Cannot delete user accounts

While trying to understand why some programs would not load on my account a couple of different "technicians decided to create new user accounts to see if they would load on the new user account."  After you have determined that they would not, they let the user accounts it and no matter what I do, I was unable to remove these user accounts.

Accounts have been set up as standard accounts.  I am the administrative account only.  It gives me an error message; It is not only to remove the account.  It is said that it can be files and application if I want to delete the files in the account, to which I answer, Yes and then say to delete the account and it doesn't.  I have a desktop Dell Vostro220s, 32-bit.

Thank you

Paula

N ° maybe I did something wrong.  Your orders are a little difficult to follow.  I wasn't sure whether to use parentheses or put spaces...

I'm sorry.

Lines in parentheses are indicative. The other, you must type exactly as they are, without add, change, or remove anything.

You must erase the internal drive and install a new OS instead of simply delete the old account.

  • Cannot delete the account of a user with administrator rights

I want to remove a user who has administrator rights account.  Win XP machine has two users (Administrator and a user name) that both are of type of administrator account.

I you as an administrator and should be able to change the other named to Limited user account, but for Limited is greyed out.  The option to delete the named account is not present.

How can I delete this account, leaving only administrator?

Often, I find that using the command line commands gives errors better when you can not do something.  Try the following:

    o bring a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd")

o enter the following command in the window:

    net localgroup administrators

o that it must return a list of all users with administrator privileges.  You should see the built-in user 'Administrator' and your other user (assuming that both have administrator privileges).  To remove administrator privileges from the user (assuming that this another username is "Joe"), then enter the following command:

    net localgroup administrators Joe/remove

If this is not possible, an error no doubt will provide you with enough information.

  • How can I restore deleted user account?

During a session to help with Intuit on the installation of a product update, it became necessary to set up a new user in Windows XP Tablet Edition.  In the process of all other user accounts have been deleted. How to restore a user account?  The new account is an administrator account.

    Hobler,
If the user account has been deleted you can not restore with the help of a program of backup\restore.  If you have another drive and that you have backed up your hard drive then user accounts should be part of your backup.  You just go through the restore process for items you need.
If you do not have a backup, and then they are gone. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Cannot switch user accounts

I have two user accounts on my Windows Vista Home Premium system. Both have been implemented as administrators, but one account was changed to the user 'Standard '. Once this change has been made I could no more switch users or make other changes to the users. Given that the current account is only a Standard user, it can only perform basic functions so I can't try to restore the system before the change. If I try to change the only guest user I give is of the ASP.NET Admin account asking for a password that I don't have. Via Explore, I can see users, but cannot access that I see the guest of ASP.NET.  How can I pass on my admin account?

  • Cannot delete user records

Before going any further, I know that I can't.  Now, please read on.

I created a new standard user account (let's call it the NAME) in first Grade, went to connect to it and got the message:

Unable to connect "the user profile Service service has no logon. User profile cannot be loaded. »

So I went back to my original admin account (call the ADMIN), removed NAME and put in place again.  This time, I managed to log on successfully.

However, I've now eaten dog in my user folder, namely the following new folders:

    NAME

    NAME.COMPUTER - NAME

    NAME.COMPUTER - NAME.000 - that's the new version of the account NAME

    TEMP

I thought that a system restore might do the trick, but the last two have thrown an error, would have been nothing changed.  I tried with another earlier and it worked.  (All three were the day before, I put in place FOR the first time).  I am now just my ADMIN account, confirmed by being the only one to appear in the CP and the only key S-1-5-21 to appear in HKLM\...\ProfileList and HKEY_USERS, where before there had been another for NAME.COMPUTER - NAME.000.

But I still have these thugs records.  I searched the registry and there is no mention of them anywhere, but they will not yet clear.  They warn that they are shared, I continue, but it seems that I need the SYSTEM permissions to remove.  I am logged on as administrator, I know that's not always enough, but when it comes to permissions, everything goes over my head (even if in principle, I know what they are).

