Cannot delete a project file
I have a snapshot with four files folder in my project. I want to delete one of these files in the folder, but there is no option delete library for only one file. I tried to delete the entire folder of snapshots and try again, but I can't remove that three other files, not the folder. The option 'Delete library' is not available on the 'wrong' file or folder.
I tried to delete the project alias and reboot, no effect.
LabVIEW 2011 SP1
I explain what I did to get to this point. I saved on my part of the project of the bmp.llb (in vi.lib/picture), consisting of four files and then replaced the sub-vis in the top level reading BMP File.vi with those of my project. One of them was 'Flip and Pad for photo Control.vi '. It turns out that after editing the files for my need, I'm done with a local "Flip and Pad... vi" (not referenced by any other VI in my project) and BMP.llb (referenced by my local 'read BMP File.vi').
Finally, I just used... "Rename" to something different than BMP.llb, then the option 'delete library '. "appeared. Deleted file.
So basically, the local file is clashing with a dependency of the same name.

CANNOT OPEN OUTPUT FILE, CANNOT DELETE THE OUTPUT FILE
Try to patch effect for Deskjet 722C for Windows 7. Not able to replace the existing .dll files. Error messages: could not open the output file, cannot delete the output file.
Thank you for your response. I found these solutions but still had problems.
However, I was able to bypass Windows with a DOS command that did the trick.

Cannot open the project file with write access.
I saw that this problem has been reported before, but have yet to find a solution.
I have my project file in an external hard drive. When I plug the hard drive to another computer and want to save it, I get this message:
"Cannot open the project file with write access. The file may be locked, or you don't have permission to write to this location. Select Save as... »
I don't want to register as because other projects refer to this file and also my file is still going to be ruined.
FYI two computers use Windows 7.
All solutions?
Right-click on the folder in Question and select Properties. Select tab security make sure you that you then add everyone to the list of users. Do you this by selecting edit and then add. Type in all members of the section of the object, and click ok. Then select all the user and check full control. Press Apply and we'll adjust the permissions for the folder and subfolders and files.

Cannot delete the plist file system.
My Time Machine is not automatically back up my drive. He worked for some time (don't know why) and then stops working automatically. I tried to implement the procedure laid down by Linc Davis, delete the file com.apple.TimeMachine.plist, but make the message: 'com.apple.TimeMachine.plist' cannot be changed or deleted because it is required by OS X. I tried to change the permissions in the file information window to include Administrator Read and Write (only has this permission system. Which translates the message: "the operation cannot be performed because you don't have the necessary authorization."
Using the terminal window and sudo rm command produces the same message.
I do a backup manually through the system preferences window, but it shows immediately that a backup disk has not been selected. Next time, I select the backup disk, perform a manual backup. Repeat the next time, I have run a manual backup.
10.11.1 on new iMac, retina 5 K with 16 GB of memory running. Has made a migration to this previous computer Mac Pro 10.7.5.
Also the Time Machine backup drive icon backup weather icon to see the Machine. Relaunch the Finder does not fix issue.
Question: How can I delete the plist file?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
A bug in OS X 10.11.1 prevents automatic backups that happens when a desktop Mac (iMac, Mac mini or Mac Pro) is connected to a UPS (UPS) with the USB feature.
Please, back up all data before proceeding.
First, check the App Store for a later update to OS X. If it is available when you read this review, install it and see if the problem is resolved. I speak not beta versions.
Otherwise, you can work around the bug as follows.
These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Please triple - click anywhere in the line below on this page to select:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine RequiresACPower 0
Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.
Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).
☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste in the Terminal window by pressing the command-V key combination. I tested these instructions only with the Safari browser. If you use another browser, you may need to press the return key after pasting. You will be asked for your login password. Nothing displayed when you type. Type carefully, and then press return. If you do not have a password, you will need to configure one before you can run the command. You can get a warning to be careful. Confirm. You don't need to display the warning.
If you see a message that your user name "is not in the sudoers file", then you have not logged as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.
Wait for a new line ending with a dollar sign ($) below what you entered. You can then quit Terminal.
Restart the computer and test.

