    Good people you've heard of this one before:

    I can connect to my basic admin account, but not others.  I tried to create new user accounts after you delete the old user accounts but system would not apparently carry out process.  I get the following warning:

    Service user profile Service failed to connect
    User profile cannot be loaded.

    I tried all of the recommended patches (see list below)

    1 ran all appropriate steps as stated in the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215 - no joy
    There is not other profiles listed in the register except the administrator account on the basis and since I couldn't connect successfully to a user apparently newly created accounts, the profile has not completed the process of generation.

    2. I have not ran the SFC system - no joy.  He replied with the following: Windows Resource Protection did not find any breach of integrity.

    Then... of other big ideas?

    An account will be considered as inactive if you don't sign not for 270 days or within the first 10 days after registering. The account will be deleted if it has been inactive for 365 days. When the account is deleted, the user name is immediately available for registration.

  • Cannot create or delete applications Essbase with the Admin user.

    I'm running Essbase in version 11.1.2.3.505. For some reason, I can't create or delete applications in Essbase using the native admin account. I suspect it may be due to the fact that I wore recently users another environment via LCM HSS & that the roles were somewhat detached/altered in the HSS database. I checked that the commissioning for the admin user has full administrator for the Cluster Essbase HSS rights. The ID works very well elsewhere in the suite of the EMP, workspace, planning, etc. But the option to create or delete applications are greyed out. I have a workaround, where I can use a user newly created/configured to handle these tasks. I'm not sure how LCM would allow the superposition of the admin account properties in the HSS schema.

    FYI - check the table CSS_USERS, the creation date is the date of construction original (as well as all other indigenous users) - so I don't think it's relevant. I guess the problem would lie in CSS_PROVISIONING_INFO, CSS_ROLES, or a similar place. After opening a SR with Oracle, they recommended that I restore the entire schema I quickly rejected. He is not a danger, because I use the workaround. But it would be nice to have an overview of the pros on what is happening / what has happened.

    I can't create a sync account. I've never had an and try to configure a so that I can sync my firefox with my android. I followed the instructions to create one, but when I push the button finish, I don't get a window that says complete installation. I tried several times.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    Also, make sure you aren't blocking cookies.

    Please create an account on your computer and then configure the account on your phone using our online facility of MOTOBLUR account. In order to create an account on your phone, you must have a WiFi connection or 3 G. An edge data connection works generally as the data is moving too slowly and the connection timeout.

    Problem solved. Verizon had already created an account for me using the telephone number of my BB without so much as informing me. Unfortunately, the error message if displayed when you enter the code PIN indicated that the cause, which totally fooled me. When I finally called Verizon Support and gave them the PIN, the agent immediately informed that I already had an account, but with a user id under which I would normally not have chosen. But that's ok.