Because the records are nowhere mentioned in the registry, I though maybe I could remove it from the command line with elevated privileges.  There is no message error but back in Windows, they are still there.

I have now run out of ideas.  I have read several related articles, but, as is often the case, none seem to answer precisely in these circumstances.  The answer is probably there, but I can't see what I'm skating on the edges of my technical expertise.

If someone the spirit infuses me a bit please?

    Thank you

    DD

That should be good to remove. Just make sure that your own account (or a group you are a member) already has access to the folder so that you do not yourself finish locking.

  • deleted user account and the screen is the user name and password

    Hello

Thank you very much for the help in advance.

My personal PC at home never used me to ask for a password when I start it up, I can't put in when I took it out of the box, if I did, then I forgot. now, I went and I deleted the user account (admin) on W7 (the only one I had)... went to RUN > typed in "control userpasswords2" > highlighted account > remove... the PC did not ask if I want to keep the files or not, he just asked me to reboot now or later. I rebooted.

THE PROBLEM IS: after I restarted the PC, it now wants to put me the user name and password, I do not know if she wants my old username and password or what? (Forgot my password)

Will be commissioning a PC on the mode using safe without a boot disk (not yet tried) and what happens if the hidden admin account is what I deleted, then where?

Please help because I tried to put my old username that I used until I deleted the account... what username and password he wants and what can I do to use my PC again.

What is your computer brand and model? If not a branded computer, what is your motherboard brand and model?

When you start in safe mode, how many accounts user do you have? If more than one, you can create a new user account?

I continually deleted a particular user account (this is a standard user account) but it reappears constantly.  Now I have 6 of these identities - each named Joseph Corona.Rhonda - PC; Joseph Corona.Rhonda - PC.000; Joseph Corona.Rhonda - PC.001 and so on.  I successfully deleted other users without problem.  I upgraded my system from Windows Vista to Windows 8 without incident and apart from this problem are very pleased with the upgrade.

I used another account (Administrator) to delete but good old ' Joe just comes back!  Need help please, it's driving me crazy.

    Hi Rhonda,

    Thank you for the update.

I recommend you let flow the Windows Defender in offline mode and check if it helps.

What is Windows Defender in offline mode?

Note: The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • A library fom a deleted user account still shows in my Windows Media Player "other libraries".

I created a couple of local user accounts on my computer that I deleted later.  Even if the user accounts are no longer on my computer, their libraries still appear in Windows Media Player "Other libraries" on my system and for other people on my network. How can I get my computer to stop sharing of libraries that do not exist?

In fact, I don't want one of my libraries in ANY of my user accounts appears on the computers of other network users.  How do I stop sharing libraries?

Open services.msc and find the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If you stop and disable the service, that the libraries should no longer appear on other computers.

But if you had a deleted user who always showed upward, you will have to dig into the registry to fix. I had the same problem with a deleted user and only just found out how to remove it.
First you must find the SID of the user removed before removing all the elements in the registry.
Look in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList. There are sub keys that represent the SIDS of the users of the system. When click on each sub-cles see you on the right side ProfileImagePath that can help determine who the user is.
Once you have the SID go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\PREFERENCES\HME (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\PREFERENCES\HME if you use 32 bit 8 Win). Here will be locked by using the same SID you found under the ProfileList key. Delete the main folder that relates to the SID, you want to remove. To remove the SID folder, you may need to take ownership of the folder SID key.
Then go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Media Player NSS\3.0\Media servers. Here will be another folder related to SID that you remove. After the two keys were removed, restart the Windows Media Player network sharing service.

I have connected to the account Behance I never want to delete it. At the base of the request to remove the account form, it says "Enter your name in full to continue" - I get my name and bingo - unrecognized name! How can this be. In interest if they do not mean that my name and then put the exact terminology they are looking for - THAT DO SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT. As I have already said - my design and clients are private and confidential not for the rest of the world to plagiarize. and before you say that this question is in the wrong forum - Behance is in the bloody cloud, so it's a matter of cloud.