RTE de LV cannot open the project files that include references .lvlib in dependencies
I am writing a DLL LabVIEW to inspect the LabVIEW project files, and I noticed that if a project has a .lvlib reference in its dependencies, then the Run-Time Engine is contradictory on whether or not he can find the project file:
- Project.Open returns error 7 (file not found)
- Project.GetFileLVVersion is a success
Here are some excerpts from my code of G and C engaged in this behavior:
int openStatus = StatusSuccess;
char * projectVersion = createStringWithLength (VersionStringLength);printf ("Analysis %s\n", pathchaine);
OpenProject (pathchaine & openStatus, projectVersion, VersionStringLength);
printf (" project written in LabVIEW %s\n", projectVersion);If (openStatus is StatusSuccess)
{
printf (" Open the project file.") \n") ;
}
on the other
{
printf("Error: could not find Project file, or file was not a Project file (Error code %i).\n», openStatus);")
}However, when running in the development environment, the two methods are successful.
Is this a bug, and if so, is it fixed in 2014 of LabVIEW?
Here's how you can reproduce:

true Here's another way to trigger this behavior, which shows that LabVIEW occasionally Range the element dependencies:
- Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in LabVIEW.
- Add to the project a new VI and place the constant path of file "Application Directory" his block diagram.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)" and use the default name for the new VI.
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.
- Remove the "Application Directory" path of file constant
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Note that the problem has disappeared, as is expected.
- Add the "Application Directory" path of file constant in the block diagram.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice there is no problem, which is surprising, because that there should be a mistake because the dependencies item was not tidy.
- Close the new VI and pull out of the project.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in a text editor.
- Note that the dependencies item was put away.
- Add VI back to the project.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.

When I used to get the path of LabVIEW libdir in the ini of the executable file, execution is able to load and inspect the project file.
LIBDIR = 'C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2013'
While it is expected that a stand-alone executable can be placed on a system that does not have the LabVIEW IDE, it is still surprising to me that the execution engine cannot find standard library of LabVIEW without some explicit guidance. What other factors contribute to this behavior?

Cannot delete the pdf file in windows 8
HA, this is a great bug...
Don't forget to mark your post as answered also, thanks for the tidbit of info, I think I have encountered this bug of Windows too
I created the project (file PREL) in the first 11 elements in the Windows 7 Professional environment. I was able to open it without problem.
Now I have Windows 8.1. When I try to open this project, I have a saying "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed."

Thanks for the reply.
When you import media source in a first Elements (any version), you are not importing real media. What you have in the media of the project are copies of the originals which are stored in the designated place hard drive. But the project needs to trace these originals to the save location as they were when they were imported in the project. If you move the source media, delete rename them or even that they are in the folder, you will encounter some bad media reconnect issues. At this point, the message "Where is the file...?" that you get when you try to reopen the saved closed project will be a major asset by her reconnects. Alternatively, you can use the function replace images for her reconnects.
The following links go to the above factors...

Cannot delete the program files x 86
Hello
I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 32 bit 64 bit.
This is still a Program Files x 86 folder that I am trying to get rid. I managed to remove most of the files, and I was able to change the permission of owner so I can delete some other files.
However, no matter how I change ownership and permission, I am unable to remove Adobe files and common files.
Thanks for your suggestions, tips.
You still need the x 86 folder. If it was the 32-bit "remains", he would have the x 86 in the name of the folder. This file is required and is used by many points of 32 bits, which are present in the base 64-bit OS, as objects of assistance of the browser plugins like flash and all the 32-bit programs you run (as all programs in the world, almost, like email clients, email programs, media players, etc.).

I made a simple upload form and try to use the cffile to download, rename, and delete the original file. Thus, the process goes like this.
Step 1: The user will browse their computer to capture the image they would like to download (ex: picture1.jpg). then click on the button transfer.
Step 2: Use a cffile which would be to download the file. (picture1.jpg)
Step 3: Other cffile to rename the original to the user ID picture that I have in the database. (renamed in 1 ".jpg")
Step 4: Then another cffile to delete the original picture file, so there is only 1 picture, which is that of the renowned cffile. (on server, deleted picture1.jpg 1.jpg)
hope that makes sense. Here's the code I used to try to get there.
