Cannot find the backup store in DOCS n Toshiba drive external HARD to PIX

Hi guys,.

a few days back I have backup my loads of PIX and Documents TOSHIBA external HARD drive (3.5-inch USB 2.0 Black + Silver HARD drive, 2.5-inch USB 2.0 HDD Black + Silver) in-store "My PIX" and "My Documents" backup of your laptop. Now I'm trying to restore it on another laptop but I can't find them through TOSHIBA REGEN backup software. But first I couldn't find my music store of movies but the itch to get through 'repair catalogue' in the software... Has anyone asked similar problem as I do? Any help of suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Nukesh

Hello

To be honest I m no owner of these HARD drives.
But I wonder why you use the backup store to retrieve files

Why you n t access HARD drive and just copy and past the files to another location

  • Cannot find the backup files

I'm trying to restore my pc to factory settings, but when I try, it can't seem to find my files back. I have the back of the files in my external hard drive and its connected to my computer, but it doesn't seem to be able to detect it.

    Hello

You restore your system to factory with saved files (photos music, etc.).

Read this on a full backup of the computer to a date and time (different factory settings) and you have Vista Business, Ultimate or enterprise to do so.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-use-Vista-complete-PC-Backup/

If you have one of the Vista editions above and make a backup of the computer about him, here's how to restore a full backup of the computer:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/windows-vista-complete-pc-restore/.

You normally do a restore to the factory settings using the recovery disks provided when buying, or recovery discs that you made, or a recovery partition which was photographed on your hard drive during the manufacturing process.

You normally start the recovery partition recovery process by pressing F10, F11, etc at startup.

Ask the manufacturer for exact instructions.

If the above does not help, explain more in detail what you're trying to do.

    See you soon.

  • Cannot find the printer Laserjet 5100 for Windows 7 driver

I have a HP Laserjet 5100 printer installed on a computer running XP that is on a network without internet access working group.  I have a new Windows 7 computer to the same workgroup.  I want to print documents created on Windows 7 computer with the Laserjet Printer, but I need to install the printer driver Windows 7 to do this.  The drivers of HP support site says the necessary driver is built into Windows 7, but it tells me it's name or I would like to download it.  Suggestions on how to find or download the driver or what is called?

    Hi micror,.

Drivers for Windows 7 are only available online through Windows Update...

If the specific computer is unable to access the web, you can download the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

As you the not mentioned your operating system type, you can find the two options below...

If you are not sure of your type of operating system, follow the steps below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02033168

For the edition of 32-bit operating system, use the first result, 64-bit for the third or the fifth option (that very of your processor type, wrong that does not...)

    http://catalog.update.Microsoft.com/v7/site/search.aspx?q=LaserJet%205100

To download the Microsoft driver, first add the required file to the basket.

Then click on view basket and follow the download link...

Because the packet is compressed, you will need to use any archiver program to extract (for example Winrar).

Last but not least, as a printer is installed on Windows XP can not be automatically shared with the new client OS you need to add drivers to manually as follows:

    1. After you download the right driver to extract it to a temporary folder.
    2. From the Client (Windows 7) go to printers and devices and click Add a printer.
    3. Select this option to add a local printer
    4. From the port selection screen you can create a new port by selecting a Local Port.
    5. In the port name fill a \\HOSTNAME\Sharename prefix
      • To locate the host name of your HOST computer (XP PC), made a right click my computer and select Properties, the hostname will be listed on this screen...
      • To locate the name of the share go to printers and faxes, click right-click the printer icon and select Properties... Then, go to the sharing tab and appears the share name.
    6. Continue add it an assistant of the printer and the driver selection, click on disk... Browse ocntaining pilots the INF folder from your printer.

    Good luck

    Hello

    1. have you done any software or hardware changes on your computer before this problem?
    2. have you checked with another DVD drive?
    3. using the Windows backup feature to backup?
4 do you have third-party backup programs installed on your computer?

To work on the issue, refer to these methods.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

If it's a DVD I suggest trying to backup to an external hard drive and check to see if you get any errors.

    Step 2:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software and check if you are able to perform the backup.

