Cannot enter Sleep Mode after undating for win7 / new BIOS

Model: dv4 1435dx

problem: cannot enter the mode 'sleep', when close the lids or click on 'sleep' without closing the lid, computer, enter the mode 'sleep' but immediately wake automatically. but it will not occur if the computer in mode sleep automatically

So, don't know where the problem occurs, the first time I got Windows 7 update kit. It automatically update the BIOS of F43 to F44. then install windows 7. I don't remember if this problem occurred at this time. seems not at first, but after 1/2 weeks later

can I update the BIOS to F61. problem still exist. then F65A. problem still exist.

all other things are fine. No reset automatically. Hibernation is very good.

So, I don't know if this is a bug in the latest version of the BIOS.

In addition, update the driver from HP protect smart update of the window (I installed the driver from the website of HP, but windows update say there is a better driver)

I wonder if it will be a problem too.

Help, please. without "standby" mode, it is not good at all

Oh, well, it's kinda stupid to answer the question myself...

But I can't find the solution

These guys have the same problem with me

Just to go the device management, and then right click your mouse wireless, cancel the 'allow this device to wake your computer'... then problem solved.

    Hello, Norbert

Maybe you should check the settings of Vista power again. I have too many A300 and everything works fine.

  • After going into sleep mode after automatic update of Windows 7, Pavilion p6210y PC won't sleep

In two weeks, after an update of HP launched automatically, my monitor is not recognized - I tried to restart my PC via the power button, but the action brought everything back without interruption to the place.  Finally I made the necessary update HP closed down and all was back to normal.  Last night I made a full stop and a Windows 7 launched updates (do not turn off your computer, etc..).  This morning when I powered back upward, I got messages on the windows during Setup, etc, then everything returned normally.  I worked for a few hours and left the machine - it entered into mode 'sleep' and now I can't get out of fashion "Eve".  If I power cycle the monitor, I can messages same "cannot detect.  If I try to shut down the PC via the power button, the light is orange/sleep, I hear a humming, then seeing if off, then back to orange/snoring, reverse, etc..  Keeps the bike like this.  I'm afraid that question a couple of weeks may have been a sign of early warning of a problem of h/w, but am not sure.  Can anyone help?  I am not very savvy h/w... and hope that it is something more simple than that.  The PC is 2.5 years.

    Hello

    1. what happens when you restart the computer from sleep? It back to windows, such as the release of sleep or does go through the normal boot process?

2 have you done any recent software or the hardware changes on your computer?

    3. don't you face the problem only by playing games?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run a full scan of your computer and check.

    Microsoft Security Essentials

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, it is possible that infected files would be deleted.

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to start your computer in a clean boot state, and check if all third-party software could be the cause. Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Don't forget to return the computer to normal after completing the troubleshooting by following the steps described in step 7.

    Method 3:

I also suggest that you perform a clean boot material to check if the problem is caused by any device.

Follow these steps to perform a clean boot material:

    a. disconnect all external devices.

    b. start the computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    c. click 'Start', type 'DEVMGMT.» SMC"in the search text box and press ENTER."

    d. expand "graphics cards".

    e. right click on your graphics card, select "Properties"

    f. click the "driver" tab, click on disable (disable the selected device). Click OK

    g. use the same method to disable other devices such as: map of the sound card, Modem, network, CD - R drive. Note Some devices not available must be disabled.

    h. restart the computer.

After you turn off the devices, start in normal mode and try to activate the devices one by one and check which device is causing the problem.

  • Get the Blue error screen when entering Sleep Mode

    Original title: BSOD

I get BSOD a few times of the day when my computer enters "sleep".  I guess it is driver related but is unable to identify the culprit. I use BlueScreenView and on some files .dmp lists as the "caused by driver" ntkrnlpa.exe on others, it lists tcpip.sys.  Can I download files .dmp full if someone can give me an idea on how to solve this problem?  Thanks in advance.  Vista by the way.

    Hello

BSOD CAUSE tcpip.sys which is a component of Windows that means something else, he drove in error.
The question is usually the network drivers used and/or antivirus/antispyware/security programs.

  • "Sleep" mode only works for a minute

    Hello

I've recently set up a HP Pavilion a6530f PC and it seems to work very well.  When you press the symbol of the 'Moon' on the keyboard to put the computer in standby mode, it goes into the mode 'sleep' as it should.  The only problem is that after about 2 minutes, the computer returns, so not really enter the mode "sleep" and leaving the computer on when I don't want to.  Does anyone know how to get the "sleep mode" actually stay in mode 'sleep'?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Well, it is supposed to wake up if the mouse moves, etc. so if you walk by, or a heavy truck driven by could wake up. You can lower the sensitivity of your mouse or shut down then upward on the moving mouse feature.

Moreover, I say this because I think that a6530f is that a desktop PC has so probably a connected mouse. You are in the Notebook forum however.

Yes, it worked well with active FileVault. If this isn't the problem.
