  (1) quit Lightroom

  (2) deleted my "Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs" file to the place mentioned in the article:

  Preferences and other locations of the file file | 5 Lightroom

  (3) restart Lightroom.

• I am trying to find a downloadable version of windows service pack 2-3

  I am trying to find a downloadable version of windows xp SP2, im running on service pack 1, and the need to upgrade pack 3 through 2 then 3.  the automatic update will not work and the download file, I've found is IT multi users! How do the 3 pack?

  Although there is mention of this multi users, individual users can use these files, too. :-)

  It's not important to upgrade IE6 until AFTER the SP3 is installed.
  Here are the detailed instructions:

  1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

  2. disconnect Internet.

  3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

  4. install SP2. Restart TWICE.

  5 install the SP3. Restart TWICE.

  6 switch to IE8. Restart TWICE.

  7 install an Antivirus software.

  (What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

  8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

  (Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

  9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

  10 re - enable automatic updates.

  After the back if you need guidance.

  Yesterday morning I disable my Acer aspire laptop and it was installing some updates from microsoft...   Since you are not able to start your computer in normal mode and in safe mode, I suggest you to do a startup repair.

  Method 1

  STAGES OF STARTUP REPAIR

  If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.
  If you have a Windows Vista installation disc
  1. Insert the installation disc.
  2. restart your computer.
  Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
  3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
  Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
  4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
  5. click on repair your computer.
  6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
  7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

  Method 2

  If the Startup Repair tool does not help then you will need to do an offline system restore

  1 boot from the dvd

  2. Select the language

  3. click on "Repair your computer" on the install now screen

  4. click Next in the System Recovery Options screen

  5. click on system restore

  6. choose the date that you want to restore

  If I understand correctly, you cannot create new folders that you have only one option which is to create a portfolio.

  You are running Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, Norton or McAfee? If you run one of those, she didn't have Defender. It's good, not bad.   I am running Vista 32 bit Service Pack 2 OS (windows Vista Home premium).  I recently downloaded "Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X".  It does not run is displayed for me select a desktop ICON.  I can find it in my control panel under "programs and features" where I can uninstall it if I want to.  I found a website that said it was a problem knowledge and my advice on how to solve the problem by following the methods described: 1. navigate to: C:\windows\system32\.   2. navigate to a directory called "ACROMED.  It is my problem, I do not have a listed directory called "ACROMED.  In any case after I do that I am to run flasutil9b and run as administrator, then follow the prompts through the installation of flash wizzard.  What I am doing wrong?  Unfortunately I am not computer enough to continue the process.