    Caution:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Unable to backup (with Vista) - "the system cannot find the specified file. (0 x 80070002) »

I cant get a backup on my external hard drive through back and Restore Center in Windows Vista.  I receive the Error Message - 'the system cannot find the file specified. (0 x 80070002) "I see my drive and it's working properly."  Backup starts and then typing mistake in the first minute.  I was using another backup program (WD Smartware) successfully in training so far, but had problems with an update. Then, it was suggested that I use the Windows program because it is obviously compatible with my computer.

    Thanks for the help,
    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,

I suggest to try the steps suggested by Vincenzo Di Russo, from the following link and check if this can help:

Error message when Vista backup (0 x 80070002)

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-performance/error-message-during-vistas-backup-0x80070002/a17224b0-C53F-4AB2-9286-ddc47c683ae6

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Backup complete pc cannot find the image after factory reset

Don't know what forum this is because it is not quite fit any category.  Happy to have redirected it.

Had some problems with my laptop, so I created a full backup in Vista Business pc.  Then I reset the phone to factory settings and tried to reinstall the saved image.  The Vista is OEM installed, so used F8.  The system can't find the image even if I select D drive and view the file.

Thinking it's perhaps something to do with connections etc. that I had put in place a new instance, I created a new complete pc backup and it does not find this to be.

I bought Acronis and copied the original image (which was also recorded on an external drive) then tried to reinstall on drive C.  He failed.

Don't know what to do next.  Everything seems to be on the disks.  I read something about the load drivers.  Also something about the use of a virtual server.

Don't know where to go from here.  It's been nearly three days.

    Nine Hills,

Where you store your backup Image? On your D drive?

You have access to a retail Vista installation disc? If Yes, you can run the System Recovery Options that allow you to do a complete PC Restore to outside the Vista desktop environment.

If not, try the following steps:

    1. Click on Start-> in the field type to start searching the backup status and Configuration, click on enter.
    2. Click on restore files on the left, click Advanced Restore. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    3. Choose the files from a backup made on a different computer.
    4. Select the location of the backup you want to restore. (Can you locate your Image of restoration here?)
    5. Click Next, and follow the wizard to complete your restoration.

  • Restore failed image because of the message error "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002). Is my file of the backup OK folder structure?

I had to reinstall clean Windows 7 64-bit because of the failure of the RAID 1. I have a picture of my original installation system, but I can't restore it; everything I try, I get the message "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002).  I work through a number of possible solutions, without success so far.

According to the kb/951002 (that is for Vista but I can't find an alternative for Win 7) I made sure that the SYSTEM account has read permission for the backup folders and subfolders.  However, the file structure of the specified in the above article backup folder is different from my image file structure.  Specifically, article specified a structure of 'N.zip' file for the backup files but mine are a mixture of XML documents and VHD - i.e. no "zip" files Also, my GlobalCatalog file does not what kind of file, for example, it wouldn't ".wbcat" required file type specified in the article.

The differences above could explain the inability to restore the image and if so, any ideas on what to do about it?

    Kind regards

Thanks Mick, will redirect the request.

  • Windows 7 backup error "the system cannot find the file specified. (0 x 80070002) »

    * Note that I never could solve this problem. In the long run, I ended up reinstalling the operating system (for different reasons), but the issue remained pending. Thanks to those who have tried to help. (January 30, 2011)

Suddenly, I seem to have a problem with Windows 7 backup. I get the message "the system cannot find the specified file. (0 x 80070002) "at the point in the process when the backup is supposed to start. It has disabled my ability to make a backup, of course, except to the directly copy files to another hard drive. I was able to use the same USB drive in the past, so I don't know what happened.

I thought it might be a corrupt profile causing the problem, but I still get the same message on the new profile. I thought that maybe it's the reader, but I get the same message when you try to use the DVD burner.

I think my Windows software is up to date, and I looked in different places to find an answer without success. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Thank you. I would be happy to provide you with any additional information you might need.

    Hi Cuzzlor,

I finally solved the problem last week; I had the same error for 4 months.

Although the error message when opened on the Notepad kept identifying a PDF 'missing' that I had deleted my office long and the computer.  I couldn't find the file back.

I noticed that the library tends to scan and Add locations; He had made a place out of the folder, because it was a file created with a scanner.

I've removed the 'empty' location, I don't know how I didn't notice, she draws from images and my backups are free from error.

    I hope this helps.
