Cannot find MSN Messenger in the new installation of Windows Live Essentials 2011.

I had MSN Messenger until I get WLE 2011. Had a problem with my installation of Windows Live Essentials 2011. I had a full unistall and then re - installed. Finally got right. I am running XP, with upgrade to Office 2010. After installing Windows Live Essentials 2011, it shows I have messenger, but now I can't find a way to get it on my desktop or the taskbar. In msconfig, I show it as a startup program, but I don't see it anywhere. I can go to the C drive and find a folder in Program Files marked Messenger, but it does not help me. I have messenger when I log on Windows Live, but it's the only place where I have. I would like to come back to my office. How can I do?

Maybe it's too late and you already found the solution, but go to your C drive on your computer, select program files, you will see the windows folder, open it and you'll see the Messenger, right click and create a shortcut on your desktop. should work
